We had a night here as we caught our flight.not kid friendly at all the staff did give us a room away from the noisy road Thus our room was quiet but the room had minimal basics.with children this is a definite no_no.

Located in the heart of nairobi, this middle budget hotel caters to travellers and locals. It is located around several bars and restaurants and the university is a 10 mins walk. Security is ok. There are security on every floor. This is good because ladies tend to try slipping to the rooms from a bar located on the first floor of the hotel. Invited 'guests' must submit their passports at front desk. The rooms are ok, staff is friendly and food is errrrrr .......(for me as a Nigerian) could do with more chilli spices.

this is not my first time choose to stayed at Hotel 680, this hotel is in the hub of Nairobi city center and easy access to most of tourist spot. Walking distance to Java Coffee House, Grocery store, Safaricom, Banks, 10mins walk to famous Maasai Art Centre, hotel staffs are very friendly, security are very tight, you certainly feel very safe staying at this hotel. the only pitfall is the hotel is quite old but very well maintain and very good upkeep. hotel is opposite restaurant club so make sure you inform reception staff to give you the room that opposite to hotel lobby if you prefer quite environment.

Checked in with my husband for 5 nights after doing the booking online. We felt like going back as soon as we walked in at the reception as it's so dull and feels like a dead end. After checking in we were assisted to our room which was on the 8th floor. The room was so dull and as soon as we sat on the bed it felt like it would break the next minute with so much cracking noise. The mini kettle was chained on the wall (presuming to avoid being stolen). The wardrobes were dirty and stained so we couldn't hang our clothes in there. Breakfast had nothing fancy so we opted to forego our paid breakfast and instead walked to java restaurants for our breakfasts. The staff were gloomy, none of them smiled at us or acknowledged us for the 5 days we stayed there irrespective of us saying hi to them. The housekeeping never replaced towels on time and we were forced to wait for towels which were so worn out. A word of advice... 1.)if you happen to find yourself in this hotel, please DON'T look at the mattress (we happened to see how they look like as we walked past a room that had its door open and the housekeeping were doing some change of sheets...) 2.) Be wary of the hookers outside the hotel.

This was a safe and secure hotel downtown. Was happy they had WiFi but disappointed there was no pool or hot tub. I could have really used a dip in a pool! Apparently they allow use at the sister hotel across town, but we didn't have time for that. The club across the street was blaring music all night which didn't really help me sleep...

I stayed at the hotel six nights for visiting clients and attending a trade fair at KICC earlier this month. The location of the hotel is really convenient, about 7-minute walk from KICC and many restaurants and shops nearby. The breakfast is good with many selections and some of them change daily. There is a tiny 24 hour convenient store on first floor and the staff is really helpful. I bought my Safaricom sim card at the store and the staff was very patient to help me out to set up sim card, top up value and resolve some connection issues during my stay. I really appreciate the convenient store staff's great assistance, whenever I needed.

Hotel enjoys a Central location in the city. However it is rather noisy, noise is mostly from across the street. Very heavy traffic at entrance as people are visiting shops on 2nd-5th floor. The deco in the rooms is in need of an update. Very tiny bathroom, no air-conditioning. Restaurant has several items on the menu not available. No spa in the hotel as claimed, in my search for the spa I ended up on the 2nd floor which was full of small shops and offices, the floor was so dirty it even had dust bins infront of the lift!. Rooms not thoroughly cleaned corners had visible dust. Heavy presence of armed guards on every floor was intimidating and gave me the feeling of insecurity. This is definitely not a 3 star hotel but one star. The rating must be from a long time ago. Only book to stay here if you are looking for a 1 star hotel. Need less to say I did not stay here even though I had paid on line for two nights.

I stayed for one night in march 2017 and it was was after 13 years that i returned to this hotel! I stay here due to its proximity to CBD and KICC. The hotel room was clean & tidy, the staff friendly hence worth the price i was charged.

We have stayed here before, stayed again in July and August 2016 for 5 nights, the reception staff are below average but the porters are friendly and helpful. The manager is also very friendly and helpful. The rooms are basic but good, flyscreens on the windows, one of the best breakfasts on offer anywhere, including the excellent coffee, great hotel with live music most nights across the road, the security guard located on every floor is unusual, sitting there doing nothing all day and night, café downstairs, no microwave, wifi is poor, will stay again for sure. Make sure you book prior with internet as the price is a lot more if booking at reception

excellent service and I must say the location is perfect. You have to get do with the noise around especially just across there is an open club but the same club simmers offers you the exotic side of Nairobi so its just a perfect blend
