This was our second stay at Fountains at ChampionsGate, first stay was June 2018, and Nicole and Stephanie at the front desk made sure that I would return next year! Upon arrival I was not happy with my unit I was given as the initial smell of it was not appealing and the carpet with the regular wear look was just not getting it for me, then on the next try I wasn’t happy with the appearance of the couches, on the third try it was a beautiful unit 8205 butttt it was a three bedroom and I needed 4 on my 4th try yes I’m picky and yes they did everything in their power to accommodate me and my family I was given my very first unit I had on my first trip 8112. I love the property and everything about it I definitely feel like it is beautiful and with a little touch up paint on some areas where the wall was a bit dirty from people rubbing against it and buffing of the carpets this could easily be a 5 star experience.
This was a family vacation with our son, daughter in law and our 4 year old grandson. Everyday was hectic - of course we knew this before our visit -- but this beat anything that we thought we were prepared for !!! The Fountains resort was only a short distance from the Disney and Universal resorts but it still took us about 30 minutes to drive to any of the resorts. Don't think GRID LOCK is far away !! The Fountains was our escape from the hustle and bustle every day and it is only a short distance from a supermarket and restaurants. The townhouses at the Fountains resort were excellent and the outdoor pool was just what we needed. We were glad that we chose March to visit Orlando as each day, except one, was in the 80s. Quite warm for a Scot !!!! The reception staff were very helpful and directed us to our Townhouse. The resort itself was very tidy and the small lochan on the site had the necessary sign to make us aware that there may be alligators in the water. Luckily nothing showed up during our visit !!
First of all check in girl was too busy on phone to even talk to me for over 5 minutes, check in was supposed to be at 4 and they didn't finish cleaning our unit until 5:30. Was a nice unit and it was nice that it was in a gated community. I believed that my entire bill was paid for when I booked through Delta airlines only to find that they billed me an additional $188.43. I wonder if Delta vacations is aware they are doing this. Don't know if I would use this facility again knowing this.
Stayed many many times at the fountains. I understood people’s reviews regarding carpets etc. They are listening. Checked into lovely house. Clean carpets. Good quality beds. New bedding. Was instantly comfortable. I get what people are saying and was giving it one last go because they really did / do need maintaining so it has / is happening. It really is a good place to stay and the area is excellent. These kind of sites must be so hard to keep on top of but it’s whats expected when you’ve paid a lot of money to come to Florida. You want comfort and cleanliness full stop. No complaints this side. Thanks guys! Enjoyed it as ever xx
Called toll-free number to book. They never disclosed that they don't provide housekeeping. I'm paying 200+ per night to make my bed and live with used towels. Plus there is an undisclosed gratuity 20 per day and cleaning fee of 90 when I leave. This place is dishonest. Stay elsewhere! I won't be back and will spread the word among other baseball parents.
I was shocked to find an undisclosed "Amenities fee" of $21+ per day, coupled with a $43/day "Cleaning fee". The reasonable room suddenly turned in to a rip off. My biggest gripe is this was not disclosed anywhere on Cancelon.com when I booked. Beware of these scam artists!
This is the first time I've done this. I'm reviewing it BEFORE coming, which I will never do. I thought it was a mistake when I saw that the billing amount for one night was $113 higher then the great rate that was advertised. Now I knew there was a $22 resort fee. That I've seen before. That I was expecting. BUT above and beyond the resort fee there was a surprise $113 "Cleaning Fee" added. I thought maybe that was just a warning to not leave their nice rooms a wreck. Nope! It turns out this is a condo pretending to be a hotel and rather then cleaning being part of the normal purchase price of the hotel, this CONDO adds a $100+ cleaning fee to your bill, even if you leave the condo broom clean. That should be far better disclosed. It certainly should be added to any daily rate advertised on hotel sites! Be Warned.
My brother-in-law has stayed at the fountains many times and recommended it to us so we tried it this time and were not disappointed! I have been coming to Florida with my husband for the last 18 years and have stayed in many types of accommodation but the lovely house, facilities and staff at the fountains are by far one of the best places we have stayed. We had a lovely 3 bedroom town house, beautifully decorated, very clean and had all facilities. For me I love being able to do my own laundry and make fresh coffee, which is not an option in hotels! The pool is incredible too, my husband loves to swim and also lay in the pool at the lower end on hot days. While I enjoyed hiding in the shade of the cabanas! It’s by far the nicest pool area we have found! And location is key, it’s with perfect distance too all the theme parks and as Disney annual Passholders this is very important to us! But being so close to the supermarket, restaurants and an ale house is an even bigger bonus! We cannot recommend the fountains enough to anyone visiting it’s perfect for both couples and families! And to prove how much we loved it we will be staying again in December for our pre-Christmas trip!
The Fountains is in a great location, has a fantastic pool area, a lovely clubhouse with small gym for doing cardio workout. The staff here are always very helpful and friendly, they cannot do enough to make you’re vacation as great a possible. The houses are modern and well furnished, and this is now my fifth time here in two years. It’s a home from home, and always sad to leave. Will return next year
