I booked 3 different hotels for my trip to Japan and this one by far was the BEST. Affordable, free breakfast, kind staff, very clean. I recommended it to all my friends. The bed is way to hard it felt like a sheet of plywood with a small pad on it. I like a firm bed but this was ridiculously hard. it hurt my hip bone. other than that it was close to the train station which was great for getting around. I did not eat the breakfast because I am allergic to wheat and dairy and there was no options for me.

Expo friendly hotel with super staff

We were going to the Expo and we were worried about the rules which said no large baggage could be brought to the venue. All the lockers at the train station were full. Even though check in was not until 3 we decided to take a chance and brought our luggage to the hotel at noon. They were very helpful and let us place our luggage in a secure locker system in the lobby. When I asked them about the check in time, as their website said they did not offer late check in after 10 pm and we were worried, as the Expo closes at 10, they were very helpful again and were able to check us in and give us room keys, although we could not enter the rooms as they were still cleaning. When we got back to the hotel after a long day at the Expo, our bags were there, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and we were able to fall into bed and rest. All in all, one of the best hotel service experiences we have ever had in Japan. Providing what was needed in a polite and efficient manner. This is not a fancy hotel, but the staff are better than the staff at many fancier hotels. If I could give them more stars I would.

The breakfast at the hotel was pretty great. I picked the next day's breakfast option on the tv and went for it, it's all free, just a heads up, the serving time is usually between 7:00 and 8:45 am. The simmons mattresses were all quite similar and comfy to sleep on. There just weren't enough pillows, I really needed two to sleep comfortably. Other than that, everything's good.
