We stayed in La Pacifica Hacienda on our last night in Costa Rica. We choose it for it's proximity to the Liberia airport. When we pulled up to the entrance we were happily surprised at how green the hotels surroundings were. Check in was easy and when we arrived at our little apartment and opened the door, we were thrilled to see what a lovely space we were in. Highlights: Easy parking right in front of room, in-room fridge, comfortable bed, clean space, outstanding "porch" overlooking the grounds with rocking chairs, awesome swimming pool, howler monkeys and deer right on the grounds, helpful staff and great food, right next door to the Las Pumas rescue center (though you do need to drive to get there).
Had a short stay on way from Liberia to Arenal. It would have been nice to stay even longer. Saw monkeys, deer and other critters. Great food. They unfortunately did not tell us about the puma rescue close by or we would have gone. Heard about it after we left the are.
High gloss digs at an affordable price. Room was clean and very spacious with a 12 foot high ceiling . Meals were all good and the service was quick and polite. The pool was large, clean and no chlorine smell to contend with. Canas is hot but the room had air and with a great pool its was dealt with easily.
