We used priceline.com to make a reservation elsewhere which they failed and sent a wrong reservation. After they would not make anything right I had to find another place to stay for the same evening while we were on the road traveling. This hotel had the room configuration we needed for our family and the price was very fair. Upon arrival we were nicely greeted and quickly got our room keys. The front desk attendant talked to us, let us know all the times and information for pool, breakfast, etc. During our 2 night stay anytime we came and went the front desk would say hi, smile, talk to us and were genuinely nice. We brought a playstation4 with us and had issues connecting to the wifi. My husband called late one night and the front desk didn't know the answer but he was willing to find out and called us back. He made it clear it was no problem at all to help. We were were in town to take part in an ongoing event at the capitol so we were hoping for a late check out. They were able to accommodate the late check out. We ran into the hotel later than we had wanted and I told them we would be out of the room ASAP. They still smiled, said no problem, laughed and one even made a joke we were always running because he saw us coming and going so much the previous day. It was nice he remembered, smiled about it, laughed and made it clear it was all ok. The exterior, lobby, breakfast area, pool, etc all seem as though they have been remodeled or updated. The rooms are a little dated, but have received some updates. The carpet, couch and chairs in the livingroom needed replaced as they have seen a lot of love. The bedrooms have been updated and had nice beds, furniture and bedding. The bathrooms were very nice as well. The kitchen area had pots, pans, bowls, etc. Nice courtyard area with basketball, walking path, landscaping, grilling and firepit. This hotel is along a river front that has a nice walking/bike trail. It is far enough from the airport that sound isn't any issue but close enough that many food options, outlet mall, strip mall and grocery are within a few minutes or even walking distance. Really from having a bad experience to start out and being upset at arriving in town with no hotel, lucking out to find this then the wonderful surprise at the high level of customer service and overall making you feel welcome. That made the trip so much better instantly.
I booked this hotel last minute thru Hotwire. It had a +90% user approval rating. Don't think that I would go that far. From the outside the hotel looks new and update, however it is your typical 2 star extended stay property. Checkin was fast and easy. Taking the elevator to my room was not a pleasant experience as it smelled like stale beer and had a yellowed towel in the corner indicating that that was probably the case. Got to the room and found someone's left over Wendy's bag with leftover food still in it. I was just here for the night as I was attempting to get out of town ahead of bad weather. Would more than likely not stay here again and certainly wouldn't book it thru the Staybridge website.
We stayed here based on its location. Close to the airport and access to highways. Typical Suite hotel with a few amenities that you never use because you are there for a night or two at most Room was clean and quiet for the most part except for the 5 AM unexpected wake-up call - ie Truck facility across the street obviously starts loading at that time. NOTE Get room on backside of the hotel to avoid the 5AM wake-up call. Didn't eat there so no idea what the food was like. Room was nice size with a tiny kitchen that appeared to be equipped well enough for a quick bite. For a airport hotel with larger more comfortable suites it is a good choice.
I stayed here overnight to catch a flight in the morning. The hotel is nice and clean. I had a suite with separate bed room, living room and kitchen. The bathroom design is small for a suite however. The living room has sofa, coffee table, work desk, and TV. The bedroom has king size bed with its own TV and chaise. The kitchen has a small table along with counter space and chairs. Pots, pans, cups, dishes are furnished along with dish soap, paper towel. There is free Wi-Fi at the hotel. Breakfast has many hot and cold items along with juices, milk, fruits, and pastries to start the day. It is located in the hotel zone near the airport with several hotels nearby. The free airport shuttle also serves the Holiday Inn next door. It is best to reserve the airport shuttle with the front desk the night before if you need to leave early in the morning. It is a good place to stay near the airport.
