My wife and i have just finished a week of relaxation and the best service we have ever received. From the reception staff, the in house tour guides and the restaurant and room staff. We found everyone very pleasant and helpful. The private beach and the spa facility is also amazing. Thanks Mrs Tru we will be back as soon as we can, and will highly recommend the resort to our family and friends. Thanks again for a great time.
I read that it is a bit dated but we instead found it very comfortable, pleasurable and not wanting in comforts. Room was so very comfortable. All we needed was included. We ate at both restaurants as well as pool side. Wait staff were friendly and helpful. Front desk and experience manager were very helpful. We used Experience center for a private boat ride on river, an amazing bike ride through the country side, mud bath and sundown at hill with Buddha. Highly recommend this combination of relaxing beach side and access to city amenities.
My friend and I stayed here in December. From the service to accommodations and scenery, this place is awesome. The service was impeccable and staff went out of their way to make sure we were happy and comfortable at all times. The resort grounds are beautiful and the food was delicious. Wish I could live there!!
A real oasis in Nha Trang. Great beachfront hotel with excellent pool and selection of food options. Within a 10-15 mins walk of Nha Trang nightlife & restaurants. Staff very friendly & attentive. Highly recommended for this area.
There is no doubt that the location of this property is perfect. Within walking distance of "town" but with it's own private beach and grounds. Although we noticed during our stay there were people using the beach lounges and pools who were clearly not resort guests. We had a beach front room (308) which was spacious and a great location on the beach with a view, however we could still hear the road noise, so I'm not sure how noisey the rooms closer to the main road would be. The room itself, whilst comfortable, was dated and tired looking. Also, beware, the bathroom is outside. I thought from the photos that there was an optional outside bath, but in fact the shower and bath are both outside which means you do share it with the mosquitoes. Thankfully the toilet was inside but the inside bathroom was not air conditioned. A great selection for the breakfast buffet and staff were exceptionally professional with great service. There is no doubt you are paying a premium for the location of the resort and I'm not sure it is worth that premium. Beware that the public beaches either side of the resort are just crazy busy.
We have just left the Evason, having spent 5 days there part way through our Vietnam trip. The hotel is a little slice of peace and tranquility in a city that has virtually no redeeming features. The gardens and pools are beautiful. Unfortunately for the Evason, the main visitors to the city (Russians & Chinese) don't appreciate low rise, peaceful, traditional style hotels with beautiful gardens. Presumably one of the reasons the hotel is closing in the next couple of years? Despite what others may say, there is NO private beach at the hotel. The beach is public and as a result, people constantly walk off the beach onto the hotel grounds to pose for selfies by the beautiful pools or even worse, to have a swim or lie on the sun beds (they really do this, we saw them) as there is not a single other hotel on the miles of beach front at Nha Trang. The staff do their best to get rid of them but it's a constant problem. If you are determined to visit Nha Trang, you should stay at this hotel. It is not quite 5 star by today's standards (it's seen better days) but the wonderful staff and beautiful grounds more than make up for it.
All the rooms are in cottages and they are a little old fashioned but clean and a bit of luxury with huge and soft pillows (they have a pillow menu). Private beach that is clean and peaceful, infinity pool and the waiter comes to you on the beach to serve slices of watermelon and a cool face towel to wipe away the sand and sweat. Breakfast buffét is good but their lunch and dinner menus in the Pavillion and Ana Beach Restaurant is limited and always the same food served. The Evason in Hua Hin is much more luxurious in everything although they did not have a beach. Still we enjoyed our stay in this hotel.
One of the biggest perks of this hotel is the private beach which is such a great place to enjoy the sunshine and relax from the busy streets of Nha Trang. Another perk is that staff from the hotel bring cold towels and watermelon to you every morning on the beach. The rooms are quite spacious and I absolutely loved the outdoor shower/bath area. The rooms are starting to date a bit and I noticed a few cracks on doors and cabinets but nothing too major. The breakfast has a huge amount of variety and you can eat breakfast looking out on the beach and sea which is a lovely start to the day. The staff at the hotel are lovely and they also have some great trips on offer. There are 2 restaurants which were good, however they are quite expensive and the menus are quite limited. All in all, this is a nice, peaceful place to relax but it didn't really have the kind of resort feel that we thought it would. I think this is due to the location as you can hear the traffic from the street.
Stayed at Ana Mandara in 2011 for 10 nights in a Deluxe Beach Front Villa and returned in late March for a 15 night stay. Again we had a Deluxe Beach Front Villa (304) which is perfectly located between the Reception, small pool and breakfast area and the larger infinity pool. As in 2011 the room was spotless with every possible thing thought of. We loved to be able to sit on the balcony and watch the people go by as well as being only metres from the beach. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and special mention goes to Tram from the pool bar and Lai who often looked after us at breakfast and lunch. Nha Trang has got a lot busier from our last visit, a lot of high rise development going on and the noise of construction is constant, but somewhat muted if you book a room towards the infinity pool and closer to the beach. We had a number of spa treatments, they were excellent and reasonably priced. There are two main eating areas at Ana Mandara, both have good quality food and selections. Plenty of restaurants outside, but you need to know where they are. Good Morning Vietnam was good for Italian and the Sailing Club (on the beach) has very well prepared meals. I would highly recommend Ana Mandara if going to Nha Trang. The beach is private and well scrutinised by the staff as the northern end of the beach is invariably very crowded with locals and the ever increasing charter flights from Russia. Sadly we have heard that Evason Ana Mandara is building a new complex on the beach towards the airport and it is likely that the present resort will close, however, that may not be for about 3 years, so please go and enjoy one of the best beach resorts we have stayed at. We booked directly with the hotel and as return guests got a great deal with a few sweetners, eg, a free massage and a dinner for two. Thank you Evason Ana Mandara and all the staff for another wonderful holiday in your beautifully kept and managed resort.
Great place to stay. It's a shame it will be knocked down to build a skyscraper. The staff where so helpful. The beachfront is very clean and tidy. Lovely food in all the restaurants. We are glad to see this place before it gets knocked down. Carol & Steve .
