Location is within 5 minutes to Tracen Yorktown if you are visiting someone in the Coast Guard. We stayed here for our daughter’s graduation. The sad thing is we were at the inn less than 8 hours but I would without a doubt stay again. We stayed in the Patriot room and it was great. It was a home away from home. Very clean! I think the location is great also for being close to the waterfront or the historical battlegrounds. I would like to state how great it has been communicating with the owners. I had an original trip planned a few weeks ago and my flights got cancelled due to the hurricane and they were great with handling that and helping me switch my reservation to another weekend. I could say more positive statements about this whole experience but I’ll just say this, choose the Marl Inn and you will be happy you did!

We love bed and breakfast in general but this location is truly special. Any and Paul welcomed us into their home as if we were relatives and after five days we felt like family who are also good friends. The inn is absolutely spotless and we'll maintained we stayed in the garden suite and we could easily live there . We will come back to Yorktown again because of the Mark Inn.

The Marl Inn is absolutely beautiful! Each room is well appointed and meticulously clean. The Garden Suite bed was very comfortable and the room had lots of nice details. The hosts are the most down-to-earth, hard working and lovely people. Their breakfasts were delicious with homemade fig jam one day, homemade blueberry syrup for french toast the next. The grounds are well maintained, and peaceful. It is very walkable to the heart of Yorktown where you can get a free shuttle to the battlefield or American Rev museum and points in between. The waterfront is beautiful. This was such an enjoyable and refreshing weekend. We can’t wait to return for a longer stay and highly recommend it.

We were greeted by the the host and graciously welcomed. We were shown our room which was conveniently located on the ground floor - a mini kitchen so we could prepare our own food and spacious area for lounging. Our shower was huge! And with all the right amenities to make our stay just right! Local coffee was made available to prepare coffee in our room in the morning So happy to return to The Marl Inn!

The Marl Inn is a lovely place to stay. We roomed in the Garden View Suite, and it was everything we hoped it would be. The bed was SUPER comfortable! The setting is very peaceful, and you can walk to everything In the historic district. Amy and her helper Maureen were delightful hosts. We didn’t get to meet Paul; maybe next time :) There are excellent dining choices by the riverfront with great views—again, in walking distance from the Inn.

Stayed 2 nights while visiting Jamestown Settlement and Colonial Williamsburg. Paul greeted us on arrival and showed us to our suite. Very informative on the area recommending restaurants etc. We stayed in The Yorktown very quiet and comfortable suite. Unfortunately we suffered a power cut during our stay and were left with no power. Paul and Amy were very accommodating moving us to a different suite for the following evening. Paul kept us up to date with the issues in town as again the whole town lost power. B&B very central to Yorktown park up and walk. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.

We were greeted by owner Amy (&, a bit later, by Paul). Our room was well appointed, clean, bright, comfortable & beautiful. Breakfast was tasty & filling. Conversation, engaging. A great way to begin the day! The grounds are well maintained & has the feel of a private haven. Location is perfect. We walked to all parts of Yorktown without feeling overwhelmed. Deer & other wildlife wandering about. Amy & Paul made us feel like we belonged & treated us like family. Marl Inn B and B is now our Yorktown destination.

My experience and stay at the Marl Inn Bed and Breakfast was outstanding! Amy and Paul were excellent hosts, the room was well appointed, quiet, and very comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The Marl Inn Was my first stop on the TransAmerica Bike ride from Yorktown, VA to Astoria, OR. Amy and Paul allowed me to ship my bike to their Inn, and were able to share many stories of cyclists that had done the trip in years past. Thank you, Amy and Paul, for helping me start my trip on such a positive note!

The owners were very welcoming, the room was inviting and comfortable, and our experience was wonderful! We loved the location, and it was a perfect place for our mini vacation. We will definitely be coming back!

The innkeepers/owners are very nice and personable and provide a wonderful breakfast if you opt to have it added. Our room was very neat, clean and quiet. Location was great, within walking distance to waterfront and restaurants. We will visit again.
