Everything about this rental experience was unnecessarily difficult. Communication from the rental company was overwhelming and unhelpful. There were approximately 20 emails and texts the week of our rental, most of which were boilerplate and not specific to our stay, which made it frustrating to sort through what actually applied.The logistics were also inconvenient. We were required to bring our own sheets and towels, check in at a separate building about 10 minutes away just to receive a keypad code, which could have easily been sent electronically, and return a pool key in person instead of simply leaving it in the unit at checkout. On top of that, we had to wait while front desk staff finished a personal conversation before assisting us. By itself, not a big deal but on top of everything else, it seemed rude.Unfortunately, the condition of the rental itself was also disappointing. The listing photos make the unit look bright, clean, and fresh. This was definitely not the case. The unit felt dingy and poorly maintained. The floors were so dirty that we had to wear socks, floorboards were peeling/bubbling at the corners, and the walls and baseboards were visibly dirty. Even the plates and utensils needed to be rewashed before use.It is a shame, because the location is great, but the overall experience did not meet expectations.
