The hotel was the best one for you if you travel with car, it has a free parking very comfortable room very good breakfast which including the room price , with the variety of juices , cheeses, bacon, eggs, many types of breads, fresh fruits ... The staffs were kind and helpful, Highly recommended.
Overall, this hotel has a poor standard of care for its guests, with complaints and concerns being met with little or no solution. Room cleanliness was a big issue for our family - bath not cleaned for two days, beds very poorly made (could not tell if they had been made or not) towels not replaced on several occasions, bathroom bin not emptied, no spare toilet roll left. Bad smell of damp in the corridors on the first and second floors. Badly stained carpets in the bedrooms. Light bulbs missing and lamps full of dead flies. The bar area was pleasant and fairly comfortable. The staff friendly. The food was 'ok' but overpriced and with the occasional element of 'surprise' as to how ur steak is 'done' or how ur meal compares to the description on the menu. It is advisable to pay as you go or you could end up with another surprise at the end of your stay when you settle the bill - beverages/meals not ordered or consumed. Breakfast was disappointing with no variation throughout our stay. The 'hot' choice was rarely hot and the toaster inadequate. The reception team were given the chance to resolve our concerns, but unfortunately this did not happen. We were left feeling disappointed and frustrated. We will not be returning to this hotel!
Dogs barking and one tipping all morning. You can see and hear semi truck starting and stopping and backing up. Service vehicles, gravel crunching as cars drive into the lot people talking loudly as they enter or stand outside as well as smell cigarettes below the main entry. Very disappointed. I felt like not being older and not Dutch I got the krappy room. The room is nice- don't get me wrong. Just a very hi traffic area and may consider elsewhere. I have had better rooms before but the front desk attitudes dictate your room location. And the last two busts may just be that. The last. I may go back to the metro hotels when in this area next visit. Dunk u
i stayed on 26/02/17 the website crashed upon booking. the very nice staff then decided to charge me for 2 rooms when it was clear i only needed 1. they charged me full price for this bearing in mind it was 3am and checkout was at 11 am. - how nice of them. anyway there were people laughing screaming and drunk in the corridors and the over everything of this hotel was just awful in every way. but the best thing was the staff were just so awful in the way they treat you and the way they solve problems. they may as well call it: fletchers "there is nothing we can do about it" hotel. so overall stay away from this scam place.
we have booked here with vouchers, for the price we paid its fine but this hotel is not 4 star as stated. room decoration is absolutely dated. but it is fair clean and cosy enough. free parking and free wifi provided. truck stop , an oil station, a Snack bar ( Frituur ) an Atm can be found outside if necessarry. hotel is just in between of Germany and Holland its About 50 km to Dusseldorf, 6-7 kms to Roermond Center and Designers Outlet. Hotel has Restaurant and Bar. Reception fella informed we have been upgraded free to beter room than we booked. thanks for that kindness. Hotel room has Espresso machine but a Kettle with tea and coffee facilities would be absolutely much much beter than this.
I booked and paid for 2 guests, a double standard room. On the arrival date, an unfriendly Mrs. Germaine calls me on my private cellphone, and asks if I will book dinner or breakfast???!! When I say im not sure, she states that the room we will be getting has only a twin bed for 2 people, is very small but I can upgrade for an x amount if I dont pay for a meal there. SCAM! did I give permission to contact me for this? NO! Did I book for 2 guests? Yes. STAY AWAY, illegal practices and when I complained to their corporate offices, no response. I am contacting the appropriate organization to file a complaint.
We had a very nice lunch here en route for Düsseldorf. The food and ambience in the quiet and shady garden at the back were very good. We had salads, an omelette and drinks a ND everything was tasty and well presented. Service was also very good. A very convenient stop and much better than average motorway service station food.
What's in a name... that sounds lovely. But then...the location looks like a truck stop. The interior needs serious redecorating. The lunch was way below standard. Our complaint that the soup was salty was repaired by adding water in the kitchen. All by all sad.
There is no public transport to this hotel, the nearest bus stop is about 1.5 km away. If you are lucky, and have good weather, trundling your suitcases along a tarmacced cyclepath takes about 15 - 20 minutes to reach the hotel. If you are unlucky and it is raining, then you will get soaked. The only alternative is to get a taxi from the one firm that has a special rate with the hotel, at €15 each way, which can soon get to be an expensive option. The room we had, was on the first floor and faced onto what we found out was a stopover point for lorries pulling off the main autobahn into Germany. The room had no air conditioning, so we had to open a window for fresh air, and therefore because of this we could hear lorries pulling up at all times of night ,and cars pulling into the hotel car park. The breakfast was included, but selection was basic, with no variety over the 4 days that we stayed. However the evening meal, gave a good selection. Surprisingly few of the staff spoke English, but they made every effort to make themselves understood. I knew this hotel during my time stationed at the former military base just afew kilometres over the border, and it is quite sad to see, how it has become a shadow of its former self.
The hotel is a bit dated. The breakfast buffet doesn't have a lot of variety and not so good as Some other Fletcher hotels. Staff is friendly and very helpful! Really close to the outlet centre so perfect for shopaholics. Also close to the german border and Some Nice german parcs.
