This was my family's first time traveling to New Orleans to attend the Billie Eilish concert. When I booked this hotel, I let the hotel know it was for my daughter's 13th Birthday, and they said they would be “happy to provide a small birthday amenity.” This did not happen, and it was disappointing. The room wasn’t as clean as it could be; there were dirt/scuff marks on the walls, curtains, and spots on the headboards. I didn’t want to sour my daughter's birthday celebration by switching rooms, so we made the best of it and cleaned the room ourselves. The rooftop views, the self-serve water, and the location were great. We didn’t use the restaurant, bars, or the hotel pool. The location was within walking distance to great restaurants, a CVS, a grocery store, and other conveniences. If we’re in the area again, I don’t think I would book this hotel solely because of its cleanliness and oversight of our daughter's birthday. These were missed opportunities.

We absolutely loved our stay at Virgin Hotels New Orleans! Everything was incredibly clean and well maintained. The whole hotel has such a cool, vintage vibe that really stands out from other places we’ve stayed. The staff was so kind, helpful, and accommodating from start to finish. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests. We’ll definitely be coming back here the next time we’re in New Orleans — highly recommend!

The staff were great, the hotel was top notch. The food was really good. Some people prefer a soft bed, and every room might not have the same type of bed, but my bed was so soft it didn't seem like the mattress was all that thick. This might not be good for some people so I wanted to mention it. Not a deal breaker, just not comfortable for me.

The room was well appointed and we loved the separate dressing room, toilet and shower. The shower was a great size with fabulous water pressure and temperature! The stand out for this trip was the wonderful Latrell on reception. He was so welcoming and helpful - the perfect host for our check in and checked on us during our stay. He completely elevated the experience, especially as we felt let down that housekeeping only sorted our room for half the days we stayed!
