This is the BEST location in New Orleans! The neighborhood also has plenty of outdoor recreational space, with quick access to City Park, Bayou St. John, New Orleans Museum of Art, Fairgrounds, and the Lafitte Greenway. Old-growth oak trees line popular thoroughfares, like Bienville, Banks and Canal streets. If you get hungry, you're just a short walk away from some of the best food in New Orleans :Angelo Brocato, Bayou Beer Garden, Bevi Seafood Co., Brown Butter, Clesi’s, Finn McCool’s Irish Pub, Katie’s, and Mandina’s. Getting Around: Most of the Mid-City area is walking distance to the Canal Streetcar line. It's extremely pedestrian-friendly and bike-friendly. The Lafitte Greenway provides a safe bike and pedestrian corridor connecting to the French Quarter, as does the streetcar, which you are a block away from. You can also easily and cheaply uber or lyft anywhere in the city!
