We loved our stay at Frenchmen Orleans! Everything was wonderful from checking in to checking out. We stayed in room 206 and it was furnished with all we needed. The street could get a little noisy but it did not affect our ability to sleep. We had no complaints! It is a great place to stay and if we ever go back, we will stay there again.
With a 16 month old, having the extra space and appliances were key! The location was fantastic, right in the middle of all the action on Frenchmen street. There is a lot of noise with the crowds and live music at night, but from our room, it was mostly a faint murmur and we had no trouble sleeping.
I want to stay at Frenchmen Orleans every trip to NOLA now! We had a group of 12 staying 3 nights for my 30th birthday. We had two of the two bedroom apartments. Both fit 6 easily and comfortably. Plenty of space in each apartment. Randy and Ryan at the front desk were fantastic! They held all 12 of our bags before we could check in so we could start exploring the city early and after we checked out since we had a later in the evening flight back. Check in and check out was simply and easy. No complaints at all! We especially loved the two community balconies to sit and overlook Frenchmen. So many places to eat and drink in walking distance. We will definitely be back!
The first night we walked out onto the street, we were excited to be on the party street. It was very exciting to be IN the party street just outside. I do recommend having earplugs to sleep at night. A small price for the location. wife had a greet week stay there...
Great location if you want to be in the middle of everything or like to people watch from above. This is right in the middle of Frenchmen Street with live music & food in every direction. There is a security guard on weekends or special events (we were there for Halloween) & he keeps people off the property all night. It is gated & you need the code to get to your room so we felt very safe. It can be loud but we had no problems falling asleep as we walked all day/everyday. Room was clean, master bed was comfy, bathroom was shared by 6 people but we had no issues.
Couldn’t of chosen a better hotel to stay in. The 2 bedroom apartment was spacious for the 3 of us and the beds were so comfortable I need this mattress. Walk outside and you are on Frenchman which is just pure Jazz Music such a great example of what New Orleans is. Yes you can here the music from your room but haho saves putting the radio on as your listening to it live. Walking distance of Bourbon Street and the Mississippi I would highly recommend this hotel all staff were friendly and helpful even recommending were to stand to get the better views of the Krewe of Boo parade.
This resort is right on frenchmen street in the heart of jazz music. The 2 bedroom units are super loud and you will hear the music until 2:30am every morning. They also start cleaning up trash around 4:30am most days. I was told by other guests that the 1 bedrooms were not as loud. It was nice to have a shared deck and just still and enjoy the people watching and music. The pool was small but very nice and well kept.
This hotel is in a great location, away from the madness of Bourbon street, but right in the heart of Frenchmen street amongst all of the clubs and bars. The rooms were very spacious with a full kitchen and decent sized lounge room. We made good use of the pool in the September heat. If you are a light sleeper, I would definitely ask to be put in one of the back rooms. We were right on the street and could hear the music REALLY loudly until the early hours of the morning. This wasn't a problem for us, but I imagine it would be for others. Also, if you are expecting super-modern, Marriott-style hotel rooms, this would probably also not be the place for you as the rooms are older and not kept to that level of standard. However, for the price and location, we thought it was an excellent place to stay and would definitely be back.
Loved my vacation to Nola this year. Frenchmen 519 was a really great location, right in the heart of the French Quarter. There were great restaurants within just a few feet of the hotel. It had a old school Nola vibe. It was very relaxing and I enjoyed my stay.
If you are an owner through Festiva and pay outrageous maintenance fees, you need to be aware of how poorly Frenchmen Orleans is being taken care of! It was horrible! Furnishings are stained and mismatched, horrible water pressure and showers break, tables and chairs are in horrible condition. I killed a huge roach on the wall and where there is one there is usually more. Light switches do not work and lights are not replaced. Be sure to complain!
