Positives: the host was very responsive and respectful and addressed concerns . There were plenty of dishes and cutlery and having an air conditioner/ heater in each bedroom is nice. The unit is gated and locked which feels safe and private. Negative: In the effort to be transparent so others can make informed decisions . Unfortunately, our experience with this unit was very different from what was portrayed in the listing photos. After arriving and spending the night, we noticed multiple concerns including a strong odor in the home, visible water damage and deterioration throughout the property, damaged electrical outlets that did not feel safe to use, and windows without proper locks. The condition of the home appeared significantly more worn and neglected than expected. The host was polite and did agree to refund the unused nights after we communicated our concerns, which we appreciated. However, we ultimately did not feel comfortable or safe continuing our stay and checked out early. I would encourage the host to address the maintenance and safety issues, as the property has potential to be really cute and nice but currently does not match the condition presented in the listing. I would encourage people to ask about repairs before writing the property off because like I said , it has a lot of beautiful potential
