A little outside the city, budget friendly hotel. Free parking is a bonus. Beds are comfortable with big, fluffy pillows. An easy and inexpensive Uber rise can take you into "town" in minutes. Hotel is on the older side without an abundance of "modern" technology but still quite nice. Have stayed here several times and have never had an issue. Also, just as few minutes walk to Dooky Chase's and Willie Mae's Scotch House.
Was not sure what to expect really, having read various tourist advice for the area and when i first arrived the lady on reception was abrupt but once seen my ID and Credit Card warmed, shown to all the kitchen and laundry and given details of the hotel. Room was clean, large and bed comfortable, cleaned each day to a good standard. asked if safe to walk at night and assured it was and sure enough it is, no issues back and forth to Bourbon street etc. Walk to Bourbon street is 20 mins about 25/30 to the rive and french market just turn left then right to St Phillips and keep going. The hotel does not have a lift so it is stairs to the second floor and the floors are hard so noise can travel if other residents are not light footed, all in all, its great value for the area and i will consider when i come back.
I spent only 2 nights at this location and it suited my requirements though a little further out of the French Quarter than I expected. Accommodation is a bit above Motel6 standard and I would probably not want an extended stay.It does have the advantage of off street parking .
I live in Baton Rouge and I spend a long weekend or at least do an over night in New Orleans I at least once a month for the the past 15 years or so. I’ve stayed in a wide variety of New Orleans hotels from the exquisite Hotel Monteleone to the horrific Empress Hotel. Although I intentionally seek out a different venue each time I go, I have never stayed at the Treme Hotel. I must admit that my assumptions about the Hotel, the neighborhood , the pictures of the exterior and the “too good to be true” rates lead me to look over this awesome budget hotel until last weekend. I’m pleased to report that my assumptions were false and the only thing I regret is that I hadn’t given this Hotel a shot in the past. Free parking in a secure feeling lot, extremely clean room, exceptionally knowledgeable, helpful and friendly staff, and above average continental breakfast, a quiet and pleasant environment and only about a $5 Lyft ride away from most of the major destinations. I arrived at the hotel 2 hours before checking with a group of friends in tow to celebrate a birthday. We were able to start the party early because we were able to leave our things and, park for free and head out for the day. We returned and left that night two more times and each time we felt safe and warmly welcomed. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a lot in exchange for a little price.
This morning Sun 7/15@ about 8am I was checking my credit card account to find that the hotel charged me a $10 cancellation fee for a booking I cancelled almost 1 year ago, when I called the hotel to question the charge the nasty women that answered the phone was rude and obnoxious. She pissed me off and unfortunately I didn't get her name, but management needs to replace her she doesn't belong at the reception counter.I would not stay here now if THEY paid ME
The staff at Treme were extremely friendly and helpful. The room nice and was a decent size, except the bed was not that comfortable. It was about a 10min walk to Louis Armstrong Park and another 5mins to heart of the French quarter, however, you need to go via an highway underpass, which was a little unsettling at night. The surrounding area was nice though and felt safe. The free parking on site was convenient as well. They offer free breakfast on weekends only, but they have a free laundry facility (byo detergent) which is nice.
Do not believe the other reviews. This is the worst hotel I've ever been to (It shouldn't be called a hotel it should be called a motel). WE FOUND PUBIC HAIR ON THE TOWELS!!!!!! The sheets were dirty, they had no coffee (even though they claim to have coffee). The location is scary and the building is very old. The hallway to get to the rooms is extremely narrow. Had a very bad experience and would not recommend visiting there.
Nice small hotel in The Treme for a good price. Close in to the Quarter maybe 15 minute walk, same to Canal Street. Clean nice size room with daily maid service. Will stay there again. Did not have any problems during my stay so did not have much contact with the staff what little I did was nice.
This hotel was so nice and it was in walking distance of everything we had planned. Chase the front desk clerk was Absolutely amazing he was sweet an accommodating. The room was so cute and it came with a regular sized fridge and Microwave. I definitely recommend staying here
I thought the walk to the French Quarter would be a little shorter based on the reviews here, but it wasn't terrible. Just longer than expected. The service was very good throughout our stay. Everyone was very helpful and kind. The breakfast on the weekend was pretty good. Doughnuts, bagels, hard boiled eggs, toast, juices, cereals, and yogurt. The only downside is there was no decaf coffee. Our room was clean and big. We had a king with a pull-out sofa. The pull-out was not very comfortable, a new mattress could have helped because those types of beds are usually terrible anyway. The king bed felt fine despite reviews saying the opposite. The bathroom could use a revamp and some towel racks. We didn't have enough room to hang up all our towels and wash cloths.
