Not far away from Napa downtown. The room was clean and it has everything that you need for your overnight stay. The heater is working fine.
My stay was pleasant. One thing I really did like, that was unexpected, was that my room had a covered car space next to entry door. Very convenient. Not for a big car but perfect for smaller - mid size. My only real negative thing was that you can really hear the traffic on the road.
It was complete and clean in spite of its humble and simple looks.
Yuck! Would not recommend staying here if you can help it. The foundation in the room was uneven, stains on curtains, walls and bed skirt, and the bed is hard as a rock.

This is a low-end motel, not an "Inn". Had to get them to fix front door so it would shut. Window AC is loud and has no remote, so sleeping in a stuffy room is tough. Dark and dreary, empty walls, and photo is deceptive. This is more a $50 room, even in tourist season. On the good side, shower, bed, and tv are ok. But... avoid if possible
The door keys didn’t work properly. The tub was stained.
The staff here were really nice and friendly, but the place was a little disappointing. It just seemed old...like the towels were old and various sizes, there was areas of the room that had dust and cob webs like the window in the bathroom and the AC. The ice machine was were the front desk was....there was only one garbage and it was in the bathroom. I just thought I'd be stepping into something better. There was also bugs...there was spiders (yes, plural) and that "long bug" you can find in bathrooms. I just expected better, I was happy with the bed though.

It is great. Nice room with a view of dear. Microwave and fridge are nice.
Room was rundown and dirty. Sheets were dirty. Checked in and within an hour checked out.

This was my second stay at the Discovery Inn and I was happy both times! You cannot beat the price for the location and cozyness. There is plenty of parking in front of the rooms and a spacious refrigerator. The room was clean and comfortable. The bad reviews reflect some high expectations for a small place. Compared to a couple of hotel/motels in the area, this is a great option (best bang for your buck). The staff was also welcoming and I plan to visit again soon!

AVOID THIS PLACE! STAY AWAY! A very nasty and unpleasant woman said we had to pay an additional $25 for a room already paid for with two double beds, since she claimed the reservation was only for two people instead of the three I had listed on orbitz when making the reservation. She would not let us cancel and refund when we objected to such sleazy business practices. From reading reviews after the fact, it seems many other customers have had similar terrible experiences with this overpriced dump of a hotel. They apparently can get away with it due to the very high demand for rooms in Napa. BUGS IN THE ROOMS, poor air conditioning, scanty breakfast provided in a nook in front of the desk, very shady and unpleasant proprietors all mentioned in old reviews. Nothing changed based on that feedback. They really don’t care. When I threatened to leave bad reviews she said go right ahead.
This hotel was cheaper than most in Napa...but be careful...you get what you pay for....I was somewhat sad that it was in desperate need of a make-over...very old and needed some improvements...the best that can be said is that the a/c worked great....!! Really kinda of dilapidated....carpeting very dirty and chairs were stained also....ewww
This motel does not have the best reputation in Napa but it looks like the owner is doing his best to turn it around the property is cleaned up and he was very attentive to the one small plumbing issue we encountered I would stay here again
