If dark, cold and slightly humid dungeons are your thing, you should request to stay in room 207. Even on a bright and sunny day, when birds are singing and the kids are playing outside, not a sliver of sun can sneak into the small window of room 207 overlooking a large, industrial-looking structure in the courtyard. I just wish they'd accessorized the room with some whips and chains.
This was my first time staying at this boutique style hotel. It was conveniently located near a subway and many upscale restaurants. The staff is simply amazing and went above and beyond to make our stay very pleasant. There were a few opportunities logistical and regarding my experience in the hotel. The restaurant was closed we were not aware. Additionally, we could hear the people above us, and next room to us as well. I would recommend some sound proofing because even when they weren’t talking loud, my husband and I were able to clearly hear them.
The rooms and bed are small but remodeled and clean. (Unless you ask for a king bed) The people at the front desk are very friendly and helpful. On a rainy day they offered us umbrellas to borrow. There are covered tables out front that you can sit at. We sat there to talk, eat, and wait for our ride. There’s a little bar on the roof also.
Good hotel with a nice top floor lounge and view in the Flatiron District. Loved the location steps away from Madison Square Park. Steps away from Blue Smoke barbecue and the excellent Jazz Standard (which I went to twice during my four night stay).
I stayed for one night because I had a work related class in mid town - I didn’t have much time but wanted to be comfortable - the The Henri was perfect! Location was great - good restaurants right down the street and Madison Square park close by - the young women st the front desk were delightful and the room was just what I needed.
Stayed in this hotel with a friend on our trip to NYC. The location was as good as we expected with good connections to all directions and a lot to offer nearby. The hotel itself was good, service good ans in general nothing to complain. Our smaller problem with the window on arrival was taken care of quickly and nicely. The rooms are not big as you can expect in Manhattan but everything worked, the bed was good and room reasonably quiet. The only bothering noise was the elevator pling once it arrived to our floor, which could be a bit more settle. The only small disappointment was the rooftop bar, where the “terrace” was non existent. Would definitely consider staying here again.
We happened upon this hotel online, and so glad we did! it was exactly what we needed. Not too small, enough room for 2 people and they have complimentary use of umbrellas which we needed because it rained for 2 days. It was in a great location and walking distance to alot of NYC. Will definitely visit again.
We stayed st Hotel Henri for proximity to Kleinfelds Bridal. Unfortunately, it was quite far to all other attractions, so needed to Uber everywhere!! Rooms and beds were very small, but only slept and got ready, so that’s OK, I guess. Rooftop bar was nice, but nearly $20 a drink!!
Great friendly service.. very convenient right in the middle of Manhattan.. unfortunately you will miss a great breakfast restaurant.. luckily there is of course a lot of restaurants very close to.. can I recommend the hotel.. absolutely yes
I stayed here for two nights and having stayed in a variety of hotels in New York for business over the years I have to say that I’ve now found a place I would book again in a heartbeat. The reason is the front of staff our so friendly, the rooms are clean and tidy, all very modern and best of all is the free daily pass to the nearby Equinox Gym which is awesome if you need a workout whilst away. It’s not a plush 5 star hotel with all the trimmings but if you’re looking for a great location, very clean hotel that is 4 star I would say then this is great value for a mid range cost hotel.
