Decent hotel for the price. I didn't expect any more considering it was a less expensive hotel right in Manhatten. Went in december, drafty old windows, no blanket on the bed, kust the dirty comforter. Hard bed and lumpy pillows. Shower pressure blows you away! It wasn't awful, and for the price and location I woukd stay there again. You're only there to sleep!
The room was not clean. Very dusty in places that should readily be dusted very day such as the wall shelves, bedside table etc. Carpet stained and ripped. The heat/AC unit would not turn off no matter what I did. It was very loud. I had to put pillows over it. There was a chaise lounge in the room that took up a large amount of space and was totally useless. I was afraid to sit on it. The throw pillows on it were pulled and discolored. The whole room really (aside from maybe the bathroom) was a mess. You have to call and ask for a coffee maker otherwise there is none in the room. I was stuffy and congested each morning waking up in this room. I was concerned for my health and the room cleanliness was just gross. I was afraid to look to close. Good location walkable to a lot but nothing else going for it. The place is quite run down and room was filthy. I had asked to check in girl told me 15 minutes for room. I sat in lobby for 45 before finally going over to her and she was like, "oh yeah sorry it's ready now". Duh...
Great location and excellent service. Will stay again!
Overall a good experience.. well kept hotel with a lot of food choices and activities to do walking distance
The bedding feels like from a cheap motel. A/C unit in the window ads to the noise from the street so much that it's almost impossible to sleep.
Nice but nothing special. No frills. If you want ice you have to go down to the cafe and ask for it. No ice machine on the floor. Rooms are ok, strange layout with a lot of wasted space. We were only staying 1 night and the price was right.
Overall, a nice hotel. Good location. Hats off to the staff. My grandmother is a hand full and the staff were really nice. We split a room - I was in town for fun but she was in town to settle a friend's estate who had recently passed away - so not a good time for her. She can be bossy but the staff was really great. The room was a great size - especially for Manhattan. We had requested a menu, it came two hours later, so then they comped a meal for us! How nice of them. Really a nice way to apologize. Great value and a great experience. Would stay here again.
Good location, fantastic value. Friendly staff. Walkable to just about everything but removed from the annoyances of all the touristy hotels.
The hotel was very quaint and met our needs. Nice location and g.reat price
Great Hotel And Services. Great Location. Will stay there again for that price.
I was so pleased with the friendly staff and beautifully appointed room. The pillows were great. The room was quiet. On the downside, the bathtub didn't drain and the toilet got clogged. The best thing for me was that the hotel is within a 5 minute the walk from Grand Central Terminal. Excellent value for the price.
I would never stay here again. We had water bugs in our bathroom (3). The cable did not come in clearly and it was just not a comfortable room. I should have booked another place. When we checked in we were told our room was not ready and that is fine, but he said we could take another room, but once we are in there that would be it - no switching. Then when I reported the water bugs the manager on duty replied: 'are they anywhere else? I said do you mean like the bed? I hope not. Never ever give this place another shot.
My husband and I stayed here one night while we were in town for a wedding at Bryant Park. The room was pretty big for a NYC hotel and the bed was really comfy. The staff was very helpful. Overall, a great hotel!
Very mediocre hotel, on the dumpy side. Great location and fair price for what you get. Not particularly nice or clean.
The room was sizable with a comfortable bed. The location is wonderful for the theater district without the crowd. Great food surrounding. The staff could not have been better! I would stay here again.
A better experience than a chain hotel... In most every way. Loved our time here.
The hotel went above and beyond. My experience there was absolutely wonderful and I would deffenately stay there again.
We picked this hotel for location and by positive reviews. It is close to Grand Central Station and about a mile from the theater district. We stayed for four nights. Good restaurants/delis/cafes abound in the area. We had a room facing 39th Street and it was very noisy, even over the sound of a window air conditioner. We thought we were paying a lot for a room with a window a/c. The bed was fine. The shower was good, but the bathroom could use more shelf space and grab bars in the tub. It had a great room safe, small refrigerator, and we were surprised to find a bureau with six drawers in the closet these were pluses. The hotel staff was at times inconsistent. Concierge was helpful with restaurants and directions, but desk staff didn't send help for our luggage as requested and one woman had a bit of an edge when speaking to us about this and other things. Their exercise room is in another property so we didn't use it. We understand this is NY and you have to expect high prices and older buildings, but overall we don't feel is a good value for the money. So we wouldn't choose it again.
The Court provides good value for the price, and the location is good. That said the rooms are dated. The vent in our bathroom was so caked with dust, I do not believe it had been cleaned out in 5+ years. Staff was helpful, and pleasant. We've been to this property before, and the only reason we came back was strickly because of the cost factor.
