I stayed here 4/11 through the morning of 4/14/19. What an experience!! I loved the homeyness of it. I got to stay in the Gone with the Wind room. It was phenomenal. They actually have a storage trunk for the Twelve Oaks Ball in the bathroom. The staff was very courteous and always made me feel welcome. I recommend this B&B for anyone looking for something different than a typical hotel/motel. Thanks to all of you who made my stay so very special!!
Stayed here from 23 - 30 Mar 2019 and for one night on 05 Apr 2019, prior to our return flight home. Was made to feel very welcome on arrival like old friends returning after a long time. Taxi was arranged for us to go to Banana Court Yard and then to the airport on our return. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Mary and Hugh for a wonderful visit, all the help and advice on places and things to see. Hope to be back in the future.
Disappointed. Very cluttered B&B to the point where you could smell the dust. Best sheets were stained and there was never anyone around. Carried our luggage up and down all the stairs. Staff made quite a fuss when we checked in over carrying our luggage. Location was good but too messy for us!
My husband and I stayed here while on vacation in the Gone With Tge Wind room! What a beautiful room! It was a great place, wonderful people very friendly and informative about the city. Everything they suggested was perfect! I can’t say enough about the wonderful stay here! I would stay here again if I ever get to go back to New Orleans!!
I had a balcony room and I really enjoyed it. I had a little table outside my door so I could sit and enjoy the New Orleans weather. Also, the staff was friendly which is always nice. Breakfast was fresh pastries and I had probably the best apply pastry of my life.
Overall positive stay here. Booking can be a bit of a issue--despite booking online required several emails and phone calls to confirm details. The delightful owners by their own admission still run an essentially pencil and paper
This was our second stay here. I love staying here because they treat you like family!! We met people from all over the world! Also they have a great driver they work with, Stanley. He is the best! Tells you about the city and events going on while he is taking you there. We will definitely stay here again! It's like our home away from home! Thanks Mary and Hugh!!
Fantastic service, lovely staff, home like atmosphere. Great place to stay. Walking distance to French quarter. Beautiful cozy rooms. Will definitely stay again if we come to New Orleans again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
I can’t even begin to describe how much I loved staying at the Banana Courtyard. From the excellent communication months in advance to Stanley (the airport shuttle/ amazing human) to the hosts who are warm, inviting and super helpful to the kind and sweet staff. It all made my NOLA experience so special. Thanks Mary for all the lovely chats over wine! I’ll be back.
Everyone - from owners to staff to airport shuttle drivers - were very nice and go out of their way to make the guests feel welcome. I slept well there and the breakfast was generous. It is safe, clean, extremely unique decor... it’s like staying in an antique gallery with all the odds-and-ends on display. I would go back!
