We had a great experience. Beautiful hotel located perfectly between Napa and Yountville. It was quiet, beautiful in November and right in the middle of all the hot air balloons taking off at sunrise.
I'll say that some people would love this place - the ratings are pretty good. There are some high-end features that you won't find in most places. But, the attempt to make the place look modern is also what takes away from the comfort. Cold cement floors and gray decor takes the "warmth" out of the place. The service is great and full of friendly people. Location is good. Just surprised at the price for what it is.

Booked this hotel based on other reviews. Hotel was very cute and rooms were comfortable. Breakfast was amazing! Great bath products and big, comfy robes! Close to everything...only down fall was the noise from the road. Once the AC was on, it wasn't so bad.
Stayed at the Senza this week for business travel in the wine country. Chose the hotel for its location and great reviews. The room and facilities were awesome. Would definitely go back again!!
Stayed in the Winery view King suite, loved it. Great view and comfortable, luxury style rooms. Large soaking tub and separate large 2 head shower were wonderful. I'd recommend asking for a 2nd floor room which has a better view.
We wish we could have stayed longer than one night! Everything about this hotel is wonderful. After a few hours of traveling the pool area and adjacent hot tub were very inviting. Landscaping is beautiful and views of vineyards and mountains are breathtaking. Our room in a two story building was spacious and had a balcony facing the mountains and vineyards, also a soaking tub and a huge walk-in shower. There was also a gas fireplace which we didn't use. Each evening a different winery comes to the attractive lobby and offers a wine tasting. The hotel provides tasty snacks with the wine. Breakfast each morning is included and it was fresh and delicious complete with a great espresso/cappuchino machine available all day.
Great location, between Napa and Yountvile, close to many wineries. Beautiful setting and large comfortable rooms(senza rooms) with a fire place and large bathroom. We certainly liked the afternoon tasting 'happy hour' with a guest winery different every time. Friendly staff, felt like home
Me and my girlfriend stayed here last weekend. Beautiful room with fireplace, very quaint and romantic. Great staff, very helpful and the complimentary wine hour and continental breakfast were fantastic.
Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 3 nights earlier in the year. it was quaint, yet modern, and so comfortable. i couldn't have been happier with the experience and i'll definitely be staying there again on my next trip to Napa.
I recently visited La Residence (now re-branded as Senza) and had a great stay: - Very accommodating staff - Fun amenities (in-room fireplace, pool, hot tub, outdoor fire pit, on-site grape vines) - Nightly wine / cheese hour - Daily breakfast (good pastries) Had a great time and would definitely stay here again!
Very quaint boutique hotel in a good location for napa wineries.
It was my first trip with my new girlfriend and our first time to Napa. It was so much fun and romantic. We used Platypus Wine Tours and Mark our driver was fantastic. We met some great couples on the tour. By the third winery we were best of friends. The food was amazing. Recommend Mustard's Grill and have the pork chop. La Residence was perfect for our stay. We wanted a country feel and that was what we got. Tucked away but still close to what we needed. Staff was so friendly. Rooms were super clean. The pool and hot tub added to our romantic feel. Overall great time and look to go again .
We needed an easy place to stay for the night and we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful grounds, the cozy and comfortable room and the evening wine tasting. The breakfast in the morning was fresh and delicious! Highly recommend!
comfortable quiet room ; good value and serene setting, even though right on the highway in Napa valley
Great place if you are going to wine country and don't want a "hotel" experience nor do you want the small B & B. A perfect size, great staff, well located for those wine tasting trips. Nice pool and hot tub. I would definitely stay here when I visit Napa again. This is not a family vacation spot, I would say it was more a romantic couples location.
Even though located on the highway through Napa Valley, our room in the main building was quiet and private. Very comfortable bed, large lovely bathroom.
We had high hopes. The websites photos were so nice. However, we were disappointed by a bed that was so soft that my back hurt the next day, a room with no dvd player (though most do have dvd players) and that was just so so, and a staff that just seemed to want to give the bare minimum and no more. Being super friendly goes a long way with us, but this place does not have a friendly atmosphere. And, although the breakfast room is nice and comfortable, the breakfast is blah, nothing special at all. Coffee, on the other hand, was very good. Overall, not worth the money at all.
Overall la residence was fine. The staff was great, but it was the little things that made it a 3 star rather than a 4 star. First, I felt as if I rented a cabin rather than stayed at a hotel, for Some that would be fine, but I like a busier atmosphere. Second, the continental breakfast, skip it, it's not worth it even when it's free. Like I said la residence is fine, just don't expect 4 stars and you will enjoy it.
My husband and I really enjoyed staying here for a couple nights in Napa. The room was large and the bed and shower were the ultimate in comfort! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Excellent. As some earlier reviews stated, it is located right off the highway so there is some highway noise if you are overly sensitive to it, but we never noticed it while in our room. Our room was very quiet. And if you want the ultimate in privacy than this may not be for you. If you keep the drapes open others can and will look into your room, so you need to keep the drapes closed which does block out the light, however, since we were out all day that didn't seem to be too big of a problem for us. A nice place for a romantic get away or a trip with friends, but not designed for children.
