I never have been like that redeculus hotel Its too old hotel

Doesn't have parking and there is no shower and toilete in the room.

Not good I had to ask for another room because there was a lot of things broken and there was no room available to change not happy at all

This place is disgusting one of the worst places I have stayed! The wall, carpets and furniture were stained. Half of the window blinds in my room were missing. The beds are old and the elavator has not worked in a long time. Also all the smoke detectors were taken down. Even for free I would not stay here again.

When I arrived to the Sutter hotel, the person working the front desk mentioned that the room I had booked (#703) was unmade. When I arrived to the room I saw empty beer cans and a bed that had dirty sheets. The room had it's own private bathroom, and the furniture in the room looked decent. I ended up calling up Orbitz to get a refund on the room, and the person at the front desk was helpful in talking to the customer service representative. Apparently room 703 is used by staff and usually not bookable. As others have mentioned, the elevator does not work.

We picked this hotel because it says it has a elevator, and one of us goes on a wheelchair, the person on the front desk only said that it doesn’t work and can’t do nothing about it. Just canceled the reservation and told us to look for a new hotel, it was 11:30 pm. We now requiere the refund of the night we paid in advance

Good budget hotel. Nice staff Convenient to transportation.

2.6 is ridiculous. the sheets were stained, the floor was dirty, the water was cold, there was no internet and no television, the room was noisy, and the place was beyond dilapidated.

This is now my second review of this hotel starting with the one from my check-in. This is the scariest and worst hotel ever. There is no reason that this hotel should be listed on this website, or any website for that matter. I have never felt less safe than I did in the night I stayed at this hotel. I literally didn't sleep a wink because I feared that someone was going to come into my room. This should be removed permanently from your website - awful, terrible, horrible, scary, dangerous. I was forbidden by a local security guard from walking back to the hotel which was 2 blocks away from where I was because he said that it was dangerous once I got over there and told me to take an Uber which I did.

I recently stayed at this hotel for a last minute business trip. I flew into Oakland on 10/05/17. Check in was easy enough and I was able to check in early. The hotel is very old and it needs major renovations. I just needed a place to sleep and leave my things as I was not going to be in the room for most the day. I left my room around 11:30am and left straight to work. When I returned, it was 10:30pm. As I walked into my room from a long day at the office, I find my belongings scattered all over my bed! I immediately call the front desk to report that someone went through my suitcase (luckily nothing was missing). As I am waiting for someone to answer I tried turning on the shower but it did not work. After 10-15 minutes someone finally picks up (Jose), and I explain what had happened. He let me know that housekeeping didn't actually work that day (or at least they didn't clean my room after I had left). He did ask If anything was missing and if I wanted to make a police report but he didn't seem surprised. All he said was he would leave a note for his manager in the morning. I grabbed my things and stayed else where. In the morning, I came back to the hotel to check out and speak with the manager (Joles or Jules) and to my surprise he didn't know about the incident. I asked for a full refund but he said he had to investigate. Even after I explained everything again. Save your money and stay somewhere else. Avoid this hotel. This is unacceptable I demand a full refund.

The windows stuck,. The blinds broke, there was hardly any TP when we got to our room, and even though I paid for a queen size bed, they did not refund me any money when it was only a full bed.

This place was so bad and nasty the rooms sink there was no ac and this area was horrible

I came to California for a business trip and didn't book in enough time for a decent hotel and ended up staying here for the first time. This is horrible and not recommended.

I checked into the room digested the fact that I didn't want to room, went to the store next door and called my ride. When my ride arrived I asked for a refund as I was not happy with the room and it didn't have a private bath, the guest services rep told me that they didn't give refunds no matter what.

For the price, it's what you expect. Very old building with paint dust all around the edges and corners of the rooms. The walls have a lot of mileage on them. They look dirty, especially by the bed. Discolouration caused by who knows what happened there. There were missing/broken blinds. The biggest issue I had with the room was the Windows. Yes I know it's old but would have been a lot better stay if they actually closed and kept road noise out so I wouldn't be woken up every time someone drives by with loud music, car horns, garbage truck...etc. Also, the Windows had no locks on them. At least ones that worked. They had straight up nails above the window to limit how far you can pull them up. If unlucky a real determined criminal could climb up the ledge with the railings, pull up the windows and poach your items easily if he wanted. Anyways that's that. Just expect you get what you pay for. However, I did pay almost twice the going rate because we booked late but it was still cheaper than anywhere else. If you can spend a little extra and get a nicer place, do it. I was just looking for a place that I could sleep comfortably at night. I wasn't able to do this here as I thought I would.

The room was disgusting. Bed was undone with a used towel on it as if someone had slept there. The window next to the bed was open and unsafe. Anyone that had access to the roof next door could climb into the room. I immediately checked out after seeing the room. The front desk was nice enough to give me a total refund.

Get a room with a bathroom. Seriously place is like a hostile in the Europe.

Nice stay. Parking is either street parking with hours or finding a daily parking facility nearby. The staff were on top of their games. There's no elevator between 10pm and 7am. That's the only con.

We were greeted by being told that our room was not ready because the cleaning staff hadn't showed up (We had booked a week before.) and then asked to pay $25 more for a room that had its own bathroom vs. our shared bathroom booking. We refused to pay the difference, and were gruffly treated afterwards. Then we were made to sign a bed bug waiver (and I've been itching ever since!!!!). The staff didn't know where we could park our car for free in the area or where our car would not be towed/ticketed for the next morning (we had tickets on our car even after moving our vehicle to a "safe" place-- could have paid for a way nicer hotel with the difference). Checked neighborhoodscout.com after we checked in (and paid a refundable $20 room key deposit) and climbed six flights of stairs because the elevator operator hadn't shown up for work that night, and saw that we were in the middle of one of the worst crime rate areas in town. Then we heard screaming and yelling and lots of sirens and peeling out cars. The shower didn't work and the water was barely hot. The tub didn't plug so we shoved a plastic bag into the drain so we could take a lukewarm bath. I would never go back here ever.
