Poor wifi and cleaning issues. Good view.

The hotel is located well, right by the bridge, shops and restaurants. Had a deluxe room, which has a balcony and a good view of the river, bridge and temple. The room was not too bad, but a little rough aroud the edges. The balcony doors dont slide open and closed very well and it's hard to lock them. The tiles in the shower clearly hadn't had a deep clean in a while, as mold and black grime was in quite a few of the tile joints. Bathroom was also quite small and there wasn't always an abundance of hot water. The most irritating part for me was the wifi. It was very poor throughout. Especially on the top floor. We got them to try and sort it out a few times, but it never really worked. For the amount paid (for india equivalent at least), I would have expected better cleaning standards and internet supply. Most staff were friendly enough. There is probably better for the same money, although it's a good location and view (if you pay the extra for the balcony facing the river).

A bit overpriced. Cleanliness average. Awful wifi

We were dissapointed. We paid for a room that would get a balcony and view of the river. This was about the only real upside, as it was/is a good view. However, the hotel is a little rough around the edges and needs much improvement in many areas. Firstly, the wifi was very poor. Hardly worked the whole tome was there and kept callong for them to fix, but they either gave a very temporary fix/reset, or didn't do much. They need to get it properely fixed or upgraded. Especially for the amount paid for the room. The clenaliness could have been better. Tiles in the shower were not clean and was black in the tile joints. Room you could tell was just quickly swept and not properely cleaned between guests. Mattress needs a mattress topper. Its just the thin sheet and then the mattress, which i hate Balcony door didnt really open or close properely and was difficult to lock. Needs a lot of things done to improve and change for the price.

The location of the hotel was great, few steps away from the Laxman Jhula. Views of the Ganga from the rooms & adjoining balcony were beautiful. Staff were courteous and extremely helpful. Overall, really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Ishan.

Great hotel

Lovely hotel. Couldnt find my reservation upon arrival but was sorted out quickly. Book room with views of the ganges. The hotel resident dog is lovely! Great location. Great food. Wonderful staff. Great pick.
