Good location. Only complain is the indoor poor, we tried to use it, but looks dirty
Upon my arrival I was allowed into my room due to the fact that the unexperienced staff has not charged me for incidental fees I had left and arrived back and was not allowed back in my room until I paid for incidental fees causing me to have to go to the bank to get $100 more and wait for them to recharge me all over again I went through Orbitz to get the room and had trouble with the manager and staff after I had already checked in due to non-payment of the incidental fees which they should have charged me in the beginning of my arrival
The staff were the best I have seen in a long time.. However the room was kind of small and tight to have 2 queen beds. And the door handles were falling off and I found it to be kind of dated.
Overall, our stay was enjoyable. Amonge likes were the great continental breakfast which included fresh waffles, buscuits and gravy, hard boiled eggs, and all other common breakfast foods such as cereal, oatmeal, bagels, toast, yogurt, fruit, etc... The beds were most comfortable and we appreciated the friendly service at the front desk. We liked that the pool closed at 11 pm instead of 10 pm like some hotels. Among dislikes were the inconvenient electrical outlet placement, the bathroom fan came on automatically with the light and was noisy and annoying. Our keys kept getting deactivated by cell phone/remote keyless entry; afer the first time it happened, no one informed us this could happen and what to do to prevent it. Also, we did not appreciate the staff leaving the drapes left opened after they had been in to clean and replenish the room. We did not want passersby to look in and see our things - especially because we left my laptop sitting on the table. Yikes! Everything considered, the likes outweighed the dislikes, and we will choose Fairfield again the next time we are staying in Smyrna, TN.
I wouldn't recommend if traveling alone. Its next to a place that I think sells diesel trucks so it was kind of an industrial feel. The room didn't feel new, more like remodeled. It didn't have that new feel to it. I guess I just expected more for $95. I would only stay at this hotel again if it was cheaper.
