Room (3309) was small cramped. The bathroom was very small and lacked adequate shelf space. I travel all over the world and this room compares to an average room in a third world country. In Asia, the room rate for this room would be about $100/night.

Hotel staff were great. Protest was annoying at times but I’m sure that was their point. Will go back for sure.

Luxury despite protest; staff was great and accommodating.

Nice hotel on the beach. Staff was excellent!!! Will definitely come back and stay again!

Best part of our stay was the front desk help. He was awesome and accommodating. Valet staff was awesome, as well. Other than that, did not like being woken up by the picketers chanting on the beach at 7 AM! Then had to hear them in the front of the hotel the whole time we were in the area. Also, the room was really tiny! We basically had to squeeze by ea other to get around our luggage and the furniture to get to the really tiny bathroom. This room is ok for a single occupant. For two or more, really tiny! And the halls have an old smell to it.

Purchased an ocean view with a balcony for a honeymoon and only had a partial view due to the palm trees blocking and looks like we got stuck in the old part of the hotel

Very relaxed vibe, hotel right on the beach and the waves were gentle.

Hotel is central to all things in Waikiki. Very clean especially from being right next to the beach and all the foot traffic. Plenty of shops and restaurants downstairs or right next door. Complimentary Guava drink next to reception desk is good and unlimited beach towels during the day is a major plus. Would come here again.

Great beach front location and facing Main Street, Closed to the shopping and restaurant chains.

Great location for someone who plans to just walk around town to all the tourist spots and enjoy the beach. The pool is subpar, but Waikiki beach (adjacent to the hotel) is essentially a huge and safe salt water pool. The bed was very comfortable for me with high quality down-filled pillows. I was only there for 2 nights, but it was perfect for a short trip.

The only complaint is the tiny pool and limited amount of lounge chairs considering the hotels capacity. We had a hard time finding room at the pool and/or beach everyday.

Great stay at a beautiful hotel on the beach. One of the best things to do is to sit and read under the beautiful banyan tree. Definitely will stay here again.

Our stay was good. The Hotel is nice and right on the beach. The restaurants were great and the staff was as helpful as can be. The hotel is located in a great area near shops and food. There were some minor things that could have been better but those were more things I personally would have preferred that have nothing to do with the hotel. Would definitely come back and stay there.

Everyone was friendly and welcoming from the day we arrived. We arrived in Hawaii with no plans, but managed to do something different daily with the concierges help. The Moana Surfrider is in a perfect location for scenery, shopping, and excursions.

Booked room on line through Orbitz requested king bed- called 5 months prior to trip requested upgrade to room with king bed with ocean view & balcony -checked in to room size of closet with full bed-called front desk they were able to upgrade at a cost of $1800.00 did not honor the 3 days free that was booked through Orbitz-

The hotel is beautiful and the room was nice, however the beach kept getting interrupted by the commercial boats docking and asking my swimmers and sun bathers to move, and even though we were paying $65 a night for parking the valet seemed put out each time we requested our car.

Aloha, Mahalo for choosing to stay with us at the Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa. Thank you also for taking the time to share your candid feedback. We are disappointed to hear you had a less than memorable stay in our Diamond Wing. Please note that at the Moana we offer three distinctive wings that offers our guests a variety of accommodations. Charming, intimate settings in the Historic Banyan Wing, unique Hawaiian artwork and views of bustling Honolulu in the Diamond Wing, and spacious, fully furnished lanais showcasing spectacular ocean views in the modern Tower Wing. On your next visit, we hope that you will enjoy your stay in a guestroom perfectly suited to your preferences. We hope to welcome you back one day soon. Aloha, Mahalo for your recent stay with us at the Moana Surfrider. We are disappointed to learn that we were unable to exceed your expectations on your last stay at the Moana. Opening in 1901, the Moana was the first hotel built on Waikiki Beach, beginning a rich tradition of Hawaiian hospitality and luxury accommodations. Today, we are proud to effortlessly blend the details of the Moana’s original design with modern comforts and amenities for our guests to unwind, relax, and rejuvenate. We regret that your experience in a Historic Banyan Wing guestroom was less than perfect. The unique layout of the Moana, offers our guests a variety of accommodations: charming, intimate settings in the Historic Banyan Wing, unique Hawaiian artwork and views of bustling Honolulu in the Diamond Wing, and spacious, fully furnished lanais showcasing spectacular ocean views in the modern Tower Wing. On your next visit, we hope that you will enjoy your stay in a guestroom perfectly suited to your preferences. We appreciate your review and look forward to welcoming you back for another relaxing stay at the Moana. Me Ke Aloha Pumehana (with warm aloha), Karen W. Guest Experience Team
