Amazing Oasis

The unit was GREAT, very secluded yet close to downtown Ocean Springs. If we ever go back, we will use this unit again!! Great owners, very easy to contact and willing to do whatever it took to make our stay great.

Fabulous place

This cottage and location were prefect. Communication and hospitality of the hosts was above and beyond. Quiet. Clean. Lovely view. Close to all the great places in Ocean Springs yet you feel like you’ve discovered a hidden gem. Will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful cottage!!!

I can't imagine there being a better place to stay in Ocean Springs. The cottage is adorable, well appointed, close to the water, set in the woods among oak trees that are hundreds of years old. The property has been in the owners' family for 100 years. The owners live next door, and are the perfect hosts: always available if you need them, helpful and informative, but not at all intrusive. Friendly as can be - you'll want to stay connected with them after you leave. I'll never stay anywhere else if I have reason to go to Ocean Springs again.

Artist's Gulf retreat

The property is immaculate - clean, well-stocked, prime location. The artwork by local artists including Walter Anderson is a delightful extra. Much of the furniture is original and hand made. The location on Biloxi Bay near the Gulf made it like a homecoming for us former Tampa residents. Bird watching is excellent. Kudos to Donald and his team for keeping up such an endearing short term rental. We will be back. Thank you!

Romantic Weekend Arts Expedition

Beautiful private cottage nestled amongst the ancient oaks on the north shore of the Biloxi Bay. Gorgeous views and a private dock to enjoy sunrise and sunset. Gracious hosts and tasteful decor featuring celebrated local artists. We look forward to our next visit!

Ocean Springs Cottage

This was the cutest most comfortable cottage we have ever rented. It is equipped with everything needed for an enjoyable stay and the grounds were so tranquil and serene that you can’t help but feel calm and relaxed. It’s only a short walk to the pier on the bay where we saw porpoises on our first day and beautiful sunsets. While sipping our coffee on the porch we saw squirrels, cardinals, bluejays, a woodpecker and oddly enough a box turtle. It’s only a short drive to East Beach or downtown Ocean Springs. The bed was super comfy and everything was in working order. Can’t wait for a return visit.

Beautiful Cottage for Quiet Getaway

This cottage was perfect for a relaxing time in Ocean Springs. It was beautifully appointed with local art, custom woodwork and charming hosts. They thought of everything you might need while staying here, including the delicious muffins that were provided on the first day. It was close to museums, shopping and restaurants. The view was wonderful and we enjoyed the pier. We will definitely stay again when visiting Ocean Springs!

Absolutely Perfect Experience!!

Our "Historic Biloxi Bay Cottage" could not have been more perfect! The property was lovely. Several times during our stay, we enjoyed relaxing on the private pier. The cottage is immaculate. Donald and Leigh Ann are attentive to every detail. The kitchen is well-stocked, the living area is so wonderful, bedroom is extremely comfortable. Be sure to read Donald's notes about the furnishings and art within the cottage. We loved Ocean Springs, and we loved Historic Biloxi Bay Cottage w/ Beautiful View! We couldn't be more pleased!

This was by far the best experience we've ever had booking through VRBO. The property exceeds any pictures or descriptions listed, and the owner is the standard for which all rental owners should aspire to be. Could not recommend this place enough!

Wonderful Retreat

Shearwater Cottage was the perfect stay for our 3 day get away. The property was beautiful and secluded. Donald and Leigh Ann furnished the cottage with all necessities for our stay. We will definitely stay at Shearwater Cottage again.

Lovely cottage with gorgeous views

The cottage is lovely, set amidst oak trees with a beautiful water view. Homebaked muffins, along with other goodies, greated us upon arrival. We sat on the pier and watched the sunset. Owners were friendly and informative as to options around town. This will be our go to rental for our future stays.

Cozy Cottage with awesome views.

We went for a weekend getaway and the cottage was perfect. The view of the water was so peaceful. The host made sure we had everything we needed. The muffins and snacks were perfect. We will be back.

What a perfectly situated and quaint property this was. It felt like home. To wake up every morning with the view of the water and just the property itself was well worth it. It’s very close to government Street but yet far enough a way to have some isolation from the traffic. I would highly recommend this property.

Bayside Cottage

My wife and I had a lovely four-day stay at the Shearwood Cottage overlooking Biloxi Bay in Ocean Springs. This cottage was cozy, comfortable, quiet, and very clean. We were impressed by the attention to detail that went into the construction and maintenance of this cottage, like small stained glass windows in walls and original paintings and other art work. The owners were easy to work with and even stopped by upon our arrival to see if we had any questions. We will definitely try to return the next time we visit Ocean Springs.

Absolutely Delightful

We’ve stayed in many, many VRBOs, both domestic and international, and this adorable, quiet, little cottage ranks at the top! It’s set in a beautiful location and it’s even better in person than the pictures. Every little detail was thought of and provided. Homemade muffins, fire pit ready for a match, coffee, interesting books, and all the kitchen conveniences needed for a wonderful stay! The patio and front porch were favorite spots for us, as well as the comfy living room area. Don and Leigh Ann were very helpful with restaurant suggestions and hospitable in every way! We will definitely be back!
