Great resort off the beaten path in Nassau. Spectacular views and friendly staff. Especially Karen. You are a 2 minute walk to Love Beach with access right from the resort. You can chill with almost no one on the beach!

My husband and I had a last minute vows ceremony on the pier at Compass Point and it was amazing! A week prior we were officially married on an exclusive Cay in The Bahamas where we never had the opportunity to say "I do" during the ceremony......we left our wedding weekend longing to say our vows....so we immediately planned another ceremony - I do Take 2! Philip and Karen were incredible.... as soon as we explained our situation to them, they made it happen! They were a breath of fresh air! The venue was perfect - not a cloud in the sky, the turquoise waters were like glass and we had the perfect number of friends to celebrate with. Moral was top notch - serving cocktails down at the dock following the ceremony and even surprised us with a Junkanoo performance with a handful of the Compass Point staff! We are forever grateful for this ever so special day - all due the outstanding staff at Compass Point - Philip, Karen and Moral! Best Day ever!

We stayed at Compass Point for 8 nights and had a lovely, relaxing vacation. The Good: * Staff was wonderful. Friendly, helpful and conversational. No request went unanswered. * The grounds. It’s a physically beautiful place with stunning views throughout and an incredible view of the water from the restaurant. The pool and sitting areas were all well maintained. * The food and drinks from the restaurant were excellent. We didn’t have one meal that we didn’t enjoy. The Not-So-Good: * This is the reason for four, and not five, stars: The resort hosted a pool party that was sponsored by a brewery and featured a band and DJ on Sunday. The party went from 3p - 10p, restricting our use of the pool and led to a lot of noise all night (our room wasn’t far from the pool). It seemed a little rude to subject guests who weren’t interested in attending to the late night DJ party and the drunken 20 somethings. * There were a lot of items on the menu that were not available (and not special items. It seemed strange that the staff almost always had to check if a dish was available. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay at Compass Point. Would recommend it for any traveler looking for a quieter stay in the Nassau area, outside of the city (just check the calendar).

We stayed at Compass Point for a few nights after staying at Atlantis Resort for a business conference. After staying there, Compass Point was exactly what we needed! So beautiful, quiet, peaceful and private. The property itself is very quaint and rustic, but still has all the amenities. The cottages are well equipped and the beds and bedding are super comfortable and cozy. The views are spectacular! Gorgeous sunsets every night. Compass Point has a very colour, interesting history. Many famous musical artists have recorded music nearby have stayed at the resort. Overall, we had absolutely no complaints regarding our stay here. Only endless compliments! We loved our cottage (102), the restaurant was handy, enjoyed the live music on the weekend and the food was good! The staff was excellent, helpful, informative, kind and courteous. We are already planning our next trip there- we absolutely loved it!!!!

If this resort were located anywhere else but at water's edge it would be lucky to demand a $100 rate a night -- badly in need of renovation, bathrooms are terrible, cushions on lounge chairs badly stained -- go for the view and a drink - don't stay or eat there !

The pictures are great and why we went, but don’t be fooled. The entire property was poorly maintened, and nothing worked, including the staff. We had to ask, not exaggerating, five times for them to turn on the “hot tub” which never got hot. My six year old daughter called it the not hot hot tub. Pool was dirty, restaurant was below average, bland tasteless food that took forever to get. And the kicker are the ABSURD fees they charge you upon check out. Hold onto your wallet, it’s about a 20% increase in what you though you were paying. If this place charged $200 a night for the ocean view bungalow, it would be worth it. But for $450 a night, don’t even bother. We stayed three nights, I would never go back.

This was a major disappointment. We have gone to the Bahamas for 10 years and have frequently gone to Compass Point for their lunches and great Pina Colada with great fresh fruit and delicious. We were there this year, 2019, and they whole experience has gone dramatically down hill. The drinks were from a restaurant slush machine with some rum added after you order. The food left much to be desired. Our fish tacos were soggy and largely fell apart and contained very little fish. We do not plan on ever going back and would caution others to think twice.

Myself, husband and 6 year old son visited, we planned on having lunch (over $20/ head) and drinks. When we asked to buy a pool pass so my son could swim ~ right next to where we were receiving lunch service we were told that an adult had to physically be in the pool with the child the entire time... I have travelled the world & worked as a travel agent and while I completely understand it is unsafe for children to be unaccompanied at the pool, I have NEVER heard of a parent needing to be physically inside the water the entire time a child whom is able to swim is. Wasn’t worth the additional $70.00 on top of the well over $100 for lunch in a dated property with dusty tables and a slippery pool deck.

If you’re looking for a spot away from the noise and resorts, this place is exactly for you. It is charming, colorful and rustic. Its located on the West Side, away from downtown and cruise ships, and is very quiet. We had an Elevated Sea Hut room (Room 108) with a direct view of the ocean. The property is quiet and relaxing, and the sounds of the ocean and birds surround you. Our room had a refrigerator and microwave, and kitchenette with a sink and hot plate. There is a restaurant on site for breakfast lunch and dinner, and room came with a $40 breakfast credit each day. There is a spa on site, where I received an awesome massage and facial. They give you big beach towels and Love Beach is just a few steps away. The bus/jitney is super easy and passes pretty regularly. You just wait outside the property. For $1.50 you can get downtown in 20 mins. There is a super market about 1.7 miles away so you can keep snacks in the room. That is also easy to get to on the jitney. They also allowed us to check in two hours early and check out one hour later. All thanks to Karen-she’s so hospitable.

This low key resort was the perfect gathering spot for a family and friends celebration. Pristine setting on the tip of Nassau, a private beach, comfortable rooms and a good restaurant/bar open for breakfast until late at night. Staff went to extraordinary efforts to cater to our party, setting up a barbecue on the beach as well as several private banquets. All with good cheer.
