It was perfect for my trip, the rooms are very small, but if you plan on being out a lot it is perfect! Very quiet too.

They upgraded our room. It had 3 tvs for 2 people. It was larger than we anticipated and very clean. The staff was excellent and helped in any way possible.

I have stayed several times and each experience has been positive. As the weather is getting warmer, the outside 6th floor is my favorite!

I'm a NY'er and live in the neighborhood. My out-of-town friend and I decided to rent a room rather for the weekend. Tracy at the front desk is awesome! She was warm, friendly, and welcoming. She got me checked in efficiently and let me know about the amenities that the hotel offered. I travel frequently and stay in a lot of hotels. Tracy is the best front desk agent I've dealt with in a L-O-N-G time! The main doors aren't wheelchair accessible. I have an injured foot and on crutches; coming and going was very difficult. The bathroom had hair all over the place, including long dark strands on the floors and walls. And the hot water didn't work in the shower the first night we were there. They have a coffee station on the 6th floor with access to an outdoor patio. It was great out there but looked like housekeeping needs to do regular checkups to put the pillows and seat cushions back in place. Would I stay here again? Yea, once my foot heals and I'm off of the crutches because the front entrance with no ramp was a nightmare.

Very friendly staff. Excellent accommodations. Superb location. Would highly recommend.

It was super clean. We did not mind the very smallness of the room. It was cozy, clean and had everything we needed. Coffee choices were great in there upstairs lounge.

This was perfect for what I needed it for ... a place to sleep and get cleaned up. (the rooms are small) Super cute, felt very safe, staff was friendly and helpful, surprisingly quiet. If I had to make a quick trip to NY again, I would happily stay here again. Great walkable restaurants and bakeries nearby.

This hotel is a gem! Very friendly/accomodating staff, clean rooms, nice coffee room and central location. Small but just what we need for a weekend in NYC.

We stayed at the Belnord for a week in October 2021 and were very impressed. It will be our first choice next time we need a hotel in NYC. Do not be put off by the reviews talking about the City of NYC utilizing this hotel as a homeless shelter during the pandemic. That is no longer going on, and the hotel is clean, comfortable, very reasonable in price, and in a terrific location. It is a short walk to Central Park and the American Museum of Natural history. The Metropolitan Museum of Art is just a walk across Central Park. The neighborhood is full of shops and good restaurants. The staff were professional and courteous. The rooms are small, but not bad by Manhattan standards. They are also well designed, so we never felt cramped. We had two twin beds, and there is room under the beds for suitcases and a two drawer dresser built into the end of the bed. The other side of the room (see photos I posted on this site) includes a small desk, good size TV on the wall, two comfortable chairs, two small footstool/tables, a small area to hang clothes, a refrigerator, and a safe for valuables. On the 6th floor, there is a small kitchen area open to guests with a coffee maker, microwave, a larger fridge you can put your own food in, and small seating area. There is also a pleasant roof-top patio with lots of seating. This is a wonderful small hotel in a great area for an unbeatable price. Don't pass it up!

Simple, no fuss, exceptionally reasonable price, very quiet, close to both the subway and the best food in the world. I'm coming back soon.

Rooms very micely decorated and clean but small .. as expected for the low price

Great upper west side neighborhood location of the hotel. Convenience to this neighborhood and subway 1 block away. Rooms are pathetically small. This is fine if you are not expecting to spend much time in the room. Regular size bathroom. Small elevator so you may want to take the stairs. Clean hotel and rooms which is important especially in 2021. Barebones hotel with free coffee and outdoor terrace, otherwise no amenities.

A charming small boutique hotel. Delightful in every way

Good price, clean, good H2O pressure in the shower, nice location (near AMNH)

Brand new updates, clean and comfortable eoom (small but affirdable, i was happy with the value).
