This home is beautiful with a great layout and backyard, but the condition we arrived to was shocking. We checked in late at night and were hit with an overwhelming smell of feces. The downstairs bedroom carpet was covered wall‑to‑wall in poop, with more droppings on the stairs and into other rooms. It looked like someone had half‑attempted to clean it, but it was still extremely visible and very strong‑smelling.Unfortunately, the issues didn’t stop there. Two of the five bedrooms had uncleaned vomit next to the beds, under the nightstands, and on the walls. Several comforters had crusty stains and clearly hadn’t been washed. Basic items were missing (sheet pans, correct coffee filters), and heavy furniture wasn’t secured—dangerous for small children. Even the posted certifications were outdated.I notified the management company immediately, including that the required pool fence wasn’t installed. No concessions were offered at first. When I asked about pool heat, I was told it was over 100/day—something not listed anywhere. After pushing back, they eventually offered it for free “because of all the issues.”They did send someone to clean the carpets after a few days, but we had to vacate the house all day, and the floors stayed damp for one to two more days. All of us developed allergy symptoms during the stay, likely from either the dirty linens or the damp carpet.The lack of cleanliness, safety, and basic management oversight made our stay unpleasant.
