Originally we’d booked one night as a stopover on the way back from Poland when we learned that a friend had moved to Venlo. Having found ourselves closer to Venlo than we thought we’d be we called he Campanile and asked if we could come one night early if they could accommodate us. The answer was yes, and upon arrival we found the staff to be very helpful. The room was basic but clean, the breakfast was all that you would need and it was ideally placed for the motorway and a nearby shopping centre. The town centre was not too far either. All in all, value for money, but it is a motel, not a hotel, so two nights was stretching it a bit given the size of the room and lack of a fridge/iron. So great for a one night stop over if you want to be fresh for an onward drive the next day (three and a half hours from the Tunnel). .......and dog friendly too.
The room is decent, cleaned every day. You get tea and cookies every day. I stayed for two nights and slept in two rooms. In the first one the window was crooked, but I got new room without any problems. Nothing to complain, nothing to praise :)
This is a typical one night stop hotel. Close to the motorway, free parking,... Friendly staff and the breakfast is well done. The rooms are clean but very basic. The bathroom can you use a refreshment or a more modern style. I paid 88 euro all in. Referring to other same type of hotels I paid here 15% more. Perhaps it was a busy period.
Stayed here as stop over on our way to Germany. We didn't arrive until the early hours of the morning, but the staff were very accommodating and made arrangements for our rooms to be ready, but without us having to check in. Bed was very comfortable, and there were the usual amenities such as tea, coffee etc. Overall a very comfy and relaxed stop off, and now on with our journey.
Travelling to Germany from England, this band needed an overnight stop along the way. We used 4 rooms between us, but my husband and I shared this one that we found to be just what we needed. The bed was large and comfortable. The room and bathroom were clean, with an amenities you would need for an over night stay. I can't speak for the rest of the band, but the 2 of us were delighted with our room.
Nice room for a good price. Good for a 1 night stay traveling to the south. Staff is really friendly, good breakfast with croissants, different kind of bread, meat, eggs, yoghurt, cereals and even fresh orange juice. Really quite when we were there.
We were a group of five motorcyclists travelling to Germany and we broke our journey here on the first night. We were on a budget and this turned out to be a good choice. Plenty of parking when we arrived and it never filled up. The reception we received was warm and friendly and we had some say as to where our rooms were. The reception, bar and restaurant are in one building and the rooms are next door like a block of 3 storied flats, no lifts. The rooms were clean, basic and adequate for our needs, all were en-suite. The walkway to the rooms is covered and it was very warm so a rain shower was enjoyed from the cover outside the room. The rooms are non smoking but there are ashtrays fixed to the balcony outside every third room. The windows have shutters if you require a dark room. The bar and restaurant was pleasant, clean and tidy. the Beer and food good and we had a nice uneventful stay here. I would happily stay again.
Rooms open on garden or balcony, they are clean and quiet. No elevator for the upper floors, but they have ground floor rooms too. Breakfast is very good, they also prepare lunch bags if you need. Always make sure any extra gets marked to the right room, because at checkout they will not be able to modify any of the meal or drinks assignments for printing the invoice.
Stayed for 3 nights. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. I would call it a motel rather than a hotel. Good breakfast , English, continental and cereals. Had evening drinks in the bar.Staff all spoke English and were by helpful.. Good carparking. Easy to find. Down points for me was no air conditioning, shutters on window which had to stay closed as there was only nets on window, no curtains.
Parking area is good and looks safe. Checking in is ok, directed to our room in the next block, the access is scruffy, looks like there might have been work going on at top level, the room is dated but clean. We had a beer, ate in and enjoyed some good local cuisine. Breakfast was adequate and enough. First time in an campanile, at the right price for a one night stopover. Not so sure I would stay any longer.
