Twinflower Cabin is a one-of-a-kind, site-specific retreat designed by Whitten Architects. Crafted with the movement of the sun in mind, it offers a serene escape.

Located near plenty of hiking, skiing/cross country skiing, lakes, and more, this is the perfect place for your next retreat.

This home has been a labor of love, and I’m excited to share it with you.

IMPORTANT things to note:
(1) 4 Wheel Drive REQUIRED Nov 1st-April 15th
(2) Starting May until Fall of 2026, during some week days, there may be some construction noise up the road from our next door neighbors building their home. The noise would only happen during the week roughly 8am-4/5pm inconsistently. A discount has been applied for these days.

THE SPACE:
Perfectly oriented towards the west, the home bathes in the soft, golden light of the afternoon, making it an ideal setting for those seeking tranquility.

Every room is framed by unobstructed views of the White Mountains, including the iconic Mount Washington—the tallest peak in the East.

LOCATION:

A short drive takes you to both Sunday River and Pleasant Mountain Ski Resorts, where you'll find exceptional skiing, including night skiing. It's also an excellent base for exploring the national parks of Maine and New Hampshire.

There are dozens of hiking trails. Check out the Maine hiking book on our bookshelf or ask the host for recs.

(1) 10-minute walk from Little Pennesseewassee Lake (Hobbs Pond) which provides great swimming and fishing.
(2) 5-minute drive from Pennesseewassee Lake. The larger lake you can rent boats, and visit the beach.
(3) We offer 3 blow up kayaks (one 2-person and two 1-person), with life vests, and manual pumps. They are light enough to walk down to the pond (although a 10 min steep walk) or can fit in most cars un-inflated.
(4) Downtown Norway, with its vibrant selection of shops, restaurants, and bars, is just a 10-minute drive away.
(5) Just minutes away, you'll find the Norway Country Club, where you can enjoy world-class golfing in the summer.

THE SPACE:

Inside, the home has a full kitchen with an oven, stove, full-size fridge, dishwasher, sink and plenty of cookbooks to serve as inspiration. A microwave is tucked in the pantry, and we provide coffee with Nespresso pods for your convenience.

We pride ourselves on halving all the essentials (spices, oil, cookware)

The spacious main room features a modern fireplace and comfortable lounge area, perfect for cozying up with a book or enjoying a game.

Sit back, relax and play a record from our vinyl collection. Pop on a movie on the projector or play a little Nintendo 64 like it's 1997 ;)

The hot tub overlooks the same beautiful view and seats 4-6. You can also enjoy grilling on the flattop cast iron grill.

Last but not least, lay on our outdoor catamaran net and gaze at the beautiful star filled night sky or sit by the outdoor campfire on the lower level out back.
