It's a pity that the hotel lost quality in terms of breakfast within the last two years. The Service is still friendly and nice. The use of the sauna is okay and the massages are recommendable. Internet is way to slow. Overall it is getting a bit long in the tooth. Due to the missing alternatives in Chemnitz I assume that they will not invest a fortune to refurbish anything in the future.
This is a comfortable hotel, in a quiet up-market residential street, outside Chemnitz centre. It is a pleasant walk through or past a park to get to the main attractions and shopping, but be aware this is not a city centre hotel. Parking is underneath the hotel and an additional eleven euro charge, although my impression was that there was plenty of onstreet parking available too, if you want to save the cost. Our standard room was spacious, with comfortable twin beds, good blackout curtains, free mineral water, although disappointingly no tea and coffee making facilities. Wifi was woeful. The Pentahotel chain boasts about its free wifi, but it's really useless, even for basic stuff like checking emails and social media. This is a real downside in this day and age. Bathroom was spacious too and had a good shower and decent products. We didn't take breakfast or dinner in the hotel, nor used the gym or spa facilities. Staff was pleasant throughout. This place lacked the style, charm and buzz of the Leipzig Pentahotel that we stayed in previously. It was fine, but nothing special.
All in all the hotel and the room are very nice and clean. The bed was not that good - I guess the mattres was old and worn out and the pillows were to soft. Also the wifi was really slow and even not working sometimes.
Good hotel with nice amenities and friendly staff. Used the meeting room facilities and they were good as well. Meals in restaurant were nice but a bit strange that the coffee was chargeable for lunch when it was free downstairs outside our meeting room?
Internet needs to be better.. During this trip I was in several cities in 3 different countries. The worse internet I had on the entire trip. Difficult to connect, staff did not know how to assist with connecting, slow once connected
Staff is excellent and always friendly. They have recently upgraded the lobby, restaurant and lounge décor. I always enjoy staying at this Penta location because of the staff and feeling of welcome by the staff.
Staff was very nice, biggest issue is that the rooms have not coffee or tea in them and there was none available in the lobby. Rooms were clean but dated and worn. I did see that the dinning room renovations started during my visit and was told that the rooms are also scheduled for remodeling which is needed. Food for breakfast and dinner was excellent in quality and service.
I stayed 2 days there, and there is really nothing to claim. Situated in a quite corner of Chemnitz close to a park. Room was nice and had everything you need. Rich breakfast menu with plenty of choices. Safe parking place.
Good breakfast. Terrible beds. THE pool was closed on THE first day and THE second day THE hot tub was closed. But is a Nice welness. THE check in was Okay and te location also Good . I asked a reduction for THE problems with THE pool but THEy didn t react
Hotel is situated in a quite area, staff very friendly, service excellent, rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, bathroom with equipment clean, sufficient big, everything during our stát was very possitive. Thank you.