I love my Spire Elite status. I selected this hotel because it had free breakfast and offered a late check-out. I don't know if I booked it or had a free upgrade, but we ended up with a two-bedroom handicap-accessible suite. We didn't need three beds, but I loved having two bathrooms and extra towels and pillows! The bed and bedding were comfortable. I didn't hear the a/c cycle. The bathroom had separate switches for the lights and fan. The kitchen was more than we needed, except we didn't know what to do with recyclables. The grounds were lovely with a basketball court, gas grills, and walking paths. The swimming pool had really warm water which I personally liked. However, the towels were small - about the size of hand or kitchen towels. I needed three to dry off: one to sit on, one for my upper torso, and one for my legs and feet. I should've brought one of my extra bath towels from the room. The pool area also did not have a clock, which I find annoying. Also, the bathroom needed servicing. I did like the non-skid flooring. Now I'd like to address two items I found deficient for a handicap-accessible suite. First of all, neither bathroom had a shower stall. If I were traveling with my mom, she would not have been able to shower as she would not have been able to get in and out of a tub. Also, the plate placed on top of the pocket-door lock was such that it was easy to lock yourself in the bathroom. (So take a good look at it before you close the door.) I was awakened by our upstairs neighbor walking around in the wee hours of the morning and by our next-door neighbor snoring. The worst thing was that we were awakened by a false fire alarm at 6:00 am! When I asked later what the cause was, they didn't know! That was a big negative in my book. As for the unit, there were issues with both toilets. One ran continuously. If I kept the bathroom door closed I couldn't hear it, but what a waste of water. The lid on the other one didn't stay open. How in the world did Housekeeping clean a toilet whose lid didn't stay up? I submitted a maintenance request for both toilets before I left. Also, the couch cushions had a few nasty stains but we had enough towels to cover them. As for the breakfast area, the offerings were more than sufficient; however, the door to the kitchen when opened blocked access to the bread and when closed, you could get hit when the attendant came out of the kitchen. The desk personnel were all friendly and the hotel was clean. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
This hotel has such great potential but the front staff has been deceptive more than once. First of all, if you are not a dedicated IHG rewards member this is a great place. But if you happen to be an IHG rewards member, do not expect the same level of treatment you get at ANY other hotel in the IHG group. I have stayed at many of the IHG hotels and I have never had an issue that I keep having at this Staybridge. On 3 different occasions I have caught a front desk attendant in a lie about early checkout or upgrade availability. Its really sad and blantant. I wish ethics and honest business practices were more of a priority for this hotel.
I stayed here for a week in June. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. There is abundant hot coffee all day and a complimentary breakfast that is very good. The rooms are a good size and very clean. The hotel staff is responsive to requests. The workout facility is great and there is laundry if needed. A nice view of the river from the hotel rooms as well.
I stayed for just one night. I love the large tv that swivels so you can watch from the bed or sofa. The kitchenette was very handy and the decor was pretty nice as well. Throughout the week they have guest activities and a guest Happy Hour with complimentary dinner Mon-Wed which is super awesome and thoughtful! Also pet friendly and has a basketball court in the back...definitely a good place for business or family!
We stayed one night in a two bedroom ADA Suite. Lovely spacious bedrooms. One large king, the other two queens. Each had it's own bath. Grab bars on tubs and walls. No walk in shower. Bedrooms nicely appointed. Very nice kitchenette. Ice maker in refrigerator. Breakfast provided. Peculiarities were related to doors. Very odd and awkward bathroom door handles/locks. We decided to leave them open instead of risk getting locked in bathrooms. The bedroom doors were two halves with handles on inside only. Could push closed from inside but not close completely from living room. The Suite was pet friendly and we wanted to contain the pet while we went out to dinner. But we couldn't figure out how to close the bedroom door from the living room with the pet in the bedroom. We were afraid to put the pet in bathroom because of odd locks/handles, so ended up putting pet back in travel crate till we returned. Not very satisfactory. We spoke to the front desk about the problem and he agreed the doors were odd but didn't have any suggestions. Despite the brief problem above, we had a comfortable night with great beds and nicely appointed bathrooms. Three flat screen televisions and a small living room. No airport noise at all, although we saw planes overhead when we were outside. Pleasant front desk staff. Calendar in kitchen of weekday happy hour treats- looked tasty, although we visited on a weekend and didn't get to try them out. Overall, a comfortable hotel, reasonably priced. Nice ambience in lobby. We would come again.
LOCATION: There is a shuttle the will pick you up from the Airport, its about a 12 min drive. The drive was pleasant. Front Desk: Just a normal entrance. However the service by MARLIN was fantastic, Not only does he anticipate your question, He has the answer and additional info with a smile! I was pleasantly surprised. Rooms: That was a surprise as well I was on the fourth floor and my room was excellent fully stocked and had all the mod cons! I arrived late and was in a hurry to eat and get some sleep. I was told there lots to choose from across the street and all within walking distance of the hotel. I snagged a chilis across the street. I enjoyed my stay , I shall be back!
