Holiday Inn Laguna Beach

3.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

My Partner and I have stayed at this Holiday Inn over (5) times in the last 2 years and love the location and hotel, however, this last stay was most disappointing and expensive for what experience we have had. This is one of the most convent and beautiful location, especially the interior pool area, very Southern. The problems that we experienced was: Air Conditioner extremely noisy and in poor shape, the towel rod came off the wall when touched and had been repaired numerous times, noisy due to being adjacent to the hotel maintenance/cleaning store room wall / experienced vibration on the head board from the hotel staff banging the same wall, front staff unable to meet request on a spoon, gave me a plastic fork to use, expensive cost for such poor conditions. The whole experience left us exhausted from the noise of the air conditioning and then the hotel staff banging our wall at 7:00 am, i will never come back and it is one of my favorite hotels to get away and get recharged. Thanks.

Right on the Pacific Coast Highway and only 500 steps from being on the beach. The location is perfect without breaking the bank. Rented two rooms for our family of four. The room size was adequate, bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked great. Basic hotel. Front desk staff let us check in a few hours early, which was perfect because we got to Laguna sooner than we had thought. Only complaint was that I wish the pool stayed open longer. Each night, it was locked up at 9pm. However, when you have the beach across the street, there are worse things.

I have stayed at this hotel for years. It has really changed . It used to be quaint with beautiful flowers and shrubbery. The pool area looked terrible. The flowers weren't watered and a rodent scrambled by while I was lounging. There was not restaurant and and it wasn"t swept or hosed. The garbage cans outside the rooms were rusty. The rooms were comfortable but no frills. For six nights I spent over 2000 for nothing. I know Laguna Beach is expensive but this place could care less. I will never stay there again. Also, when I booked I had no idea there was no restaurant.

Convenient location across from the beach. Beds very comfortable and rooms quiet and clean. Adjacent parking lot.

I didn't like the fact of paying 15.00 dollars for parking other than that I had a nice experience.

This hotel is located steps away from the beach and there is a supermarket (stater bros right next to it). It's great for the price and a last minute stay.

Loved the location and the place.. very quaint, clean, friendly staff. Close to everything such us shopping, restaurants and beach.. Our stay was short but would love to come back for a longer stay... Highly recommend this hotel.

Across from beach access, grocery store next door, short walk to restaurants. Rooms comfortable and clean, free refreshments in lobby, free wifi, friendly helpful front desk staff. Rooms are smallish, which is to be expected of these slightly older properties, AC units a little loud, but that's about it.

Nice location. Loud air conditioning unit.staff was disingenuous.

Well-located (on shuttle line) hotel for attending Pageant of the Masters. Appreciate the free popcorn, soda and water upon arrival. Note $15/day parking; rooms can be stuffy, even with air conditioning. Staff is very, very nice.

A great place to experience how it would be to live in the elegant seaside town of Laguna Beach. Near everything.

The room we have is for handicap, after shower all the floor is wet, the room is so small and the air conditioner is too noisy and old.

So close to the beach and the fabulous Orange Inn, couldn't ask for a better location/hotel/staff/etc.

The staff is excellent. The rooms could use a re-do.

I will go back to this hotel again I well recommend to our friend and family

It was amazing, great location and very clean and the hotel was beautiful!

I rented three rooms for my family for a week. The pool was clean and the deck chairs very comfortable and stylish. The access to the beach on Cleo Street very convenient. The Mare Restaurant was a bonus since its next to that pool, is brand new and is contemporary in design. The Mare soup is outstanding...completely homemade like your grandmother makes. This is a very good three star hotel.

Great stay with a great staff. What a value in Laguna! The new restaurant was also very nice. Access to the beach is right across the street! I will be staying there again!

Pictures are deceiving, room very very small. Hotel is small, no activities whatsoever, restaurant was closed for saturday breakfast; no room service not what expected from a Holiday Inn.

Beautiful courtyard filled w/ plants and flowers. Immaculatley kept, friendly and helpful staff, most comfortable beds ever! Perfect location, you can walk to all resturaunts and shops. I was so impressed by the whole experience, we will be back next year!
