Frenchmen Orleans at 519 was the perfect place for us to stay during our first trip to NOLA! Location - Perfect! (Within walking distance to the French Quarter. Directly within the Jazz District so lots of night life with live music right outside your door). Customer service - Excellent! (Staff were helpful in storing luggage and delivering it to our room for us. Staff was extremely knowledgeable about the area attractions, and dining options and were happy to share info.) Amenities - Awesome! Live music right outside your door and you're able to enjoy from the comfort of the awesome shared balconies of the resort. (It is loud because Frenchman St. bars and music continue into the early morning, however, we brought white noise machines and had no difficulty sleeping). We loved staying at Frenchmen Orleans 519!
Very good if you like to party every night. Right across the street. Bring earplug if you want to sleep before 4 am. It's battle of the bands from 930 pm til 4 am. 3 nightclubs with the doors open and a street band competing for your attention.
Festiva's property is small (about 20 units) and is being completely renovated with all new furniture and comfortable king sized beds. It is directly across the street from several bars that all had various venues of all types of music. The property has an attractive courtyard and all units are protected by a security gate with a touchpad entry system out front. A swimming pool and hot tub are at the back of the property. We especially enjoyed a group of about 8-10 energetic, neighborhood musicians that came out and played on the street corner each evening for about an hour or so. (Don’t worry though as all that ends by 10pm and everyone moves inside for the rest of the evening.) The property is on the east side of the French Quarter, yet only a few blocks walk to the baldy Burbon Street scene. You can also catch a trolley about three blocks away at the French Market and ride it to Canal St., the cemeteries, or the Garden District. There is a great little cafe about two blocks up Decatur called Envie that has excellent breakfasts, both pastries and hot meals. We ate there every morning and planned our day. There are also lots of other restaurants and shops within a block of the property. Nights become a little sketchy like the rest of the Quarter, but with all the people around we felt quite safe in the neighborhood. (We are in our 60s.). We normally headed back to our room about 10:30 pm when things seemed to be just getting started in the bars, but the noise of the street never bothered us. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Frenchmen Orleans 519 and would definitely stay there again!
This hotel is located conveniently near all the action of the French Quarter. Super comfortable beds, the best sleep I've ever had in a hotel. The kitchen has everything you need to to cook your own meals. It was so lovely to sit on the balcony after a busy day of exploring the city and enjoy the music from the local bars. Couldn't have picked a better place to stay for Mardi Grad and will definitely come back!!!
This location is in the now developing Frenchman Street area of clubs and restaurants. This was not our first time to New Orleans and the change to this area is substantial. This resort offers the convenience of close to the Quarter, but yet out enough to make it relaxing. The staff is fantastic, and again I can not say enough about , location, location, location, and price
Have gone many times and will continue to go back. Love the staff, the rooms, the ease of walking to the French Quarter! Parking is simple and the entire place just feels secure. Love to watch the local life from the balconies
Great Location. Right in the heart of the city. You can walk to everything. We felt perfectly safe and had so much fun. If you like great food/drink and music this is the place for you. We went in not knowing anything and I would definitely go back to the same hotel. Yes it is noisy due to live music and lots of people having a good time out in the streets. It goes on till 2-3 am. But we loved it. There is a nice balcony to sit on and watch the action.
We recently stayed at the Frenchman Orleans at 519 while visiting New Orleans and this little hidden gem was more than we could have asked for. We had a one room suite with a full kitchen and living area. It is located just outside of the hustle and bustle of the quarter but still close enough to be there in minutes. The staff was friendly and always willing to go the extra mile for us. This trip was for both business and pleasure and I highly recommend giving this place a try on your next stay in the Big Easy!
Located on Frenchman Street with amazing music and restaurants, this is a great choice. If you are a light sleeper, Frenchman Street is probably not for you, for us it was perfect! The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with everything. The entire staff was so helpful and friendly! The weather was unseasonably cold so we did not get a chance to use the pool and hot tub but can't wait to stay again and will certainly take a dip. We had such a wonderful stay. We loved our stay at Frenchmen Orleans! Everything was wonderful from checking in to checking out. We stayed in room 206 and it was furnished with all we needed. The street could get a little noisy but it did not affect our ability to sleep. We had no complaints! It is a great place to stay and if we ever go back, we will stay there again.
