We had a perfect family celebration. Kathy goes way above and beyond to ensure that her guests are supplied with practically anything they could need. We were amazed at the special touches and all the furnishings and supplies right at our fingertips. The comfort of the home is unsurpassed. The pier is awesome and the crab nets and traps, and the kayaks and jon boat were so appreciated. We caught specks and catfish and had a family fish fry. This was a A rental and we will most definitely be back. Thank you Kathy for being such a thoughtful and accommodating hostess!

This was our 2nd year staying at this location. It was absolutely amazing. The weather was great! Fishing off the pier was amazing. So much room and plenty to do. You dont even have to leave the house! We will continue to book every year

The lake house is fabulous. We had all the amenities you could ever want. Everything was very clean and well supplied. The location was ideal ( 40 minutes to New Orleans and 10 minutes to Slidell). We absolutely loved our stay and we are already planning our next trip.

Incredible getaway!

Stayed for an extended weekend at Pelican Pier with my family to kick off the summer. The amenities were amazing. We crabbed and fished all day on the pier and relaxed on the little beach. My daughter and niece had a blast playing in the sand. The host has thought of absolutely everything to provide for a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much!

perfect weekend

We stayed here for my bachelor party and had the best time. Such a great place to hang out. We only planned one day in downtown New orleans and it was very easy to get ubers there and back. House was perfect for 7 people and we probably had room for an 8th. awesome dock and house.

An amazing property in an amazing location!

The property itself is absolutely amazing. The house is comfortable and has everything you'll need (plus more)! The amenities at the property were also top-notch. We enjoyed the pier/pavilion area so much, and our kids loved hanging out on Flamingo Beach. The location of the property was great, too. Half hour from New Orleans/French Quarter, half hour from Slidell (which is a really cute little town with lots of restaurants). We loved it!

Excellent place to chill after a busy day

This was a beautiful property. Everything was extremely clean and the home was stocked well with things one might need. There were fishing rods and even bait which my teens enjoyed using from the end of the dock. After busy days, exploring New Orleans and walking the city it was wonderful to come back to a quiet place and sit on the dock or even the porch. It is truly a getaway but because of that, it is drive to get just about anywhere. Great stay and fantastic communication.

Great peaceful location

Close enough for a day trip to New Orleans, a trip thru the bayou or just spend the day in fishing off the dock. I wanted a water view home that had all of these. This house delivered and more. All amenities were in place as promised. Owner made access so easy.

Pelican Pier is an absolute Gem!

Perfect place for a fishing getaway! The entire property is so thought through! We lost count of the number of fish we caught after the first night - redfish, rainbow & speckled trout, flounder, catfish, sheepshead, and even a couple stingray - such an amazing time. Thanks for the great weekend!

Peaceful Oasis

Pelican Pier was beyond expectations, pictures don't give it full justice, very impressed with everything, rooms, amenities, pier, location, everything. My family and I had an awesome time, if you are looking for some peace and quite with 4 star accommodations, you will not be disappointed with Pelican Pier. Owner was easy to communicate with, she had mentioned due to the recent storm there was some minor repairs needed and some might not be done in time by our arrival, day of arrival she texted all repairs don. Amazing time, will definitely be back.

Best trip ever

This house has everything you need both inside and outside. Super clean also. We didn’t catch too many crabs but lots of fish off the amazing pier. Caught catfish, alligator gar, and even a shark! Close proximity to the boat launch to get out on the water where we went and got some redfish and speckled trout. Highly recommend and hope to be back again soon.

Beautiful house, plenty to do for the whole family

Cathy was a great host- the house was just as beautiful as it looks online. Great location- a short drive into New Orleans, close to restaurants and swamp tours in Slidell. Our family loved exploring the area and spending time at the house fishing. We had a wonderful time!

Family, Kids, and Fishing Paradise

With a family wedding in New Orleans we decided to turn Pelican Peir into our official Spring Break and stayed for a week.... what a great week it was. We are a family of six with kids from 6 thru 11 and this home could not have been better... everything is so well thought out! The man made beach was a HUGE hit for the kiddos and we enjoyed many hours just hanging out in the sand. Our spring breaks are usually at the beach so we were very excited about this and it exceeded expectations. FISHING REPORT: There are several local bait shops (2 within 2 miles), but everyone seems to offer ONLY live shrimp. We began day 1 with the liesimp under a popping cork and landed nothing but catfish (still fun for the kids), but on my visit the water was stirred up so we switched to something with a little more scent.... FRESH CRABS. The house comes with about twenty crab nets that you can simply space out over the 400 ft dock. My 7yo son had the best time all weekend just running up amd down the dock, pulling up the nets, anf catching the crabs (store them in the crab pods). With the fresh blue crab we changed our fishing experiance. Casting straight out from the dock we caught 5 Black Drum in excess of 34", a tasty 26" Red Fish, and my youngest somehow landed a 44" Bull Red! There are six rod holders at the end of the dock... if you have crab out you will catch dum every morning and night (we did). My advice in March is to cast far and deep straight out into the lake... not to the side
