Lovely long weekend on the river, just outside of town making trips in for market runs etc. a breeze. Felt very secluded on the property grounds with expansive lawn down to the river. Location on the river provided a place for shallow wading as well as deeper swimming holes. Bridge into town is adjacent to property so there is a steady stream of traffic in the background while floating/ fishing. The home itself is lovely and perfect size for 6 guests if you have kids that don't all mind sharing room.

Great place for a Hill Country experience

Beautiful situation, deer in the garden early in the morning, easy access to all of hill country locations, clean. quiet and comfortable, would like to stay again on another visit to this part of Texas

Second visit

We stayed at Frog Cottage for the second time and it does not disappoint. We had a great time with our 18-month old granddaughter watching the birds, deer and squirrels. Great stay!

Outstanding location

This place has the best of both worlds. Relatively secluded with river access and yet just 10 min walk into of Wimberley. Lovely home for a few nights stay.

Yearly girls trip

We loved the house, it was a very cozy place. However, we could have used more toilet paper, extra blankets and a handrail to get down the stairs for my mom and aunt. It was a beautiful place.

In love with the Frog Cottage

A perfect place to stay! Comfortable inside & out. Close to town and very quiet. Right on the river. Even though it’s the middle of a drought and the river is down to just pools, it’s so relaxing to see the animals that come to drink.

Great stay!

We had a great stay at this property. Much more spacious than the pictures made it look. Beautiful property, lots of room outside. Kids had a great time swimming in the river and feeding the deer. Loved how it felt isolated but very close to town.

Second Stay at Frog Cottage

We love the location and views at Frog Cottage. During our stay we made quick trips to the Guadalupe River and Schlitterbahn along with enjoying Wimberley. It was a perfect central location. We will stay there again!

Cute Property

Property was a cute little cabin in Wimberly next to the Blanco River. Perfect size for what we needed; nice and clean. The neighbor is super close and probably the only (very minor) concern when you bring a kiddo with you.

A quick weekend get a way

The property was great, very relaxing and plenty of space. Access to the lake was challenging ... due to the drought the water was very low. I don't know what the "usual" depth of the river is, but it was slow and it didn't flow. So that was disappointing, but it's not the fault of the property owners. I would suggest they add better photos of the river access to give an accurate depection of the river as it normally looks so guests can be prepared for the typical river access. We were not able to easily get in the water without slipping and cutting our feet. I'd just recommend prior to booking to discuss with owner the status of the river near the time of the booking. Otherwise great property! Beautiful grounds as well.

Just what we needed for our 25th anniversary.

Quiet and relaxing for a couples getaway, but spacious enough for a family or small friend group. Close to a thriving downtown area as well driving distance to several other towns.

Sweet and Relaxing

Time to catch up on life with friends sitting on deck in the evenings and enjoying the several hang out rooms inside. Large windows make the river seem close. And at night the lightening bugs covered the outside. Close enough to Wimberley to shop and eat a leisurely late lunch. But sitting on the back deck for wine and appetizers and sharing was the best. A storm went through out 2nd night downing leaves and large limbs. The owners cousins stopped by and even blew off the deck so we could sit outside that last evening.

Charming house on the river!

Perfect house to stay in for a visit to Wimberley. Very close to town square but has a secluded feel and is quiet with a beautiful view of the river. We enjoyed watching deer every morning and evening from the deck and generous windows. This house was clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with the items needed to cook meals. All of the decor added to the charm of this house we would stay in again without hesitation.

Extraordinary time at Frog Cottage

I’m still on cloud nine from our weekend In Wimberley and staying at Frog Cottage. This was our second stay at the property and I could not have been more pleased with the experience. The house is ideal and located within walking distance of downtown Wimberley. The property the house is on is out of a dream -deer grazed on the lawn in the morning light. Hawks flew over head at dusk. I would never imagine staying anywhere else when in Wimberley. Can’t wait to go back!

Our stay was great! Location was a 5 min walk to the square! Place was clean and had a great view. For us it was perfect as far as price, location, privacy, and amenities. Will return when it gets warmer to enjoy the river.

Oh I love this house. Its not that far from Wimberly, Right on the Blanco river. And everything about this house is so beautiful ,the decorations ,the way the house was set up .Away from the city and the noise. And had no problem communication with renter. Love the deck thats were we were at most of the time lol.Will be coming again and hopefully this cute little charming house will be available .Loved seeing the deer in the morning come through the yard to.Thank yall again for letting us stay

Dust and spiders

Great place would stay there again. Master bathroom the ledges all need to be cleaned very dusty cobwebs killed 2 spiders cob webs under sink. Under the bed is dirty. Some if the screens outside have a lot of cobwebs just needs to be brushed off with a broom. There was a bowl under sink in kitchen with some pods hope they were for the dishwasher there was no lable It may say under the description of the property about deer. They are everywhere and beautiful but I think people probably need to be told they are there and to watch for them when driving down the drive way because they will jump out in front of your car. Would have been nice to have a throw blanket or two in living room Master bed needs a foam topper bed pretty hard Thank you
