New modern hotel and great staff. In 40th street between 8-9 avenue. We had a great stay there and will come back

The staff are excellent, very helpful and quick. Unfortunately, I think the pillows weren’t changed, it has bad smell, so I had to ask them for replacement. Also, it’s very noisy, can’t sleep very well. You can hear people chatting outside or the adjacent bedroom. Also you can hear loud sounds from time to time, maybe from the elevator cause our room was near it. The room has small kitchen, that’s a plus factor. Overall, it was a good stay.

Excelent hotel, located very near to time square. Very clean, hotel staff very friendly. Every thing was excelent.

I've stayed at about a dozen hotels in the city, and this one is my favorite so far. A very clean, sizable room for the cost. Based on my searches of the hotel, it seems that every room comes with a small kitchen, it isn't something you need to pay extra for. It's pretty snazzy, a perfect mix of white and chrome, complete with the basic pot, pan, utensils, plates, glassware, etc, plus a FULL size clean fridge and freezer. And a dishwasher with detergent to boot. This is really great for travelers who want to save a bit of money and not eat out all the time. There was also a small "happy hour," with a few free bites and free beer and wine. It's not quality beer and wine mind you, but still a friendly gesture. The bathroom was also attractive and clean, and the bed was really comfy. The only complaint I'd have is that the elevators get REALLY jammed. They are small, and there are only 3, to service over 30 floors. Unfortunately, this set-up is relatively common in Manhattan though, so I don't hold it against them too much.

I stayed for 3 nights and I have really enjoyed my time here. The check in was super fast and the lady at the front desk was very nice. They have a complimentary breakfast buffet and also serve complimentary snacks and drinks on a couple of nights. The room was clean and modern, I loved the bathroom and particularly the close up mirror. My room had a huge window and the view was okay, nothing spectacular. The room also had a kitchen with a full size fridge and freezer, a microwave, toaster, kettle, stove top and a dish washer! It came with tons of China and even pots and pans. Wish I had stayed longer to really get a use out of all the great equipment. The hotel is in walking distance to Times Square, it takes you about 5 to 10 minutes and the area around the hotel is always busy, so I never felt unsafe walking alone between Times Square and the hotel. The only real downside (hence the 4 stars instead of 5) was that my room was in front of the elevator and it was constantly beeping. Also the fridge just randomly made noises which was very distracting at night. All in all I would always recommend this hotel and definitely come back next time I'm in NYC.

Normally I prefer not to stay too close to Times Square due to the tourist factor, but it's a block from the subway so it's pretty easy to get away from the masses of out of towners. The staff were extremely friendly and check in and check out were a breeze. The price is very good for Manhattan, especially considering how nice it is. Any place I've stayed cheaper than this place in Manhattan had me wondering what types of bugs I'd be bringing home with me. The only downers had to do with the elevators. First problem there are only 3 so they take a while to get to your floor and get very full. I personally think it's best to be on a higher floor in these cases. Yes you'll be jammed in a tight elevator, but on the lower floors people couldn't even get in. Another issue with the elevators is they can be loud and are easily heard in the rooms. They sort of sound like a jet flying over the building. If you're a light sleeper I could see this being an issue.

I can’t say enough about the staff at this property! Everyone that I interacted with was beyond friendly and helpful! I loved that Jamie the bellman was also playing guitar in the lobby when I checked in - it set a great tone for the rest of my stay! Amanda and China at the front desk were so sweet and gave me some complimentary snacks during my stay. The room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was high quality and had a good variety. Anything we needed was taken care of immediately. The public spaces had soothing fountains and a lovely fireplace. I was so impressed with this hotel experience and definitely plan to stay here again! Thank you, Staybridge Times Square!

We spent the night in NYC to see a Broadway show. This hotel was an amazing value! Comfortable bedding, quiet, wine glasses, corkscrew, full sized refrigerator. Next time we will stay longer.

$45 for overnight parking...ok for New York but its 3 blocks away self parking. check in and check out with a car is crazy. Crowded lobby waiting for elevators for over 20 minutes. we took stairs 21 flights down to check out.

The staff are absolutely wonderful. The hotel is clean. However, our room window would not lock. In the morning the diesel smell from the bus depot across the street was blasting us in the room. We didn't notice it until we woke up. Some of the hallways smelled like diesel too. Bringing this to the attention of the front desk they credited points and were very professional. Unfortunately, we were sick for several days after. If diesel smell doesn't bother you I highly recommend this hotel otherwise stay clear.

The hotel was great. The staff was easy to work with. The location was close to Time Square and very easy to access transportation to other parts of the city.

Nice hotel close to time square, clean the room and the staff was so friendly. But the bar wasn’t good.

fridge was not plugged on ice maker never worked. breakfast hot items are always cold.

The hotel staff are great -- friendly, helpful and prompt. The morning breakfast is a nice touch, and the location cannot be beat.

People at the front desk was really nice and very professional. Room was really clean and smell really nice, bed was really comfortable. I was really happy just to be in the room. Location was great, close to train station and bus station, also 2 blocks down you are in time square.

Wonderful Hotel, wonderful breakfast provided, and room facilities.

Breakfast buffet was great, comfortable beds, great view and location..Our room was not ready until after 4 and elevators were slow during our stay. Increased staffing at front desk and housekeeping could improve check in process and wait time but overall the staff were very friendly.Overall we were pleased with our stay.

The staff was very friendly. We had an issue with the bathroom and they came and fixed it immediately. Our only problem was they did not clean the room or refill the coffee on our second night stay.

Everything is perfect for 18th anniversary. Hotel is nice and crew is so kind.

This is a nice hotel close to Port Authority and Time Square. The alley is a bit dark and scary to walk back to the hotel at night so be careful. They have a free breakfast which is good to have before starting your day and Social hours from 5pm -7 pm that we all love ( wine, beer, fritos, hotdogs, fruits, soft drinks etc ). The room needs more lighting especially the bathroom but having a kitchenette with a full size refrigerator and kitchen utensils is a plus. There is a drug store with grocery down the road which made it convenient, bought bottled water and some snacks . We reserved 2 joining rooms and called several times to at least put us on one floor, but instead we are on the 15th and kids on the 13th which is a hustle due the fact that the elevator is slow especially on pick hours. There are restaurants nearby and the area is a walking distance to broadway theaters. We have an oversized truck and SUV that we have to valet park 3 blocks away from the hotel for $45. Parking in NYC is a challenge but the bell man helped us park infront of the hotel so we can load and unload our belongings. Overall staffs are very helpful. We would stay in this hotel if ever we are back in New York.
