Glencraig es una casa contemporánea ubicada en un acre de jardín arbolado, cerca del río Nethy. Cuenta con 5 dormitorios, amplia cocina / comedor, salón, sala de juegos, 2 baños, otro aseo y lavadero / tendedero. Tanto la cocina como el salón tienen puertas que conducen al patio, perfectas para hacer barbacoas, observar las ardillas rojas y los pájaros o sentarse en la noche calentada por el brasero. La sala de juegos, con su mesa de ping-pong, Sky TV, reproductor de DVD y abundantes juegos, juguetes y libros para todas las edades, mantendrá a todos ocupados sin importar el clima. La propiedad tiene capacidad para 10 personas cómodamente y hay otras 2 camas plegables en la sala de juegos, si es necesario, así como una cuna de viaje y una silla alta. A los niños les encantará explorar los numerosos árboles, jugar juegos de pelota en el césped, encontrar la guarida casera y esconderse en la pequeña casa de juegos de madera. Hay amplias caminatas y pistas para bicicletas todo terreno justo desde la puerta y la tienda del pueblo y la carnicería están a solo 10 minutos a pie a lo largo del río.

Fabulous, warm, superbly equipped property

This house was perfect for our group of nine friends on a winter climbing holiday. It was warm, very comfortable and was probably the best-equipped house I've ever stayed in. The kitchen had everything we needed to cater for our large (and hungry) group, including a very good coffee machine and plenty of large pans and roasting trays. We also appreciated the excellent Sonos sound system in several of the rooms.The location was quiet and we saw a red squirrel in the garden a few times.I would recommend this property to anyone and will definitely book it again next time we visit the Cairngorm region.

Beautiful, quiet location and cosy house

We had a wonderful weekend staying at this beautiful property. The location was stunning and wonderfully quiet, and the house itself was perfect. Lovely and cosy, but also offering a games room which was a big hit with the little ones! Would definitely recommend, great communication with owners who were very helpful and fantastic value for money - we hope to return this year!

A beautiful, spacious home with lovely hosts!

We were a large family group, and really enjoyed our stay at Lyn and Michael's beautiful home. It is super clean, with good facilities and full of warmth and character. Some of the beds could have been more comfortable, and may need to be updated. The really well-maintained wrap around garden is the best feature of the house in our opinion, while our kids loved the game room! Michael and Lyn make every effort to welcome guests and address any needs. They were very understanding when we misplaced the keys (which we thankfully later found!). I have no reservations at all in recommending this lovely home for a large group!

Better than you think

A luxurious pad in the Abernethy forest which I think is somewhat better and more luxurious than the photos on the listing suggest. There was 12 of us and space was no issue. Great kitchen and walks right out of the door into the huge Abernethy estate. One of the single beds could perhaps do with a mattress upgrade, but other than that, a top spot for a holiday.

A wonderful weekend in the highlands

Amazing property for families. Kids loved exploring the woods and building dens within the property. Outdoor living at it’s best. House itself is brilliant, kids loved the games room and the house has plenty if space.

Fantastic family holiday

We booked Glenview for our family holiday this year and it was fantastic. The house is absolutely lovely, large, spacious and very well appointed, with pretty much everything you could think of - a games room, with large TV and huge selection of kids toys and board games, a lovely large sitting room with books, comfy sofas and a real wood fire ( included in the price), and a well- equipped, large kitchen. The bedrooms were all great too. The surrounding garden has a treehouse, and several shelters in the woods around the edge, a lovely lawn area, and a patio with outdoor seating. Our children, and our grandchildren, loved it. There are loads of forest walks on the doorstep, and a shop and cafe in the village 5 minutes walk away. We went hill climbing, walking and canoeing in the the beautiful surrounding landscape, as well as spending time just relaxing and resting. Lyn was so helpful and the house was lovely and clean. Can't recommend enough.

Dream Holiday

This is our second holiday in this property. It was every bit as good as the first. The house is ideal for a three generation stay. Well apportioned, well kitted out, gorgeous location in a quiet Highland village. Lots of activities in the area for all the generations, even in a mixture of weather. I would highly recommend Glencraig.

Quality time

A relaxing break with family enjoying quality time together. Children loves the squirrels at the feeder and the visiting Roe Deer Buck who loved the flowers in the planter. Great facility and location.

The house was well equipped and suited us well. A few suggestions for improvement; Include a hand towel for each guest as well as the bath towel. Having only one hand towel in each toilet is not hygienic for several days use for several people. Bathroom especially wash hand basin and showers could be a bit cleaner. We would have appreciated a better supply of toilet paper and soup for the toilets, considering there were no shops close by. The first morning there was no hot water. However this was promptly remedied. All in all a very enjoyable stay. Thank you.

Family Reunion

We had a magical week in Nethy Bridge reconnecting with relatives who live in the area. Glencraig was perfect for our party of 6 adults and we were able to have everyone over for dinner a couple of nights. We loved the spaciousness of the house and its location to many walking paths. Lastly, Lyn the owner was terrific in answering all of my questions before our trip from the States.
