It was a great hotel. I thought it would be loud since my room was right next to the LIRR but it was pretty muted for being right next to it. The bathroom was amazing. The only problem was when I called the front desk in the morning. I was asking where the free breakfast was and the woman was just being blunt. I understand that it was really where she said it was but it could have been worded differently. Other than that everything was very pleasant.

This isn't as close to the Barclay's Center as the title leads you to believe. Good - It's a short cab ride to Barclay's Center, the staff is nice, there is free parking (albeit a limited number of spaces) and the breakfast is good. Bad - EL runs right in front of hotel.

The hotel was very clean and close to everything that we needed. Upon check in everything went swiftly and both girls at the desk were warm and friendly. One of the girls even suggested a great Caribbean restaurant for my and my friends to eat from. And the breakfast was great, not just cereal but the whole nine, eggs, sausage, fruits, oatmeal, pastries..etc.. it was just awesome especially for the money. I would def stay again in the future if I am doing anything in the Brooklyn area. Nicely kept facility and I hope it stays this way. Thank you Best Western and staff :)

Would recommend this to friends and family. Nice to stay. Staff was helpful with reservation and easy check in. No complaints. Close to major attractions friends wanted to visit. Traveled there for the weekend.

The staff was great, breakfast was OK, room was small but clean, and the halls were full of kids playing from early in the morning until the afternoon. Location is sketchy. No place to really walk to and feel safe. Very industrial

Very new and clean hotel. Had free Wi-Fi nice breakfast bar, but very limited parking. Location was an easy walk to the subway, but felt uncomfortable in this neighborhood.

The hotel was clean and almost new. The air condition was little too loud, continental breakfast was good, parking was hard. Overall, a good stay in NY during holiday 4th of July. Convenience location.

The hotel was very clean staff was amazing no issues money well spent

The hotel was quiet and the room was very comfortable and reminiscent of home. I was surprised that the temperature was set perfectly when I walked in.

It's a nice Hotel. Breakfast was good,All staff was good, room was cleaned. Overall it a very good hotle

This kind of hotel worth 80/day but the price was 130, plus taxes and fees which was more than 150/day. I was looking for something around 100, but cannot find one. I remembered I lived in a hotel in NY at 100 several years ago, but at some place I needed to first take a bus and then metro to downtown. This location is just 40 minutes by metro, which is good. Parking space about 10 spots, so if you arrive late, you'll have to park on the street.

I love the location! It is convenient to public transportation and everything you want to eat. If you are open to traveling and being apart of the neighborhood then this is the hotel for you. The parking is very limited especially since parking is not available on street immediate in front of the hotel. I found myself hurrying to return to the hotel to get a parking spot because I definitely wasn't going to look for a spot. (left NY for this same reason.) I felt safe, the water was hot, and the front desk staff was nice and accommodating.

I enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Arena last weekend. Both my grown kids live in Brooklyn and the hotel was very convenient to the subway. My son stayed with me and we enjoyed the super comfortable beds and the wonderful breakfasts in the morning! The rooms were very clean and the bathrooms also very nice. I would deffinately stay there again!

It seemed to me that this would have been a pretty good place to stay, coming to town to see family in Brooklyn. Yes, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, the hotel advertises itself as a non-smoking hotel...and the first night when I went up to my floor there was strong cigarette smoke in that hallway. I thought to myself (I was very tired) that perhaps it was only my room which was non-smoking and I didn't make a big deal about it. However, the second day that there was choking smoke in the hallway as well as in my room, I called down to the desk and someone came up to my room and agreed that it was horrible and agreed that 'someone would look into it". I spent a very difficult night. My son was with me as well and confirmed that the smoke was very strong. The next morning when I went to the desk they denied that it had even happened -- that there had ever been smoke there. The neighborhood was not nearly as safe as I had expected -- which is not the fault of the hotel but it is what it is. I wish I could stay there again but because of the smoking and the staff response, I am sorry but I cannot.

We felt very safe there, in part because it's a relatively small hotel. Better hotels in Manhattan have not felt as safe to me. The staff was warm and helpful, especially Chantill, who was smart and a real professional. Bathroom was all shiny white tile, and immaculate. Yes, the subway was noisy, but you expect that in New York. I recommend this hotel without hesitation. My 85 year old mother loved it.

While there is free parking, it is very limited. There is a pay garage nearby, but we were able to find on-street parking by walking a couple of blocks. The front of the hotel faces an elevated train track and the immediate neighborhood is "authentic" (ie not yuppified), commercial, noisy, busy. That said, the hotel itself was quiet and clean and the staff could not have been more helpful. We were a 25 minute brisk walk from Prospect Park and the Botanical Gardens, and the hotel is literally on a Subway line. While considerably more expensive Brooklyn hotels may have more character, or be in the heart of the renaissance areas, you'd be hard put to find better value and a cleaner, more comfortable room or a more helpful staff. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved the staff! They went way beyond what would usually be expected. However, the carpet in the entry and in the hallways was very dirty. The motel wasn't that old but if they don't maintain it, it will become rundown soon. The other issue was the standing water in the parking lot which only held 10 cars. We were fortunate to get one. To their credit, they had made arrangements to bring our car around to the front of the motel, but we weren't aware of that until after my husband waded through six inches of water. Again, the staff was more than accommodating in every way, and very pleasant. By the way, we LOVE New Yorkers, so the area was more fascinating than scary for us.

We came from Portland OR to help our son with the newborn baby. This hotel was chosen because we had very good experience in Best Western in OR and it was 2 miles from our son's location. The worst was that 2 nights in a row, at 4 am the false fire alarm was sounding for 10 -15 min waiking us up after a very difficult day. First night nobody explained that it was the false fire alarm, adding confusion. The staff in the morning said that it was fixed, but apparently, it was not the case because next night it happened again at the same time and the same duration. The lobby's carpet was always dirty and our bathroom cleaning was somewhat mediocre. Our experience with Bards Inn Best Western in Ashland Oregon was exceptionally good, and we naively thought that Best Western quality is the same everywhere, which unfortunatelly, is not the case.

It was a modern and clean hotel tucked in Brooklyn!

The hotel was modern and nice. Tucked right away in Brooklyn. Walking distance from the subway, restaurants, and shopping. I was truly surprised and will definitely be coming back. A plus was the complimentary robe and slippers!
