Pillows were old and flat and the linens looked used
Beds were nasty and bugs were crawling and the beds were so hard and no microwave u cud smell paint everywhere
The room could have been cleaner, sheets too small for the bed, frig need cleaning, lavatory hardly drained, no tv for 1 night, lobby microwave was VERY FILTHY, the outlets for power have been used so much that nothing stays in them and I have a special sleep machine that I had to tape to the outlet so it would stay in. For the price and convience to the customer, I feel microwaves should be provided in the rooms like other motels.
The floors could have been vacuumed a bit better and one of the towels was threadbare. Other than that, what I expected for the price.
We stayed here because we have friends in Olive Branch and we were going to be in town for more than a few days. The roome SEEMED clean however now both my husband and myself are covered in spider bites, at least we hope that is what they are. And when I say COVERED I mean COVERED. Thankfully we have not found any on our 2 year old son. Next year we will spend the money to stay IN Memphis at a nicer hotel.
I don't know if it's always that easy [...]but check-in was quick and easy (check-out was even better-there was NOTHING to do!). My husband, our 9 month old, and myself stayed for 5 nights and felt very comfortable the entire time. We had a handicap room (all that was available at the time of purchase) that worked perfectly for having a young one (her pack-n-play and all of our suitcases fit and we still had so much extra room to move around!). The "college" sized refrigerator was a blessing too! The staff was so friendly and helpful, it was like being around friends. The breakfast wasn't much, but it was enough to get our day started. The only real complaints we had were the poor remodeling job done in the bathroom (tile was uneven and light covering seemed to be broken), and the fact that the non-smoking and smoking rooms were all on one floor. The halls reaked of smoke, but our room did not. All in all, it was a great stay and a great price.
I wasn't looking for anything more than a clean, quiet place to sleep, and that's what I got. The rooms weren't spotless, but I had no problems with them, either. I was on the ground floor and until about 9pm there were kids running around in the room above me (as in "sounded like a herd of elephants"), but that quieted down around bedtime. Breakfast wasn't very impressive - some bagels, a few mass-produced pastries, two choices of cereal, and beverages - but it did the job. Hotel staff was courteous and prompt, and there were several restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance, as well as pizza delivery to the hotel. Cable TV had plenty of channels to watch, and the wireless internet speed was great.
