There were chronic problems with the electronic locks for the parking lot and sidewalk gates that got so bad staff eventually gave up and started leaving them open

Convenient and clean. Very friendly staff. Nothing fancy but an affordable option with free parking! Facilities are older but it was half the price of nearby 4 star hotels (you get what you pay for). I would stay here again!

It was fine. I have only one complaint. Someone left the alarm set and it went off at 12 pm. The sound was unlike anything I've ever heard. It was a howling noise and very loud. It scared the crap out of me. Could I have been pranked. If so it wasn't funny.

The hotel is a clean budget level hotel. What makes it a great stay is the hotel staff. Victoria is welcoming and helpful. She made my stay a 5.

1. When I first pull to the parking, I was like, what kind of place is this. Somebody was fixing their car in the parking lot. I didn’t want to park at the back, somebody might break my car window. I parked on the side where next to my parking was a shattered glass, SO WE ALREADY KNOW, somebody just broke a car window. 2. I wouldn’t advise any family who has kids to even check in here. The people that checked in here looks ghetto... not being mean but they do. 3. For the price of $130, this place is overprice of what you are getting 4. The elevator is dirty. 5.The bed, I hope those wear clean linen, the room was clean, not so sure about those linen though. 6. If you will ask me if I recommend this place, I WILL NOT... you don’t wanna wake up seeing your car getting break in. 7. If I only knew, I could have pay another $30-40 bucks and check in at Marriot instead. 8. Check in your family to other safe hotel. I don’t recommend this!

Do not stay here, my car was broken into and vandalized when I seemed helped from the hotel staff and security. I was told I can’t be assisted and it’s a common thing in Oakland. Wow what a slap in the face after already losing my belongs

The Hotel needs more security and Cleaning of the rooms Daily You shouldn't have to clean your Room no matter your length of stay

I have asthma and even though I got a non-smoking room I felt like I was in a smoking room. I am not exaggerating. The entire hotel smells like smoke. Not to mention one of the bed side lights began to smolder from over heating and added to the tobacco smoke in the room. I'd say bite the bullet and stay at a more expensive hotel near by. This place is so NOT worth your hard earned money. For a little more a night you can be at a much cleaner, healthier place.

This room was promoted as a non-smoking room but it sure smelled like a smoking room

We were very disappointed with the shabby condition of this hotel. We will not be staying with this chain again. Stick to Marriott, Comfort, Hampton, and Hilton hotel chains.

stay was good. no major problems encountered. staff was courteous and responded to our requests.

The only nice thing that I can is the location was good

I paid 2 weeks in advance for my king room and when I arrived I was told there were no more available so I'd have to settle for a room with 2 double beds. I expressed my dissatisfaction and they were able to then find a king room for me- the room I had originally booked. The room itself was unclean, sticky spots on all of the tables from cups and other spilled foods, and a shower curtain rod that was about to fall out of the wall. A musty smell was also present in the room, while the hallways had a stale cigarette smell due to the smoking rooms that this hotel allows. Nothing about my stay was inspiring or inviting, and I will not be returning.

Could not wait to get home. Stale and sour smell of the bedding and shower curtain were very uncomfortable and nauseating. Even kept me up from sleep. Neighborhood was surrounded by homeless people. Will never go back there.

Very enjoyable facilities and staff. Clean room and great location. I would certainly recommend this place to others.

Despite the hotel being affordable, I was very unhappy with my visit. The 'continental' breakfast was a complete joke - no coffee, a crumbled granola bar that had been sitting there for months and stale fruit. The pillows and bedding were atrocious, I may have gotten bed bugs. I was COMPLETELY GROSSED OUT. The room was on a smoking floor and smellled horrible. Also, there was no one answering the phone for late checkout so we stood there for many minutes before someone opened the door to let us check in. I am very unhappy with my booking and WILL NEVER stay at an Extended Stay America.

Good hotel, sketchy area though. But stayed there just to visit San Fran so just being there to sleep it worked out really well. About 20 minutes away from downtown San Fran.
