This was by far the one of the worst the price was $85.00 more than what we had booked online, the towels for showering was stained, the bathroom light u had 2 turn switch on then flick the light for it to come on. Never can find any staff
We decided to stay here despite reading some bad reviews, after all how bad could it be? The Windsor Motel is without a doubt the worst place I ever stayed! When we checked in, the office smelled like a combination of locker room a a swamp. The was a dirty mop and bucket off to one side. Thankfully the room didn't smell but the flat screen TV was the only thing that looked like it had been replaced since the early 1970's! The night tables were scuffed and water? Stained. The bed had a top and bottom sheet that appeared clean, but there was no mattress pad or protector. The were 3 windows in the room. The front ground level window that faced the parking lot had drapes that had to be held together with paper clips to ensure privacy. The other 2 windows facing the back had locking mechanisms that were broken and could not be locked. The small refrigerator and filthy microwave were plugged into an ancient outlet strip. The bathroom was very dirty...one of the white bath towels had a yellowish tint and there was an old accumulation of dust and crud on the mounding above the lower wall tiles. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else! I would give it a negative score if possible!
the windsor motel is convient for a wedding overnight ...for anthonys pier 9..which is accross the street ..it is a basic motel ..clean ..also if you are visiting west point this is a good cheap motel..
This was the nastiest place I have ever stayed. Bugs and hair in the bathroom, sticky floor, blood on the bed cover, no curtain on bathroom window, It looked like half the people that stayed there lived there, and very out dated. It wasn't all that cheap either!
Outdated clean great for cheap night continental breakfast was ok great for the price.was greeted by geese in parking lot nice touch.walking distance to Anthonys pier 9 1/3 of price offered by venue that has a shuttle was a back at hotel before shuttle even left for hotel.
Rooms were not cramped bathroom good size everythin cleaned good aray for breakfast.would have been nice if some fruit was offered. front desk was hard to find some1 there but once found was helpful. housekeeping was very helpful went out of her way to make sur we had everythin she doubled check on us in the even to see if we found the place she recommeneded to eat nice touch. we brought snacks so fridge n microwave came in handy. a bit noisy she took care of tht parkin rite in front was good. plenty of sites in the area to see . overall a nice stay.
I stay in 50-75 motels a year. Thousands over the years. I have found the new "Worst Hotel in North America" No... the worst in the universe. The riff raff that rolls into this place will put your life in danger. The people next door to us probably committed murder within hours after we left. There must have been 8 living creatures in the room (people, dogs, wolverines... serial killers...) they kept screaming and beating each other well into the night. The people next door were actually the highlight of the Windsor tour. The room stunk of dead bodies (there might have been some underneath the moldy carpet). Everything was dirty, the drapes hung halfway off the broken rod, the sheets didn't fit the bed, the mattress had the fluff of a dumpster. The mattress had a sleep number of... waterboarding?... kill me now?... we finally left the raging dump at 2:00 am fearing for our lives. The manager wouldn't refund the money until I told him to call the cops before the people next door kill each other. If this room was a free place to stay I would probably rather just go lay in the highway. DON'T STAY HERE UNLESS YOU ARE STEPHEN KING AND YOU ARE LOOKING FOR INSPIRATION!
Stayed for one night. Everything was just really old and dirty. Flies were in the room. Needs a complete overhaul. Many questionable characters hanging around outside. Would sleep in my car next time.
Nice hotel. Rooms were clean and decent sized. Bed was comfortable. A refridge, microwave are included in rooms. Hair dryer and iron/ironboard are at front desk. All staff we encountered were very nice. Conveniently located near highway, making it easy to get to and from the various attractions in the surrounding areas. Despite the highway so close, we didn't hear much noise from it. Breakfast was included which consisted of bagels, donuts, cereal, coffee and juice. Would definitely recommend staying there.
One of the worst places I've ever stayed. Not just because it needs major renovations, but because it is filthy and unkempt in a way that shows complete lack of interest on the part of the owners. A few cleaning supplies and 15 minutes of effort could have transformed my room to something modest but decent. I decided to stay for the one night I had booked. Just too tired to search for something else. Here's what I liked and/or didn't have a problem with: 1. Room size. Large room with 2 beds (full, not queen I think), a table with 2 chairs, nightstand, dresser, microwave, and a bar-sized fridge (bigger than a typical cube mini fridge). Clothing rack with hangers. TV (although I didn't use it). 2. Bathroom size. Plenty big for one person. 3. Noise level. Was quiet on a Saturday night. 4. Air conditioner. Worked great! 5. Bed. Felt fine. Not great. 6. Hot water in shower. Great. No waiting. 7. Wifi. Worked well most of the time. 8. Parking not a problem. The bad stuff: 1. Curb appeal. Non existent. Really looks like a dump from the outside. Lots of untrimmed bushes. Never had any problem with the guests who were obviously living there permanently, but if it bothers you to see people drying laundry outside a motel room, this ain't the place for you. 2. Seriously dirty, unattended room. Shower stall with lots of mold in the grout. Rusty, rotting fixtures. Reading lamp above bed missing bulb. Threadbare blankets with cigarette burns. Dresser mirror on floor for some reason. Stinky. 3. No chain lock on door. 4. No "do not disturb sign" for door. 5. No electrical outlet in bathroom. I paid about $70 to stay here. I'm sure I could have done better. Live and learn.
