I have never been to Olympia before, this hotel was closest to my destination. I have never had an issue with Quality Inn until this one. The hotel wall paper is peeling off the walls, I had used sunflower seed shells behind my bed and in the frame, the tub was well worn which detoured me from taking a relaxing bath after my 6 hour drive here. The carpets are nasty. When Checking in 3 WSP officers came in and a K9 unit headed to a room on the bottom floor. 😧 I am traveling alone and that tipped the scale of being UNCOMFORTABLE. Parking is limited close to the hotel entrance, The back parking lot is very dark, no security on the door that doesn’t close all the way. I slept with the lights on.. I will NEVER stay here again..
This hotel is next door to a Denny’s restaurant. Room was clean and comfortable. The down side is that our room was service only once in our three night stay. Had to ask manager for towels. The I-5 access is less than a minute away. Beware that acceding this hotel from college street ( the only inbound access) can be dangerous.
I booked this hotel because it was convenient to SeaTac airport and the location was good for the start of our vacation. This is a older hotel but in decent condition and was clean. It was a great base for visiting the Capitol and the Olympia area. Staff was friendly.
Stayed for five nights in a first floor room in back. Quiet, clean, well maintained room with king bed, couch, coffee table, desk, small fridge and microwave. There's a breakfast offered that I didn't try because of a diet, but it looked good. Coffee was ok; aficionados may want to go to one of the nearby stands (Dominic's, Island Coffee), though. No pay-per-view options on the TV, just cable channels. Typical flat screen with HDMI port. This hotel is a great choice if you're looking for basic accommodation at a reasonable price. Nothing fancy, but nothing to complain about either!
Our room was comfortable, clean and great for a night or two. Decent breakfast and friendly helpful staff at the front desk. We think great value and we travel the world!! We were visiting Family in Olympia, a town that we have begun to love!
We stopped here overnight before our journey up to the Olympic National Park the next morning. Easy to find off I-5 and in a very nice area of the city. Room was good size and clean. Breakfast was good and the staff were all very nice.
We were on our way to the Olympic National park after watching the eclipse in Madras and stopped here for the night. The room was large with comfortable. We had a sofa, workstation and comfy bedding. Nice view. It was much better than we expected fro the price. Clean and friendly staff. Simple continental breakfast was nice addition. We will stay here when ever we are in the area.
What a pleasant surprise. A great price and location. The bed and linens were all comfortable and clean. On a budget, this is a great place. Some quirks , but for the class of hotel, it was great (above average).
Wife and I made reservations a month in advance due to business I had in Olympia. We explained that our flight was arriving at 9 a.m., and was told we could most definitely get an early check in, no problem. We booked a room that was supposed to have a sliding glass door, microwave, refrigerator, etc. Upon arrival, we were told that to check in early we would have to pay 80 dollars for an early check in fee! On top of this, the room we had booked was unavailable we were told, and we ended up so far away from the WIFI that we never could get a signal. The room was so outdated, carpets worn and dirty, drapes that didn't pull open due to being broken and just a general feel of shabbiness. There were rat traps all over the property, but thank the stars we didn't actually see any. The soda machine took my money as did the other snack machine, and the front desk said to call the number on the side. At night, homeless people wandered the parking lot, there were discarded needles outside our window, and when i called the desk to say there were people shooting up right outside our window, the response was 'that seems to happen a lot'. Breakfast was ok, but we wouldn't touch anything that wasn't wrapped. After we checked out 6 days later, a charge appeared on my card for 225 dollars! I called them when we got back to Fargo, N.D. and demanded to know what the charge was for. After some hemming and hawing, we were told the charge was a mistake and it was being refunded. What if I hadn't noticed? How many other unsuspecting travelers are hit with bogus charges and don't notice? We will never stay here again.
Hubby and I were traveling and decided to spend night close of the highway, this Quality Inn was in a great location for us. The room was clean and the bed comfy. The staff were polite and helpful. They recommended a local restaurant Fish Tales which was delicious. They offer the free breakfast and the price was reasonable.
