My husband & I visited Melia 09/16-09/22. This was our first visit to the Bahamas to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We did not encounter one single rude person during our entire stay (including taxi ride to/from airport). We flew on Delta and had a smooth flight departing/return. Arrived at the hotel around 9:10 pm, we were directed upstairs (one flight) to check in at the Level lounge, only to find it closes at 9:00 pm, we were told we needed to check in downstairs. After explaining we were instructed to come here, they checked us in outside the lobby at the Lounge area bar. It was a bit loud and disruptive. Hotel would benefit to keep the Lounge open until guest arrived (we were not the only ones checking in at this time). There is a 200.00 securing deposit requested, but it didn’t bother us. After check-in, we went to our room, a Level Junior Suite, 5th floor room 515. We had a lovely view of the grounds and beach. Beautiful. The room was clean and spacious. We had a mini fridge with nothing in it. At check in they told us the fridge was “incase” we need to cool leftovers or other items. Would have been nice to have something as simple as a coke or ginger ale. Bed was uncomfortable, but we managed. Room noise was non-existent until two days prior to checkout, when some loud young adults arrived keeping us up from 1am till 3am with yelling and carrying on. The balcony was hard to use due to smokers next to us (kids next door). Otherwise, room was great. We did not

The adult pool was out of operation. The facilities need to be upgraded. Was okay for a couple of days, but would not stay there for more than a short trip.

we come to Melia third time within five years , we know exactly what to expect , beautiful beach , nice place and very nice people , our vacation was so nice . Thank you Melia at Nassau .

Property is good. The workers seem to be happy but need more direction and management. There were times that getting a simple drink was impossible because there was only one bar tender. I did not see the pool being cleaned once in the nine days I was there

The beach is extraordinary but the hotel needs serious upgrades. Some of the staff is not trained. Many don’t understand or have any sense of urgency. We wasted so much time waiting to be seated or get a clean table.

The place is clean and everyone is friendly. I would definitely go back.

property was in need up updates, most of the staff was rude and didn't seem to care, most of the food was awful. We only ate at the buffet one time because the food was so bad.

Before I booked this property I read the reviews and was hesitant to book it. However, everyone in the bachelor party was staying at the Melia, so I booked it anyways, hoping I would be pleasantly surprised. When I stepped foot into the lobby I was pleasantly surprised with how nice it was. Then I made my way to my room down a long stained carpeted corridor to my room. My room was decent; it had a great view of the ocean. Some of the decor and furniture in the room was dated and the shower head was finicky and took some time to work, which isn't a big deal. The towels were extremely nice and soft. Overall the room was acceptable. What really made this resort unacceptable for me was the quality of the food. Do you ever see those pictures of cafeteria food from the worse inner city schools in the US? That's what it looked like and tasted worse than it looked. The reservation process to book a table at the restaurants was horrendous. It never worked and they never had reservations. When we finally got a reservation, they told us we didn't have one. Just a headache all around. We ate at the Tapas restaurant (that didn't require a reservation). The food there was the best food at the resort, but only small plates and appetizers were included in the all inclusive package. The hibachi/asian restaurant was also a disappointment. The pool/pool bar were the highlights of this trip for me. All in all I would not stay at this resort again.

The resort is clean the staff is friendly, the animation crew is so so and the food i didnt like it, they dont have choices at all all days is the same lunch and same for dinner different day same food

Staff was not overall friendly. Many seemed not to want to be at work. Check in process was chaotic and unorganized. First day there, we caught the tail end of the buffet and there were bugs all over half the food. There were not enough working outlets in the hotel room, either. Iron did not work. Shower ran cold for prolonged periods of time, only warming right before you'd be getting out. The shampoo and conditioner is also a bad choice in scents. The refrigerator was restocked daily, with the exception of the bottled water, which is really the only thing we drank. You could order room service, but have to pay a delivery fee... this makes no sense, and also they would/ could not bring bottled water either. We ordered room service twice. Food was cold and half of my quesadilla had no cheese in it and a quarter of it was burned. Lifeguard staff was friendly and so were the bellmen. Older guy at out door bar was extremely rude. It appeared that many were unwilling to take drink orders from guests with the all inclusive bracelets on their wrists. Dining reservation process was horrible. We stood in line, prior to closing time at the desk and both ladies there, turned their lamps off and just left. You can't even use the app, after the time the desk closes either. Property was pretty and I liked how there were local merchants across the street, as well. Island is beautiful, but the staff need major training.

I have one of the best experience. I love everything about the property . I'm planning to go back again next year. Thank you Amelia for this beautiful experience.
