The suite was great. Very large full kitchen front room king bed in separate room. Easy check in and out great staff good breakfast parking on site. Was there 3 nites and did not here any traffic or noise from other rooms. The location was an easy walk to all the sites and activities. Will stay again for sure when in Ottawa.

Rooms were amazing with a great amount of space. One bedroom with 2 queen beds and the other room had the sofa pullout. There were only 3 of us there for a soccer tournament, so we had plenty of room. The kitchenette was perfect to have also. Great downtown location.

From the comfy bed, to the living space, to the fully equipped kitchen, to the spacious bath facilities, to the inclusion of buffet breakfast; being in an awesome part of the city where you were within walking distance of so much to see!

I was extremely pleased with the location of the Residence Inn... It was within walking distance of a Conference I was attending, and it was also within walking distance of all the major attractions I wanted to see while in Ottawa. I was upgraded to a large King Bed suite with a separate comfortable tv/sitting room with couch, desk and dining table. There was a separate kitchen with fridge, stove/oven, microwave and dishwasher. The cupboards were fully stocked with the essentials for cooking. The bathroom was roomy and very clean. The bed was very comfortable, the hotel was fairly quiet during the night, but noisy during the day as there were guests with kids running around. My only disappointment was the size of the hot tub in the Fitness Centre. It was very small, and the only time I could get to the hot tub was in late afternoon. It seemed that everyone with kids were also there at the same time, so it wasn't as relaxing or quiet as I had hoped. Hot tub aside, the room was fantastic and the service (front desk staff) was very friendly, helpful and courteous. I would definitely stay again.

We stayed overnight and walked to many tourist sites downtown. Very convenient. The breakfast was good with the usual selections. The manager was excellent and went above and beyond expectations providing us with compensation for a minor inconvenience that we didn't complain to him about. He just went out of his way to do it. Would stay again next time we are in Ottawa.

This is the second time that we stay at Residence Inn Ottawa Downtown and both times I book 2 rooms. The location and the breakfast is ideal for families or large groups. The staff is very attentive. Restaurants and grocery shopping are all walking distance.

We stayed for four nights (Thursday-Sunday) at the end of July while La Machine was in town. This is the perfect home base if touring around Ottawa. Within about a 10-20 minute walk to can see the Parliament buildings, Supreme Court, the Mint, National Gallery or Byward Market. The service at the hotel was excellent!! Check in was great and although breakfasts were busy they opened up another room to the side of the breakfast area for people to eat and there was never a shortage of seats! Food was great. It really was a perfect stay. We had reserved a two bedroom unit which is actually one room with a bedroom and king-size bed, living room (with a pull out couch) and a decent sized kitchen, and the other room was a studio room with a Queen size bed, a pull out couch and a small kitchenette. We actually used one of the pull out couches for one of our teens and much to my surprise it was extremely clean and comfortable. No hidden surprises. The kids did use the pool but it was very busy and it's not a big pool so they didn't stay too long but had fun while there. My husband even said that may have been the best hotel sleep he's ever had! Very comfortable beds and although the hotel was sold out we never heard anyone in the halls or around us. There is also a Tim Hortons in the lobby of the hotel which was fantastic. If you're a Starbucks fan there is one almost next door and if you waive housekeeping services before 2 am you get a voucher for $5 to spend there as well. We will definitely stay here again and have already highly recommended it to many friends!

We stayed at this hotel for 5 day and it is close to anything you want to do in downtown area, very clean, with parking and free breakfast,( some hotels in downtown area don't offer paid parking and forget about breakfast) We really had a great time!!!!!

The kitchenette in studio has no pan, pot, stove and dishwasher. It is a standard room with dishes! They have upgraded my room for the suite but again they were no fry pan in the kitchen. It is well behind the Marriott standard.

This location and property was perfect - the staff were very knowledgeable and friendly, the breakfast was wonderful - all around great facility. The property was clean and appealling - the only complaint was we did not have a facility summary booklet in our room.
