The rooms were very small. The room and bathroom were clean. I stayed with my 6 yr old and we were fine with the space in the queen room. It may be a bit harder with 2 adults. I will most likely stay here again. The location is perfect!

Everything is within walking distance. Broadway is literally 5 minutes away. The Empire state building and Rockefeller center were only 20-25 minutes away walking. The rooms are a bit small but we were on lyrics in the room to sleep so it wasn't really a problem. The staff was extremely helpful and the rooms were cleaned and restocked every day. They even let us check in early.

The location is perfect, the staff is very friendly and the room was very clean. The hotel however is outdated and the rooms are very small. The price per night is very competitive, I recommend this hotel. Friendly staff, clean and perfect location.

I did not appreciate that they overbooked and then had to send me to another hotel that was cheaper in quality. I could not really do anything about it since there were not may places with any capacity. They even wanted me to pay for a cab to get to the new place when I had nothing to do with the error. I even called earlier to confirm my reservation and they confirmed that all was good.

It's right in the heart of New York City. A block from Times Square and other attractions make the location ideal. There is street noise but they provide ear plugs. Room is small but clean and the bed was comfy. Book in advance for better price. I waited till the last minute but it was still a lower price than other hotels in the neighborhood.

Really easy to check in and check out, friendly staff great location. The rooms are a little bit small but comfortable and Pacific at night.

Elevator broke down for 2 of 4 days, would have been a problem for older folks.

the room was adequate but very hot - had to turn on the ac to try to be comfortable. I didn't have much interaction with the staff but they were courteous when I did speak to them.

Location for Broadway and Times Square is very good, other than that there is really nothing great about this place. There is a bar across the street which is open until 4:00am, noise all night plus noise from constant traffic all night. The room is very tiny, it's good for people who are not more than 3 ft. tall. There are really no ammenities. Myself and the three other people I was with would never go back there.

The hotel was a few blocks away from Times Square, and there are many food places just downstairs. The room is really small (couldn't find space to open my luggage) but amenities are decent. There are safes provided in the cupboard, would appreciate if it was bigger (to place my laptop in it). I would also appreciate a more spacious area at least to open up our luggages. There's free breakfast provided (right in front of the counter). Food like croissants, tarts, yogurt, bread, hot tea/coffee, milk and orange juice. Saves you a meal. There's however only one table provided, and many other chairs. On a whole it was decent, I stayed there for 2 nights and was quite happy about it.

Room was very clean and staff was very helpful .Only complaint would be that the room was very very small even for 150.00 dollars location was good.

the hotel is in a great location but the rooms are very very tiny.

We arrived from the airport at 9 a.m. They allowed us to check in early. When we experienced a plumbing problem the second day, they fixed it IMMEDIATELY! The front desk as well as maintenance and cleaning ladies were all extremely helpful answering all our "I've never been to NYC" questions without making us feel stupid. Yes, the rooms are very small but all we did was sleep so it wasn't a problem!

The location is great, close to subway, restaurants and not far from Times Sq. The room however was tiny.. practically just the twin bed. It was a summer night and we slept with window open as we don't like AC, (even if we did, it makes noise)... As the hotel is on the corner of very busy 8th avenue expect to be disturbed by the city noise all night. Traffic, ambulances, people, blaring air conditioners all around... not a quite place at all. The hotel was clean and the staff helpful. Have been to NYC countless times, wouldn't stay here again. Good location though.

The hotel was nice, the only thing negative would be the elevator was very slow

It was convenient for our purposes but uncomfortable because of the small size..and very noisy from outside on Friday and Saturday nights.

We stayed at the Econolodge for a short late-week getaway. Overall, we were very pleased with the hotel. It was a wonderful location a little over a block away from the heart of Times Square (at the TKTS booth). Like any other hotel room in NYC, the room was small but very clean. This was our 4th trip to NYC so we were vaguely familiar w/ the city. Because of the great location to the places we wanted to go, we were able to walk EVERYWHERE! We went as far as Macy's and Madison Square Garden, to Rockefeller Center, to the Ed Sullivan Theater. We attended a broadway show that was practically in our "back yard". Needless to say, we were very pleased with our stay here. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to NYC.

Previous stays at the Edison and the Marriott Marquis were obviously more upbeat but it was close to Times Square and only needed to stay one night - so it was OK.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay. The rooms were tiny, but tolerable for one night. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was no heat in the room and when we asked, were told that the city controlled it and they hadn't turned it on yet????? The breakfast area had very little seating with no tables to set your coffee cup or cereal. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It's a great location, and we would probably stay there again.

Previous reviews noted the small rooms, so I was not surprised. But I still laughed when I saw it. I had to walk around sideways to get to the window. The bed was fine, normal queen size, but the rest of the furniture was tiny to not take up more space. That means little closet space, small desk surface and no luggage stand. On the plus side, there was decent coffee in the lobby 24x7 and free breakfast (although only donuts and cold bagels). Also, there is no place to sit for breakfast – people were milling around the lobby holding their plates. Also, it might be a stretch to sat this place is located in Times Square, but it was only a couple blocks away. The stairwells look scary, but don't be afraid, and definitely take the stairs if you are impatient and on a lower floor - the elevator is sloooow (but it does work).
