NEVER EVER go to Malia hotels. Old, very bad service in restaurants, noisy rooms. Not well clean beach. For us Malia hotel is max 1 star hotel. Drinks are the cheapest.Food same every day. Bad organization: many people are working but not effective.

The hotel is in need of some TLC in both the rooms and around the grounds. We did see a crew doing some painting. The restaurants where reservations were required had okay food and service was slow. Overall the workers were friendly and pleasant when dealing with us, except when we asked to have our in room safe opened twice and never did as they could never tell us how long to wait and we got sick of waiting and left the room for the beach. Workers would often not treat each other very well, I think this might be a cultural thing as we saw this when we were off of the resort also. This resort has a lot of potential if they continue with upgrades.

Check in was a bit slow, pool we visited most was a bit cold, restaurant's that required reservations were a bit slow. Seriously these were all minor "inconveniences" in our stay. Great place, staff were awesome, and we will definitely consider going back in the future.

Great facilities: beautiful pools, fun drinks, good food (I found plenty to eat, but my friend didn't), beach access is excellent, water sports (stand-up paddle board, snorkel gear, etc.) were free and in good condition, nightly entertainment was fun and one DJ in particular was excellent. It was spring break so there were some (but not too many) young people getting pretty drunk, but they stayed in the adult pool and in truth they looked like they were having a great time. There were plenty of people of all ages and families. I really liked this aspect. One thing for the hotel to think about: It is true what others say that the dining staff is often not taking drink orders quickly. However, I think this is a work issue: too much work, too few staff. Everyone in the dining area was friendly and courteous and they try their best to get to you for your orders while also clearing tables and cleaning up. Breakfast is busiest. If I could, I'd return.

Great room oceanview w balcony Mini bar was mini 2 beers 2 sodas and a bag of chips and a granola bar, not what I call inclusive should be. Very courteous staff a few standout bartenders look for Edwin he was the best Crappy tv reception they came to the room every day and couldn't fix it... Restaurants were very good

Nice place- good food. Beach was beautiful! Restaurants w reservations were worth it- staff was very friendly & any needs were met timely. Would definitely go back!

Room wasn't ready when we got there... had to be switched into another room the next day. I wanted on a like for everything the whole time I was there. Book your reservations before or you'll have to eat at the buffet which was disgusting. Beach and drinks were great. Food outside was good. Just an okay all inclusive. Spend some extra money and go somewhere else.

Easy check in and out. Friendly and helpful staff. Right on the beach with lots to do. Several different restaurants on site with decent food.

We love it - very beautiful place - The staff was very friendly. The restaurants we did eat at were great the food was great the service was good a little bit slow on the service but of course the place is busy so I expected that but overall we had an amazing time at a beautiful resort and will definitely return there again. We also did the snorkeling trip that's offered on the beach and it was amazing we had a great time . Captain Sony and first mate Devon were hilarious and made the trip so fun.

Hotel needs some updating. Grounds were beautiful- beach is gorgeous. Food was really good for an all inclusive- drinks were great!

LOS RESTAURANTES SON MALOS PERO ESTÁN BONITAS LAS INSTALACIONES SIN EMBARGO LOS CUARTOS ESTÁN VIEJOS, CON ALFOMBRAS SIN LAVAR Y PUERTAS OXIDADAS. EL SERVICIO ES REALMENTE MALO

I wouldn't stay here again it wasn't at all what I was expecting. First the food is awful, just awful! They have strange policies about beach towels and some of the staff can be rude. I witnessed two separate staff arguments while I was there which is very annoying when you're seeking a peaceful vacation. It's not a bad place just not my cup of tea. I've stayed at other Melia properties that I loved, I will not be adding this one to the list.

Nice hotel. Could use a little sprucing up. Gift shop pricing extremely high. Off the resort, the area is rough looking. Other resort hotels next to Melia are in poor shape.

Beautiful hotel 2nd visit, staff friendly rooms very clean and kept well, food very good lot of variety to choose from. Plan on booking again for next year. Very happy customer

Hotel desperately needs an update. Rooms are not cozy.. Looks like shambles.. Needs an uplift... Needs more cleanliness.. But would recommend.

We loved the beach , so close to the hotel. We had a wonderful time

First off I know luxury and I know poverty and this trip has def been on the luxury part first off the beaches are actually blue and I only was skeptical of that but since I knew there was blue water I was looking for other things to see about this trip quick run down for what you get in this all inclusive package you get food fun and games and new people come in everyday food is 4-5 stars at time in the buffet given they have to feed so many people the specialty food places are 5 stars and fashion foods which was amazing we spent a 100 bucks tips taxi and we also go 100 back from see breeze company there is privacy along the side of the hotel the people live in alittle poverty and have to grind everyday but they understand there place and what they have to do to survive so when you go on to your trip binder stand where your going and don't put your everyday livelihood on this Caribbean space because it's nothing like the home or place your coming from unless your from extreme living circumstances and appreciate the people the culture and there grind to be providers for there families and also if you can leave your egos at home there was a lot of bad reviews on this place but after going I can't imagine what these bad reviews are from but over privileged living expecting the same on there trip last thing to remember is the Caribbean is hot humid extreme so things that work other places don't work there so be open and understand when your traveling and make the best of it

My boyfriend and I wanted somewhere right on the beach and offered great amenities. This resort covered it all. There isn't a casino but the pools, beach, spa, and water activities available really made up for that. The food was great and the staff were very helpful. It takes a while to speak with anyone at the front desk, but that's because this resort is so popular. We had a wonderful time and the price was perfect for us.

Our room was fine, clean. Took 3 days to get our snacks & Bev for our room. The Buffet was the worst I have ever seen. Food was not good. U had no idea what u were eating. Nothing was labeled. The buffet staff looked unhappy and not willing to help. The mgr of buffet needs training on how to run a buffet and have friendly staff. Bar service around the pool would have been nice. Overall this resort needs a facelift and staff training. I did not feel pampered. Our room maid was awesome tho. She totally took care of us.

Very nice hotel, but the staff is the reason I can't give them an excellent rating. Most of the staff did not have great customer service and were not friendly at all. The facility itself is very nice.
