Our 1 bedroom unit was right on the water and gave us a beautiful view from the living room! The property is very centrally located, within walking distance of many downtown attractions. In our unit, the door opened into the bedroom instead of the living/dining area. We wondered if this was because the commercial fishing boats (which were literally out the window) could get noisy at an early hour? Our kitchen had a full size refrigerator, but only a microwave, toaster, and a two-burner cook top. This was fine for a weekend for two. However, no oven and no dishwasher would be a challenge for a week long family vacation. We would return in the future, but would make sure to be in a unit with a full kitchen.
We quite enjoyed our stay here. Spacious and well-equipped room, with good wifi, parking, etc. No complaints other than a somewhat noisy air circulation system. The location is wonderful. Walking distance from everything and close to many restaurants and shops. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. A special shout-out to Cindy who was particularly helpful and nice to us, especially as first-time visitors. We had somehow missed, at the time of booking, that this is a condo establishment and the daily room attendance is not provided. Not a big deal since we were only staying 2 nights. Also, we did not get a "room with a view" as requested. Overall though, this was a good place to stay and we would consider staying here again (if the price is right).
Pool was not open The floors in the dining, kitchen, & master bedroom were wet. We got different stories why the floors were wet. Bed was comfy. Kitchen was serviceable. My sister did not like the twin beds in her room. I'm 6"9" tall; I could not stand in the shower. The downtown location is good.
My 1 bedroom suite at the Wyndham Inn on Long Wharf was just perfect for me. As a kosher traveler, I had to bring my own food. My suite was equipped with a full size refrigerator, microwave, sink and a stove top. The bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean. Great location too!
We arrived on Sunday and 'Jose' the hurricane, hit on Wednesday. Although the weather was simply some occasional rain and higher than normal wind we could not take advantage of the outdoor pool, however they have a heated indoor pool, a hot tub, and a sauna inside. What really made this a great vacation for us was all the people working at the resort. The staff really enjoyed interacting with us to make it a good vacation
Spent two sleepless nights due to rowdy, drunk guests having a party in adjoining rooms. The staff was not able to get them to be quiet and the security guard they sent to the room was joking with these guests in the hallway blaming the "complaining guest". When security left, the party continued with loud laughter about the noise and complaint. This occurred after 1:30 am and continued beyond 3:30 am. Way past the "quiet hours" limit. As I checked out I asked to see a manager and no manager was available. No wonder the staff of youngsters could not get the job done - no management. I left my name and number for the manager to call me when "she" arrived and it is no surprise that no one ever called. This was our third stay here and we have seriously considered purchasing a week here but now realize that it would be a mistake. I will not invest in a location with poor or no management.
very nice location - samll rooms but adequate for two of us - beware if you qare staing in units 358 thru 362- there is noisy construction going on in space below as this are is being converted to 5 br condo - other wise location and services are well done.
We are wyndham time share owners. This 1 BR suite was small but very adequate for an adult couple. It is clean and safe. Parking easy. Location great to all shops and restaurants. All units have Harbor view Rooftop spectacular for sunsets. Love our wyndham time share!!
What a wonderful week we had at Long Wharf! The location was absolutely perfect. We were a block from the Visitors' Center with its handy trolleytours or $2 buses around the historic area. A few blocks away is Bellevue Avenue with all of its Gilded houses and the wonderful Cliff walk with fabulous views. The hotel is just steps from the wharf where we could get a wonderful breakfast or lunch at Belle's. Step out of the hotel and walk down Washington Street and see the 1700's restored houses on one side facing the Bay on the other with a park where you and your family can rest and watch the sunset. The hotel is very family oriented with its own free movie theater with free popcorn plus lots of activities for the family. You are steps away from the wharves with sightseeing boats and great shopping. The staff are very helpful and requests are taken care of quickly. The rooms/suites are not new but very comfortable, and I have never had a kitchen better stocked for the few nights we cooked in. The city is full of beauty and history. We hated to leave, and Long Wharf was the perfect location for the perfect vacation!! Plus, the whirlpool tub was amazing after tiring, long walks!
Had my choice of four Wyndham Vacation properties that had availability for a quick getaway. Chose the Wyndam Inn on Long Wharf. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Checkin was quick and super easy. Our room (one bedroom suite) was the perfect size for us. We went to the roof top deck. Gorgeous. We didn't spend too much time in our room but to sleep shower and slept in and made breakfast in the room. It was clean and neat. The kitchenette had everything I needed. The view was awesome. We could watch the fishermen and women unload the catch of the day and there is a lobster shack right at the foot of the Wharf many enjoyed the fresh catch. We were so close to everything we could walk everywhere, restaurants, shopping, sunset cruise. In the short time we were there we did so much!!! I can suggest Thames Street Glass to make your own ornament, paperweight or vase. Something you don't see or do everyday! Call in advance to book your time. Sunset cruise on the Aquidneck (sp?) Schooner, just the right size plenty of room for everyone and the crew were amazing. Dinner and drinks at many places on the Wharf and Comedy Improv at the Firehouse Theater really funny! Again I highly recommend for things to do outside of see the mansions. Took a nice long ride on Ocean Drive and got out and walked on the rocks during low tide. So beautiful.... Must have lunch at the Castle Hill Inn. Best view of the Bay enjoy a drink on the lawn in the Adirondack chairs so relaxing. So even though it rained a little. Still had a fantastic time.
