Good: Excellent location Great staff Beautiful place Oxxo store right there Bad: Shower had a leak. King size beds are like wooden planks. Some of the adornments are old garbage.

bugs and small cockroaches came out in my room, everything else very well. In my sister's room there was no hot water and the room was dusty, I heard other guests complain about the same.

The staff were very helpful, really hard workers. Sheets and towels changed every day. The location is perfect. It was quiet at night. Mini-split air conditioner was most quiet I have experienced.

Beautiful home base and centrally located. Staff was kind and helpful from check in to check out. Definitely would stay here again. Family friendly but nice enough for a couple if you don't mind kids playing in the pool area.

We loved our stay here. It is a beautiful building, friendly and helpful staff, very clean, nice refreshing pool and a great location. The only negative is that the WiFi did not work in our room which was tucked in the back on the ground floor. I wish we would have had a room on an upper floor

Because this was an old convent the rooms were very small (ours measured 9'x11'). The bed was not the queen size we expected, but instead a full size bed. All of the rooms surround a central courtyard that the hotel rents out to locals for large family events that last for 6 hours and are loud. If you want to rest in the hot afternoon better bring ear plugs. We had to evacuate the hotel one afternoon while the exterminators went in and sprayed.

Very friendly staff! We also loved the heated pool in the courtyard. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location. Charming hotel. Very helpful staff

Nice hotel close to a lot of bars, restaurants, mezcal tastings. Not too far a walk is a large market place for shopping for souvenirs. Don’t miss the “meat alley” nearby. Only negative I would say is that the walls are pretty thin. Can hear the neighbors pretty easily. And when the staff start to clean the walkways in the morning, it’s loud because the sound carries. Hard to sleep in too late. But the room had nice wood shutters which made the room dark no matter what the time of day. Wish they had a hot tub. Staff nice and friendly. Don’t speak that much English though. Would stay there again.

Our stay is always great! They were able to organize taxi pick ups and drop offs which was amazing. The taxi picked us up an hour away. They even stored my cheese that I bought to bring home in their fridge. This hotel is always my choice when I stay in Oaxaca city.

Although the room was rather small it was always extremely clean and well outfitted. Reality for me is that I only sleep and shower in the room so didn’t really need anything larger. Also, the veranda outside each room is a beautiful gathering area where we would sit and visit with others. The price was a bargain. Hotel is close to everything and the staff were great!

We loved our stay in this hotel. Very nice hotel, great on site restaurant, great location.

It is close to all downtown main attractions, restaurants and bars. The hotel's restaurant is great and convenient for breakfast. The best rooms are in the main building.

This is our 1st time staying here. Everything you are expecting from a hotel you'll find it here, neatness, friendly staff, great location. 1 block away from the Zocalo n from the touristic corridor. Definitely we'll stay here again.

Nice Hotel, good location, poor service, and the room 508 very noisy.

We loved that the hotel was within walking distance to many places. The staff was very helpful and attentive. The hotel and our room were so clean and inviting the minute we entered. It was nice having a place to eat close by when we didn't feel like venturing out right away. The hotel offered several areas that were nice to just relax in wether it be in the patio area, pool side or just outside your room. We would highly suggest staying here if you are coming to Oaxaca and want to be located to the city center. Warning: Be prepared to say "No Gracias" often when out and about. Many vendors coming up to you wanting to sell their wares. Try not to make eye contact if you are not interested. Also, don't sit at tables at the edge of cafes or restaurants because vendors will come by there too.

The hotel's location is prime: in the middle of the Historic District and two blocks from the Zocolo (plaza). The staff were all pleasant and a few actually friendly. The room and facility in general were spotlessly clean. Lack of staff training is probably the biggest failing. They all have willing attitudes, they just haven't been well instructed. You may or may not be served in the courtyard. Room amenities (soap, clean glasses, tissues) are hit and miss. Policy concerning things like complimentary breakfast and transportation change depending on who you talk to. I was unable to get a receipt at check-out because I booked through a reservation service. Food quality is at best mediocre and the restaurant is empty at lunch and dinner. Over all the hotel is adequate, reasonably priced and conveniently located. Just lower your expectations a little.

My 12 year old and I stayed here for 3 nights over the Easter holidays. The hotel was filled with Mexican families vactioning over the holiday weekend which made the experience even better. The pool was a huge bonus. Our room had windows, air conditioning and it was very clean. All of the attractions were really close by. We truly enjoyed our stay.

An overall great hotel. In the middle of it all and just a few blocks from everything. The front desk was very helpful and provided us with helpful information as far as tours, etc. A very pretty hotel with scenic views Spacious and exposed to the outside. (No narrow enclosed hallways) Restaurant was decent. My only Complaint were the mattresses. They were extremely hard for my taste.

Need to focus more on keeping the place a bit cleaner. The restaurant's food is not good at all. The great thing is that the location is excellent.

Mr Jorge: First of all, thanks for the opportunity to attend you. And per your comments, We are checking about the leaking of the shower to fix it, the problem with the hardnes of the matress, we have an special undercover to make the matress softer, because most of our guests like the bed as it is and for your comment of the dornments, we are very sorry that you did not appreciate the antiques, because most of the things we have around the patios and inside the hotel are pretty valuable antiques and not old garbage as you said so. Again, thanks for the opportunity to attend you. Sincerely yours, Hotel CasAntica

About your comments, we fumigate every month the whole hotel but as you had already see it is rainy season so there are some little bugs that time to time escape from the storm drain, but We will fumigate again. About your other comment, as the Hotel is very large it takes time for the hot water to get to some rooms. Thanks again for let us attend you Sincerely yours, Hotel CasAntica

Dear Sirs: First of all, thanks for the opportunity to attend You as You deserve, and about your different comments, let me just say somethings about it, the beds We have in the hotel are just Double or King size, We do not have Queen beds and it says exactly so in the expedia portal; in relations to the courtyard, We do rent it for events, but during the day and the last hour is 9:00 PM, so You can sleep as it should do in a Ex Convent as the one We have and, finally, as Oaxaca is a City in a tropical weather, there are several things that We have to do the fumigation in order to avoid the insects, so, unfortunately, it is am annoyance for our guests, but it has to be done in order to attend You as You deserve. Sincerely,
