good location, very clean, nice stay, the only downside is that the breakfast is not included. I would recommend the hotel to others.

What probably stood out to me most was how clean the bathroom was in the hotel room...amazingly white and shiny. The bed and pillows were very confortable, and the sheets were super soft. My only gripe was that the wifi was pretty slow at times, and the description for our room when booking said that it had a city view, but in our 6th floor room it was two large windows along a wall that were pretty high up. If I jump then I can see out of it to the streets below...otherwise from most of the room you only see upper parts of buildings and the sky. Its not a deal breaker though and we very much enjoyed everything else about our stay. All the staff, housekeeping and cleaning crew were incredibly kind, helpful, and all-around awesome people. This place really grew on me and I would totally stay here again.

I would however recommend this hotel highly it's something very different which deserves to be supported.

I was so impressed with my stay at the Blue Moon, I will definitely be back. The rooms have been converted from hotel rooms to dorm rooms, that said my room was spacious with a lovely balcony. The ensuite bathroom was very nice and clean,as you would expect from a nice hotel room. It did not have that dingy dorm room feel. I had read some reviews about the staff being unfriendly. I did not find that to be the case at all! In particular I had a great experience with Alec, he was really lovely, helpful and kind. Also, the location is amazing, a short walk to the train and the full downtown experience. Nice cafe lobby area with wifi as well. Well-done Blue Moon!

Horrible. Absolutely Horrible. Terrible. Absolutely Terrible.

Blue Moon Hotel was our first time to stay on the Lower East Side. Convenient to metro stops, Little Italy, China Town etc. Easy to get around. Hotel was neat, clean , and room spacious. Only downside was there was no coffee available in room or anywhere. Also no cups or glasses in room. Coffee shop in lobby but it wasn't open one day.

They treat me kind. I loved the room, it was clean, they provided a towel, shampoo, soap. Breakfast was not included.

rude hotel staff and cafe staff. mixed facility. some hotel rooms were converted into multiple bed hostel rooms. mexican kitchen staff is a pervert and tried to come on to me. not recommended for single female traveller. the people employed at the facility are undocumented immigrants and low income / low class / low education

Staff were lovely. My reservation was messed up and they wanted to put 75 year old me in a room with five others of mixed genders. I complained and was promised an upgrade to a 3 bed room. That worked for the first night. Came back after breakfast to find that one of the beds had boldeen removed and they were putting together a bunk bed. I complained and was told that my bed, too, would be removed for bunk beds. I said, no way - can't sleep in one of those (short mattress and have to duck down to get into it). They finally agreed to leave my bed alone for the second night.

P7th floor perfect room. Elevator broken so made terrible 7 floor walk but room worth it.

Very comfortable for 6 people. Very pretty room and the housekeeping staff did an amazing job each day.

We stayed in the Fannie Brice room in the Blue Moon hotel. It was an excellent room for a group of 6 with 1 king bed and 4 singles. Front desk staff presents as disinterested most times and breakfast was nothing to write home about but the hotel is clean and in a great location. We will stay there again.

Was a lovely hotel. The staff were wonderful. Very helpful and accommodating. They helped us with restaurant recommendations, directions, and were very pleasant and nice. The hotel was located just two blocks from the subway and located in a very nice area with lots of food options.

The staff of 2 at the hotel was awesome. Very attentive and caring. Less populated location but you feel very secure there given their procedure with the room key access. The rooms are old fashion but very clean and comfortable enough. Very good value for the cost.

This is not a luxury hotel with a wide list of amenities. It is an affordable small hotel (an old building that was rehabbed into a hotel) on the Lower east Side near SoHo, which is where we wanted to stay. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Let me repeat that. They were extremely nice. Also, they have a parking deal a few blocks from hotel that is very reasonable for NYC.

Excellent stay at the Blue Moon Hotel! From the gracious hospitality and helpfulness of the wonderful staff to the warm bed-and-breakfast like atmosphere, this accommodation is a real find! In particular, for visitors seeking to explore the fascinating neighborhoods in the Lower East Side as well as the historic sites of downtown Manhattan and Battery Park, this is an ideal location from which to embark. The thoughtful extra touches of a NY-style breakfast to a glass of wine in the afternoon further enhance the overall delightful guest experience. Looking forward to returning to Blue Moon!!

Cozy hotel in Chinatown/LowerEast Side. Allowing for New York's absurd prices, it can be a pretty good value. Our only real complaint was the lack of lighting in the room: there was one dim lamp and glaring overhead spots -- two people couldn't read in bed. Fix that and you've got something going on!

Virtually nothing worked in my room, TV, A?C, Fridge, hot water, all needed service. The room was filthy, bathroom disgusting. One person works there and knows nothing. This is a dive and should not be on your list ever.

Clean and comfy, pleasant staff, nice continental breakfast. Very convenient to the Tenement Museum across the street. Reasonable parking in a garage a short distance away. Within walking distance of Little Italy and parts of Chinatown. Several restaurants nearby. Enjoyed our stay, would go back again when visiting lower Manhattan..
