The hotel is modern, has a nice view, has regular shuttle service from Osaka Station, and great staff. Opt for the breakfast and you get filled up every morning with Western or Japanese favorites. The rooms are incredibly quiet and my king bed was huge. The rooms are very clean and the staff attentive. I have been here before and the hotel has actually gotten better. This is my go-to hotel in Osaka. WiFi is fast and I got it free.
Like all ANA Crowne hotels I have visited, this is perhaps the most stylish. A beautiful lobby, an inviting library bar (although smioing is allowed, which is a bit annoying for a Norwegian), and a spacious breakfast area serving a breakfast with all you can want for of european and japanese food. Spacious, clean room, many of them with good views over the city (if you get a room turning towards the river or south side). Nice bathroom with all necessary amenities. The surrounding area is full of nice, small restaurants, and it is only a short stroll across the river to the beautiful museum of contemporary art. However, it comes at a price. This is far from cheap, but also far from the most luxurious hotels.
Sure it’s 4 Star not 5 Star facilitates. But the service is 6 Star. Seriously. We stayed on club level. Definitely worth it. When asking for dinner recommendation, we were even escorted to it. And it was our best meal in Japan. Thank you Ryuichi And your team. You made our stay. We will definitely stay here again.
We stayed overnight after getting off a cruise. The location is close to the train station and we only changed once from Nara Port. We were able to leave our bags and do some sightseeing as our our room wasn’t ready. We paid extra for the club floor which provided drinks and snacks between 6pm and 8pm. Plenty of food but there was only 2 hot dishes which were only warm. Nice wines and a great view. Breakfast was included and was good. The room was small with a double bed which was hard but I suppose that’s the Japanese way. It was quiet and there is a free shuttle to Osaka train station.
Stayed in a Club Room here on the 22nd floor, great views from the Club. The hotel is walking distance to the Osaka main train station making the location good, but far from the main shopping precinct of Osaka (taxi or subway away) which seems to have everything you could ever imagine. Food in the club lounge was good but didn't eat at any of the other restaurants.
Excellent location that allows you to explore the city. The train station is very close and there are several family marts and 7/11’s to go to if you need supplies. Staff are well mannered and are happy to help. Staff were happy to hold our bags before check in and after check out. Staff were very kind to help us with the shuttle bus service which is very convenient!! Hotel has an impressive lobby and multiple dinning options. I stayed on the 21st floor and had a very good view. Only problem was the cups in the room near the mini bar were very dusty. Breakfast was expensive at ¥2800 and staff are very attentive. Although they are easily confused when faced with finding room numbers. Coeliacs can eat breakfast here just get the chef to advise you on your options. They have fruit, sausages, rice, egg, bacon and salad that are safe.
My 2nd time in this hotel, this time for a conference ok check-in in a nice modern grand lobby. If only the room was similar. A little shocked when i entered the room. It was small and old with no shower, just a bathtub. I'm Spire Ambassador , thought that would count for something. The tv has NO international/english channel, which is sad. At least there was live telecast of the winter olympics Gym has no windows so not that motivating Location-wise, lots of small restaurants nearby. And 10min by car from the main osaka station, plus major shopping/eating areas
This hotel is serviced by an efficient and complimentary shuttle bus to Osaka Station, which we took on a daily basis. Made our day trips from Osaka reasonably easy with the JR lines and the shinkansen. Overall, we were happy at the Crowne Plaza but were disappointed by our ‘deluxe room’ which was quite small and could only house a double bed. Best to check your room size against the hotel’s stock images before booking as deluxe meant nothing!
This place was one of the only things that the tour company got right. If you are booked in by an other party and if you are offered an upgrade, grab it. The only thing that I can sort of complain about is that the standard rooms are very small. Apparently built for Japanese.Everything about the check in was spot on. We didn't try any of the restaurants as there are hundred or more within walking distance and the ones we tried were spot on.The breakfast was great and the chef, was so helpful that it made a visit to brekky a great pleasure. On the way out of the breakfast restaurant I noticed one of those mobile beer dispensers and asked the young lady if you could have beer with your meal and she said that would be fine. Not for me at 7.30 AM.
4 nights stay Location: On a quiet and not so busy area and near a river. Very accessible to the train station. Depending on the line that you'll take you may just walk or take their free shuttle service. Service: Check in and check out was smooth and fast. Got a late check out for being an IHG rewards member. Staff are very courteous, warm and are always willing to assist even before we arrived my emails are promptly replied. Room: rooms are standard sizes like other IHG hotels. Bathrooms are spacious with tub. Enjoyed the hot bath on cold nights with their special bath powder. Japanese toilets are amazing with heated toilet seats and other features. Limited English TV channels but it didn't matter much to us anyways. Was not able to try their restaurants maybe next time. Thank you Ana CP Osaka!
