Great customer service, allowed me to check in early and the property is beautiful.
Comfortable size room & bathroom. However problem with hot water. Too cold to take shower
Location is centric; 15 mins walk from the Broadway district and to the Strand Book Store. Staff provided first-class consumer service. Great Korean restaurant across the street.
Shower was not clean. Was concerned about bedbugs. Would not stay here again.
It's all relative when it comes to NYC hotels. I paid just over $300 for a room here during Climate Week when much nearby was priced at twice that - so I was worried it would be tiny and filthy. It was actually really lovely! The lobby has a beautiful old elegance without being shabby, as did my room. I was put in a room with 3 single beds - would have been great for a small group as one bed was in a separate area. Bathroom was small but clean. Wifi was spotty. Great convenient location.
The room was clean, big and comfortable, for that price is a really good deal.
The age of the building was kind of fun. The floor in my room was sticky. Sticky carpet and super sticky bathroom floor. It smelled like vomit in the room. I killed a roach in the bathroom. Too bad its nasty because the old building has a ton of character.
The property was old and had that vintage look which is cool and definitely unchangeable. It should not change. The staff members at Front Desk were so nice. A good one nights stay to recharge before my Journey home.
We just returned from a four night stay at the Wolcott. The front desk employees were very helpful in answering all of our questions. We had a twin room and it was fine. The bathroom was really small. The sink was super smal. And there was only about a foot between the toilet seat and wall. I am a small person but I even had trouble getting off the toilet seat. Not for big people or those with long legs. I enjoyed the decor of the lobby and apparently so does the mouse we saw this morning when we were eating breakfast in the lobby. But that's New York City for you!
I liked the location, the free morning coffee & muffins were very good. I wish there’s was a small refrigerator in the room, & an available microwave would have been a nice added touch. The hotel was very quiet which was creepy nice. The bathroom could be improved with shelving to out ones toiletries. There was no room to put anything in the BR. Would stay again if the price is good.
Great location and price. Friendly helpful staff, clean room.
They didn’t have the best shampoo and didn’t have bathrobes at all, but every person who works there is so kind, and my room just felt good. In the morning as I was dashing out to my training, the coffee was delicious, the muffin just right. Great stay, I will return!
Very nice staff. Accommodating. They let me check in way earlier than I thought. Across from parking garage, which they validated my parking for a cheaper rate. Close to restaurants and convenient.
Old hotel, well maintained with charm . Always stay here when in NYC
The staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was super comfortable and the decor had a touch of old New York, elegant and cozy. It is my “hometel” whenever I visit the city.
