Residence Inn Shelton CT June 24 2017 I don't even know where to begin. 1) if you have housekeeping in charge of the pool area policing it, maybe a lesson in dealing with children should be involved? Or people in general?  I fully understand it is the summer and the facilities are in high demand.  We were actually just visiting a friend staying in the hotel. On vacation with children. A woman advised us that they needed bracelets to use the pool area. The first time she asked there was no one in the pool. After basically kicking an 11 year old. I used points to get a room. We used the bathroom to change and went home for the evening as planned. I contacted the property early in the morning and asked for a late check out as we planned to return around lunch time. I was offered a 1 pm check out. We get back to the hotel about 1145 and a maid was in the room. When I asked I was advised that I could no longer have a late checkout so we went back to the pool area with our bracelets where the same woman proceeded to come and tell us we had to leave. This time with bracelets and 2 other children in the pool including the person we were visiting. It was honestly the most horrific experience I've ever had. Other than this atrocious woman and this horrific policy the remainder of the staff was great.  Oh and because she was basically singling people out she was at least consistent. 4 other guests had to return to the front desk to get bracelets. Including a woman who checked in over a month ago who is on the property for 3 months. So I'm sure you will hear additional complaints. So basically if you have kids and they have friends this property is not for you.

The room was spacious and has potential However, it is in need of a remodel. The carpets were worn in several places. To the extent that there were a few bear spots. The furniture is dated, but clean. The kitchen was adequate. The beds were comfortable

I stayed at this location for about 3 weeks and cannot say enough. Absolutely superb. The rooms are spacious, with kitchenettes, coin operated laundry on site and a fabulous breakfast. They also have shuttles to nearby places for free. The staff are incredibly friendly and ready to help you out. Would return without the blink of an eye.

Facilities need some updating, breakfast was basic, accomodations were okay, shower drain was not operating properly and location of shower is tight to navigate if you wan to access towards the back. Staff is friendlyShelton

We spent 2 nights here over a weekend in a studio. There wasn't anything that we needed that wasn't provided for us. We had a great kitchen and table/island area. The king size bed was comfortable and had good quality bedding. The property was well laid out and very well kept. It was one of the quietest places we have ever stayed. WD saw our neighbors occasionally but never heard them. The staff was very nice. The breakfast choices were numerous and all were fresh and nicely presented. This was our first experience with a Residence Inn facility but it won't be our last. We found it to be a first rate place to stay.

We spent only one night at this hotel but I was very impressed. First, the rate for their two BR penthouse suite is fantastic - definitely go for the upgrade for a minimal difference in price. The hotel staff were all extremely friendly and helpful especially the 2 women at the front desk. The rooms were immaculately clean and in good condition. The sheets and linens were upgraded and the bed very comfy. Breakfast was included and offered a nice selection. I will definitely return when I am in the area.

rooms are amazing, staff is amazing, above and beyond to accommodate, would definitely recommend this establishment. I travel for work and live in hotels nearly 10 months a year, To get a room with an oven, not just a stove top but an actual oven...It's a beautiful thing. The little things make all the difference.

We stayed here for three nights for the New Year's Eve holiday. I specifically chose this hotel because we wanted a room with a fireplace. To our surprise there was a nice sized kitchenette as well. The room was very nice and comfortable. The service was very good, as well. There were plenty of restaurants not far from the hotel to choose from, as well as a good shopping center that has a supermarket. We even did some hiking in Roosevelt Forest which is 5 minutes from the hotel. The only draw back is that I felt the complimentary breakfast wasn't the best. But, we would definitely stay there again.

Older, nice, Residence Inn from the 1980's, with outside entrance-drive up to your room layout. Good parking set up. Nice location on Bridgeport Avenue, perched on a hill, near grocery stores and restaurants. Rooms seem to have been renovated well and are spacious. New furniture and fixtures. Breakfast in lobby area was above average, very good for a hotel meal. Staff was very accommodating from check in to check out. I have stayed at this hotel prior almost twenty years ago, it seems to remain consistent over the years.

My husband and I stayed at the Residence Inn in Shelton, CT for 3 months following a kitchen fire in our house. This could have been a stressful time for us but the staff at the Residence Inn made sure that it wasn't. On a daily basis, our needs were anticipated and met. Everyone there treated us like family. In addition to being polite and professional, the staff were also cheerful and pleasant and fun to be around. When other guests asked where we were from, we jokingly said we were just there for a staycation. It turns out, our response wasn't a joke - we plan to return for a staycation weekend next month! YES, it was THAT FANTASTIC there!
