Meliá Nassau Beach - All Inclusive

We arrived on 9/11/17, the hotel was mostly empty, but all the staff were kind, friendly and helpful. The hotel and grounds were well kept and very clean, our room was clean, plenty of towels, our refrigerator was stocked. The only restaurant open was the buffet, and it was good. The view and the beach and pools were beautiful. As the week went on more people came and more restaurants opened. We totally understand because of the hurricane. The shuttle to the casino was great, too. All in all it was a wonderful vacation in paradise.

Was great, staff sooo friendly, we did have a great time very clean hotel, great music and great food Staff did excellent job

Last time we visited Melia it was two years ago,so we know what to expect, hotel is very nice, staff very friendly and helpful, food very good ,and the most important beach, and that is perfect,so I will come back again and recommend this hotel, thanks Melia for excellent vacation,Alex from Slovakia

I read the negative reviews but thought I would give the place the benefit of the doubt. Boy, I wasted my money. This hotel is need of a serious overhaul. Room was not ready when arrived, staff was not apologetic or accommodating. No bath towels or soap 2 of the 4 days there. Rooms outdated, food was horrible. Only one place to eat breakfast, you had to have reservation for all the dinner spots except buffet. Waited an hour with a reservation only to be served rice a roni style fried rice. All the portions at dinner were very small, still went to buffet after. Forget about lounging on the beach or by the pool. People place towels on chairs at 6am and don't come to beach until 2pm. Not enough chairs or shade. People heckle you all day on the beach to buy stuff or go on excursions.

No bar on family pool and long wait for food and room service sucks

Don't purchase the Level. Not worth the $900 upgrade. No benefits or better service. Should have stayed at sandals or Baha Mar. Would not return. Baha Mar is grand and great customer service. Although not on beach would consider staying there.

We were there for the resort so we didn't mind the outdated hotel. The beach was great, good food choices, Good location. Though the hotel is old, the rooms are comfortable enough, except that the management didn't care fixing the elevator which only one functions most of our stay there. What we got was fair enough for what we paid and we had fun the whole time we stayed at the hotel.

This resort is a lot of fun and the staff is exceptional. The bartender named perry is he best by far!!!! But everyone is above expectations! Only drawback is they. We're trying to trap cats that roamed around! LEAVE THE CATS ALONE!!!!! They hurt no one!!!

The facility is nice and the beach itself is beautiful but not great value for all inclusive. The food at all the restaurants was terrible and it really put a damper on the week. Plus the drinks were bottom shelf alcohol. Staff was generally friendly but service was slow.

I was in the "Level Room" and it was not worth it. Besides getting a 25% discount at the Black Angus, and no service charge for room service the room and service was the same as the regular room. People were friendly and nice all around. The service was the same for everyone. The pools were clean and the beach was great. The room needs upgraded but it is well kept.

very nice resort & being all inclusive. not sure if the upgrade to the level is worth it but we enjoyed our stay.

Overall, we had a comfortable experience. The food selection at the buffet was very limited, especially during breakfast. We opted to have lunch and dinner in one of the restaurants, which was better for us - some restaurants were better than others. The beach chairs were often taken very early in the morning, especially those with an umbrella ~ however, the beach was beautiful! In my 5 day stay, I didn't experience any obvious differential treatment between Level guests and myself being a regular paying guest ~ however, during my last day, I went to ask for a drink at the lobby bar and I was told that it wasn't open until 10am, when I checked the time it was literally 9:59am! The bartender appeared bothered when I told him that I would wait the minute to 10am. He then proceeded to ask everyone in my party who asked for a drink to show him our bracelets,I thought that was a bit abrasive. I have stayed at several all inclusive resorts and not once have I been asked to prove that I am a guest at their resort. It makes me wonder if I would have been denied a drink if I had checked out prior to asking for my last drink. Besides this interaction, I had a wonderful time, my 6 year old had an awesome time at the beach watching the fishes swim right next to him and pool hopping. The hotel does need upgrades and I left wondering why the windows in the hallway are covered in white which makes the average height person not able to see the outside of the resort.

The resort and the rooms were very nice and we had an awesome view overlooking the beach. The evening entertainment was really good too and they always had activities throughout the day. The only negative about this resort is the food. Omg, the food was horrible and whatever you do, do not go to the O'Grille restaurant. It had the worst service and the worst food. Food came out hours late uncooked and cold. It was very disappointing. I was having a great time until I made dinner reservations to go to that restaurant to have dinner with my boyfriend. All the other food locations were good especially the Mexican restaurant. If you are big on food, this is not the resort for you; just spend a couple more dollars and go to another resort which might have better food.

Hotel and staff were good, I was t expecting since I read all the reviewes before going but the experience was good Friendly staff and the hotel has beautiful beaches. The food was great , the only thing is that the hotel does get pretty crowded but I would defiently returned this hotel

Staff wasn't nice, we have to wait long time to be attended by the waitress at restaurants, hotel conditions aren't good, nice beach, good pools.

we have a great time staying in Melia good food nice room and nice people definitely we're going back next year.

Remember to make reservation early for your restaurant of choice. Because it is All-Inclusive, the reservation filled up quickly

Too long to explain. Overall it was not worth the amount that I spent. I am very disgusted with the level of service and the condition of the resort.

Overall enjoyed our stay. The hotel lobby needs more lighting. Food was okay. Breakfast buffet was good- fresh and a nice variety. The dinner buffet was not as fresh. Again more lighting in the buffet line may have helped. Help-yourself areas would be nice, frees up staff as well. Like ice cream machine and snacks available in the grill area near pool/beach.

Have stayed at this hotel 15 out of the last 17 years. Was there when it was a Ramada, then a Sheraton now the Melia. Unless you are paying the outrageous price of "The Level" you will feel like a secondhand guest. You can't use the quiet end of the beach, there are some liquors/mixed drinks you have to pay for and the staff is openly more friendly with "The Level" guest. For the regular paying you will stand in line for at least 30 minutes to be checked in and we have had friendly staff at the desk but the cannot answer basic guestions about the hotel. For our last trip we were intitled to a gift book worth $400, we had to ask for it and the clerk seemed oblivious to it's existence. We had to ask that she inquire about the booklet, if we had asked I don't believe we would have gotten it. Turns out we only used one coupon, the other coupons were useless.
