The staff was so nice here!!! Everyone was helpful and had personality! The room itself was OLD and basic. If you are just looking for a place to rest your tired legs and brain after doing some running around this place is great. If you are looking for a vintage luxury experience I would keep looking. The towels were dingy, they were clean but not the brightest white. You can tell they try to give you a good experience but the maintenance of the building needs work. Itā€™s old and dated. Similar quality of a motel 6 or quality inn. Itā€™s noisey but all of the french quarter is noisy so that is what it is. We stayed in room 216 across the street from the lobby. That was nice because it was downstairs and had a semi closed area so we could keep a close eye on our little pup who joined us on our trip, but also a bit noisey cause itā€™s right by the hall everyone needs to pass to exit through a gate that slams shut every time anyone enters or exits. They had coffee in the lobby every morning and everyone was so positive and friendly our entire stay. Very welcoming. If it wasnā€™t for the incredible staff this hotel wouldnā€™t have been given the 3 stars. Keep all those people!

This property is not safe for solo female travelers. I was placed in the ā€œresidencesā€ across the street from the main hotel, and the experience was deeply concerning. The room I was given had a strong, unpleasant odor that smelled like water damage or animal urine, making it feel unsanitary and poorly maintained. More importantly, the security on that side of the property was inadequate. The gated entrance that is supposed to restrict access did not automatically close or lock. During the short time I was there (about one hour), I watched multiple people walk in and out without any access control because the gate was left standing open. Guests had to manually close it, which many did not. The surrounding area had a noticeable amount of foot traffic from non-guests, including people walking around and drinking, which makes the lack of a secure, self-locking gate especially concerning. The room doors also felt thin and not very secure for a space that is separated from the main hotel. Because I did not feel safe, I chose to leave and find other accommodations. As a solo female traveler, personal safety should always be a hotelā€™s top priority. Given the combination of poor room conditions and weak security, I would strongly advise other women traveling alone to avoid this property.

Worst experience dealing with the staff there my wife broke her ankle a week before we were supposed to go and stay there. I contacted them as well as Expedia. Expedia said it was up to the hotel to give approval for a refund and the hotel flat out denied it I tried to reason with the hotel to explain to them that my wife broke her ankle. Thereā€™s no way we could go and they had no sympathy at all and just said that was their rule and they wouldnā€™t give a refund.

This is a beautiful hotel! Staff were wonderful! They do a great job of dealing with the parking crunch in The French Quarter. The pools were nice, the buildings and walkways have an amazing, historic atmosphere which is just what we were looking for! We were within walking distance to all of French Quarter and used the Le Pass app to ride the trolley, bus, and ferry to get around to the further away locations. Highly recommend this hotel!
